General notes
Read the original instructions before using the device for the first time and act in accordance with it. Keep the original instructions for future reference or for future owners.
General safety instructions
DANGER
- Risk of asphyxiation. Keep packaging film out of the reach of children.
WARNING
- Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities and persons lacking experience and knowledge may only use the appliance if they are properly supervised, have been instructed on use of the appliance safely by a person responsible for their safety, and understand the resultant hazards involved.
- Children must not operate the device.
- Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
Note
- Do not operate the device when other persons or animals are in the work area.
Safety instructions

Please observe the requirements of EN 1717 when connecting this product to the drinking water network and contact your sanitation specialists if you have any queries.

Operate the device only with untreated, clean fresh water. The device must not under any circumstances be operated with explosive, corrosive or inflammable substances.

The water temperature must not exceed 35°C.
-
Never fully immerse the device in liquids.
-
Only operate the device outdoors.
-
Regularly check the device for damage. Do not operate the device if you discover visible damage.
-
Do not use the device on surfaces where water is already present.
-
Ensure that the surface to be cleaned is free of sand, stones or loose elements before starting work.
These can be flung away during cleaning or damage the surface and the device. -
Do not pull on the connected hose or mains cable.
-
Only switch the device on when the brushes are on the floor.
-
Be aware of the recoil of the device during operation. The device pushes toward the operator when switched on. Hold the device securely and maintain a solid and safe footing.

Do not lift the device off the floor when switched on.
-
Use only a suitable extension cable labelled as conforming to protection class IPX4.
-
All live parts in the work area must be protected against spray water.
-
The mains plug and coupling of the extension cable must be water tight and must not be placed in water.

Use the device only when connected to a correctly installed fault current protection switch having a trigger current no greater than 30 mA. Consult a qualified electrician if you have any queries.

Protect the device from frost and excessive heat (permitted ambient temperature range of 5°C to 40°C).
-
Do not operate the device in the vicinity of devices that are connected to electrical power.

Check that the mains connection cable with mains plug is undamaged each time before using the device. To avoid any possible danger, a damaged mains connection cable must be immediately replaced by the manufacturer, or the authorised customer service department or a qualified electrician.

Do not damage the power supply and extension cable by running over it, crushing or yanking it or similar. Protect the mains cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.

in the “Device description” chapter.
Intended use
WARNING
Risk of injury from flung particles
Use the device only on pre-cleaned surfaces and observe the safety
instructions.
The device is intended for the removal of soiling from
outdoor surfaces, such as e.g. terraces. The device is
suitable for wooden, stone or composite material (WPC)
surfaces, according to the brushes used.
Foreseeable misuse
Any type of improper use is prohibited.
The operating personnel are liable for damage resulting
from incorrect use.
Do not use the device for cleaning planted areas such
as e.g. lawn checker bricks.
Environmental protection
The packing materials can be recycled. Please dispose of packaging in
accordance with the environmental regulations.
Electrical and electronic appliances contain valuable, recyclable materials
and often components such as batteries, rechargeable batteries or oil, which –
if handled or disposed of incorrectly – can pose a potential threat to human
health and the environment. However, these components are required for the
correct operation of the appliance. Appliances marked by this symbol are not
allowed to be disposed of together with the household rubbish.

Installation
Note
The handle is installed only once. The handle halves may not be separated
again after installation. Take care to ensure that the water hose and the
mains cable are not crushed during installation.

Plug the handle sections together. The pipe latches audibly into place. Illustration B

Press the water hose and then the mains cable into the cable channel from the top to the bottom (starting at the hand grip). Illustration C

Press any protruding cable and water hose firmly into the brush head casing. Illustration D
The mains cable and water hose must not protrude out of the device during operation!
Initial startup
-
Close the water volume regulation valve.

Connect the water hose to the device. The coupling must audibly engage.

Secure the water hose to the hand grip using hook and loop fastener to provide strain relief.

Connect the water hose to the water tap and open the water tap. Please observe the maximum water pressure (see “Technical data”).

Connect the mains cable to a suitable extension cable labelled as conforming to protection class IPX4.
Please be sure to observe the safety instructions.
Operation
Correct handling of the brushes
Note
Use only the brushes suitable for the surface to be cleaned and the device.
Observe the following instructions for correct use of the brushes.

Position the brushes evenly on the surface to be cleaned.

