IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
These include the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prior to first use, the toaster should be used for a few minutes without bread inside it. There will be some smoke at first; this is entirely normal

  2. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by an authorized technical service.

  3. Do not touch t he hot surface. Use handles or knobs.

  4. Do not use outdoors.

  5. Keep the toaster out of reach of children.

  6. Use only pre-sliced bread.

  7. Do not use the toaster near curtains, upholstery or other decorative fabrics, as they can easily catch fire and cause a safety hazard.

  8. Do not remove food from the toaster while the plunger is down.

  9. Do not remove the crumb tray while the toaster is plugged in. Disconnect from power supply, wait for it to cool, then remove the crumb tray.

  10. Bread may burn. Therefore, toasters must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials.

  11. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

  12. Household use only.

  13. Do not immerse in water.

  14. WARNING-To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning.

  15. A short power-supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

  16. Longer detachable power-supply or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in use.

  17. This appliance has a polarized plug ( one blade is wider than the other).
    To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

  18. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

  19. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  20. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or adjustment.

  21. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.

  22. Do not let cord hang over edge or table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

  23. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

  24. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet.
    To disconnect, turn any control to “off’~ then remove plug from wall outlet.

  25. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

  26. Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock.

  27. A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and t he like, when in operation.

  28. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  29. The supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance must not be used.

  30. This appl-iance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or inst ruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety, children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with appliance.

OPERATION

  • Place your toaster on a flat, dry, stable surface.

  • Plug the toaster in, and adjust it to your required toasting time, using the timing control knob (5)

  • Place bread or other food suitable for toasting into the slot, then press down the start knob (1 ). It will remain down until the bread is toasted.

  • CT-808G is toaster with fixed roasting logo stamp, the logo will be burned on the bread(?)

  • If you wish to stop the toasting process, press the Cancel button ( 4).
    This will automatically eject the toast, and cancel the heating elements.

  • If the bread sticks in the toaster, unplug it, wait for it to cool, then remove the bread. NEVER USE METAL UTENSILS TO REMOVE THE BREAD.

  • After use, wipe away crumbs using a dry cloth.

  • Always allow at least 1 minute’s cooling time between cycles if toaster is being used more than once at a time.

CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS – NOTE THE TOASTER SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE CLEANING.

  • Unplug from the power outlet (mains).
  • To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs. Wipe clean and replace, never operate the toaster without crumb tray in place.
  • DO NOT use coarse or abrasive sponges/cloths or steel wool to clean the toaster.
  • Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the toaster – cleaner should be applied to a soft cloth.
  • The outside of the toaster should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth, and polished with a soft, dry cloth.
  • After cleaning, wait a few minutes for toaster to dry completely before use.
