Installation instructions for Alde AquaClear
Intelligent water purification
WARNING
UV-C is dangerous for eyes and skin. Never look into a powered unit.
CAUTION
The Alde AquaClear UV-C unit signal cable may only be connected to the Alde
Compact 3030 or to the Alde LED panel. (Electrical and signal connection to
Alde Compact 3010/3020 can damage the unit.)
NOTICE
Ordinary handling of an electrical product. The product works in plus degrees
and up to about 50 ° C air temperature, about 40 ° C water temperature. The
product is intended for a water pressure of 2 bar and can withstand peaks up
to 5 bar.
Alde AquaClear UV-C is a robust and compact water purification product for
increased safety of water quality in low pressure applications where water is
replenished externally and stored in a tank, and where the risk of
microbiological growth is thus higher. The disinfection is based on UVC light,
through the latest UVC LED technology, and the product neutralizes about 99%
of microorganisms at water flows (up to 4 liters/min).
The pressure drop over AquClear is up to 0,9 bar, so a fresh water pump with a
pressure of at least 2 bar is recommended.
Note!
The first time you flush the tap after replacing the Alde Water Carbon filter,
black carbon dust may be present in the first liter.
CAUTION
Water-filled unit must not be exposed to sub-zero temperatures. If there is a
risk of temperatures below 0 ° C, the unit must be drained. The product
contains a glass in front of the UVC source and the glass risks cracking if
the water in the unit freezes!
NOTICE
Before cleaning the water system, remove the Alde Water Carbon filter to
prevent the cleaning particles from getting stuck in the filter.

Installation of Alde AquaClear for Alde 3030:
CAUTION
When testing fresh water in the system of new vehicles in the factory, bypass
must be used, alternatively a pipe passage instead of Alde AquaClear, to avoid
water remaining for a long time and Alde Water Carbon filter (carbon filter)
life is shortened.
-
Make sure that the fresh water pump is not on and that water pipes are drained to avoid water leakage in unsuitable places.
-
Assemble the Alde AquaClear UV-C (fig. 1, A) with the Alde Water Carbon filter (fig. 1, B).
Please note that Alde Aqua Clear UV-C should be located before the Alde Water Carbon filter in the flow direction. (See fig. 3) -
Then install the product on the pipe / hose according to the arrow in the direction of water flow, horizontally or vertically. (When placed vertically, the water flow should be able to pump from the bottom up through Alde AquaClear UV-C to avoid air pockets that impair the ability to clean.)
-
Connect the power cable, 12 V DC, white (+) and brown (-) so that the product receives power when the vehicle’s fresh water pump is switched on.
-
The connector with green and yellow wire is connected with the supplied extension cable (fig. 1, F).
The cable is then connected to the Ext. Start switch (fig. 4) and indicates whether the filter is active on the control panel during water flow from the water pump. -
Alde AquaClear UV-C is now ready for use. To activate Alde AquaClear in the control panel, see the next page.
Connection of Alde AquaClear to the control panel for Alde Compact 3030:
-
Select “MENU” from thr panel to get to Settings.
-
Select “System Configuration” by browsing Settings with the page view in the upper right, fig. 5.
-
Press AquaClear and select ‘Installed’ in the check box, fig. 6. A green check mark will now show that AquaClear is selected, fig. 7. Alde AquaClear UV-C is now installed in the control panel.
-
Press “MENU” toget back to Settings. Here, a counter will now be displayed for active time that remains before the UV unit needs to be replaced, see Fig. 8.
-
During active water flow from the fresh water pump, the symbol for Alde AquaClear UV-C will appear on the upper part of the control panel to indicate that Alde AquaClear UV-C is working correctly. (Fig. 9). If the symbol is not visible during active water flow, something may be wrong, contact your dealer or service partner.
A calculator for hours counts down the time when the UV lamp has been active.
Once the UV lamp has served its time, a warning will appear on the screen
(Fig. 10). Then replace the Alde AquaClear and reset the counter by entering
AquaClear UV-C in Settings and pressing “Reset” (fig. 11).
Installation of Alde AquaClear for LED panel:
-
Make sure that the fresh water pump is not on, and that water pipes are drained to avoid water leakage in unsuitable places.
-
Assemble the Alde AquaClear UV-C (fig. 2, A) with the Alde Water Carbon filter (fig. 2, B).
-
The contact with green and yellow wire is connected to Alde LED panel (fig. 2, F).
When the LED panel is lit, it indicates that the filter is active at flow from the water pump.
If the LED panel light does not illuminate during active water flow, something may be wrong, contact your dealer.