Guide the brushes over the surface with light pressure.
Switching on the device
Note
You must unlock the power switch in order to start the device. The specified
sequence must be adhered to

Press the unlocking button.

Press the power switch.
The device starts up. -
Release the power switch.
The device stops.
Water volume regulation valve
Note
The volume of water emitted by the device through the nozzles can be adjusted
using the water volume regulation valve to suit the cleaning task.
- Pull the valve lever backwards to increase the water volume.
- Push the valve lever forwards to decrease the water volume or close the valve completely.

Cleaning wooden surfaces
Use the brushes for wooden floor coatings for cleaning wooden surfaces.
Note
- Test the device on an inconspicuous area before using on sensitive surfaces.
- Do not allow the device to remain in one area, keep it in motion.
Note
- Always clean wooden surfaces in the direction of the grain. Always clean along the floorboards or wooden elements and down the slope.
Note
Pre-treatments may be removed from pre-treated surfaces. Uneven light-dark
effects result from the type of wood or its treatment. It is a desirable
result to remove the film on weathered wooden surfaces.
- Guide the device slowly over the surface.

For optimum results, apply a suitable care agent or preservative after cleaning!
Cleaning stone surfaces
Use the brush for stone coverings for cleaning stone surfaces in outside areas (not included in the scope of delivery – see the Accessories and spare parts chapter for sources).
Note
Remove any loose elements such as gravel before cleaning.
- Guide the device slowly over the surface.
Storing the device

The device can be stored hanging on a wall hook. You can also alternatively
place the device on the parking edge of the spray guard. Take care to ensure
that the device does not stand on the brushes to prevent damage to the
bristles.
- Disconnect the connections.
- Empty the device (see “Frost protection”).
- Clean the device (see “Cleaning”).

Frost protection
ATTENTION
Danger of frost
Incompletely emptied devices can be destroyed by frost.
Completely empty the device and accessories.
Protect the device from frost.

Store the device in a frost-protected place.
Note
If frost-free storage is not possible: -
Open the water volume regulation valve completely.

Stand the device upright and allow it to drain.

Care and service
Replacing the brushes
DANGER
Danger of electric shock
Injuries due to touching live parts
Switch off the device.
Remove the mains plug.
Note
Always replace both brushes at the same time. The brushes must be replaced
when the gearbox housing touches the ground while cleaning the surface without
exerting pressure on the device.
ATTENTION
Danger of burns
The gearbox can be very hot after use. Allow the device to cool down before replacing the brushes.
- Unscrew and remove the brush fasteners.
- Pull out the worn brushes.
- Fit the new brushes.
- Fit and tighten the brush fasteners.

Cleaning the water filter
Note
If the water flow is inadequate then the water filter of the device must be
cleaned.

- Unscrew the plug connector at the water connection.
- Pull out the water filter.
- Clean the water filter under running water against the direction of flow.
- Insert the water filter.
- Screw on the plug connector.
Ensure that the sealing ring in the plug connector has been inserted correctly.

Improper cleaning
Damage to the device
Do not clean the device with a hose or high-pressure water jet.
Do not use aggressive detergents.
Do not knock the brush on the ground.
- Remove soiling, plant residue and sand/stone from the brush.
- If necessary, remove the brushes and clean them under running water.
- Clean the device with a moist cloth.
Troubleshooting guide
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the
following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not
mentioned here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.
Device does not run or switches off during operation
No voltage supply
- Check the voltage supply (plug connections of the extension cable).
The fault current protection switch has triggered
- Check the in-house fault current protection switch.
Consult a qualified electrician if the fault occurs frequently.
The motor overload switch has triggered
- Allow the device to cool down (at least 10 minutes).
The motor overload switch resets automatically and the device is ready for operation again.
The power switch must not be pressed during the cooling phase to avoid the device starting up unexpectedly. Always wait for the specified cooling time before restarting the device. In case of a repeated shut-down, reduce the pressure on the brushes while cleaning and hold the device at a flatter angle.
Unsatisfactory cleaning results

- Replace the brushes.
Clogged water filter

Clogged water nozzles
- Have the water nozzles replaced by an authorised Customer Service department.
Warranty
The warranty conditions issued by our relevant sales company apply in all
countries. We shall remedy possible malfunctions on your appliance within the
warranty period free of cost, provided that a material or manufacturing defect
is the cause. In a warranty case, please contact your dealer (with the
purchase receipt) or the next authorised customer service site.
