PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Before using the panini grill for the first time, please proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging material and any promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport. Fully read the instruction manual and store it for future reference.
Place the panini grill on a flat, stable surface. Clean the exterior of the panini grill using a slightly damp cloth and then wipe  it with a dry cloth. Clean the plates with a soft sponge and hot water containing a mild washing-up liquid. For the best result,  lightly cover the grill plates with some cooking oil.
Place the panini grill on a stable heat-resistant surface. Fully unwind the cord and insert the plug in the wall socket. When used for the first time, a little smoke could come off the panini grill. This is normal and is caused by burning greases and oils that  were used during the manufacture of the appliance.

GENERAL USE

The panini grill can be used for preparing toasted sandwiches and paninis.
Place the panini grill on a stable heat-resistant surface. Fully unwind the cord and insert the plug in the wall socket.
Allow the appliance to heat up while preparing the food.
Caution: do not touch the metal parts and grill plates, as they get extremely hot.
Open the panini grill and place the food to be prepared on the bottom plate. Close the panini grill and close the locking mechanism.
Remove the food with a wooden or plastic spatula, in order to protect the non- stick coating. Do not use metal or sharp objects.
Warning:  fillings of toasted sandwiches and paninis get very hot. So do be careful, particularly in the case of children.
After use, always remove the plug from the socket.
