LCX 800, LCX 800i Local Control Unit

The Infinity LCX 800 is a stand-alone, programmable, microprocessor-based controller that is used for Direct Digital Control and monitoring of packaged HVAC units, heat pumps, and fan coil units.

The Infinet’s true peer-to-peer communications protocol provides the /afinity LCX 800 with the ability to instantly communicate with an Infinity network controller such as the CX 9200, as well as the entire network of Andover Infinet field controllers. Up to 254 LCX 800s can be networked with the Infinity CX family of controllers.

The LCX 800 provides eight universal inputs and eight Form C relay outputs in a small open-class enclosure. The LCX 800i is a scaled-down version of the LCX 800 — it has eight universal inputs with no relay outputs.

COVIVIINICATIONS

Communication to the Infinity LCX 800 is handled via the Infinet bus, a twisted pair, half duplex RS-485 interface. Communication s accomplished with a token passing protocol which provides fill transparent data transfer between all Infinity controllers on the network.

INPUTS

Both the Infinity LCX 800 and LCX 800i are capable of sensing eight inputs. Each input can accept 2 digital (on/off), counter (upto4 Ha), voltage (0-5VDC), temperature signal, or a supervised input for alarm monitoring.

OUTPUTS

The Infinity CX 800 has eight Form C relay outputs rated at 5 amp 2¢VAC/DC, which provide on/off or pulse width modulation switching for control of fans, heating and cooling equipment, and economizers.
