IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE / FIRST USE OF YOUR ICE MAKER

  1. During transportation, the incline angle should not be over 45°. Do not turn the unit upside down. As this may damage the compressor and sealed system.
  2. Remove all packaging material and check your unit to ensure it is in good condition.
  3. The unit should be placed horizontally on a level surface. To ensure proper ventilation, it should be 150 mm away from the wall or the other appliance near it.
  4. Do not install the unit near an oven, radiator, or any other heat source.
  5. Before using the Ice maker for the first time, please wait 2 hours after positioning it, and keep the front lid open for at least 2 hours
  6. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the ice maker corresponds with the voltage in your home.
  7. Pure water is not allowed to be used in this unit; spring water is recommended.
  8. Make sure the silicon stopper is well inserted.

CONTROL PANEL OPERATION

ON/OFF: Press it to turn the unit on or off.
ADD WATER : This light will come on with a long noise ‘DI’ noise. You will need to add water and press the ‘ON/OFF’ button to restart the Ice maker.
ICE FULL : This light will come on with a ‘DI, DI’ noise when the ice has reached the maximum capacity of the storage cabinet. Press the ON/OFF button to restart the Ice maker after some of the ice has been taken away.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with water.
Note: Make sure the water level in the water reservoir is not over the Ice collecting tray.
Step 2: Connect to the power.
Step 3: Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on. The ice maker begins to work.
Note: For the first three cycles, the ice may be small and irregular in size.
Step 4: If indicator ADD WATER is red with ‘DI’ noise, then take out the basket, then add water as per step 1, then press ON/OFF to restart the ice maker.
Step 5: If indicator ICE FULL is in red with ‘DI DI’ noise, please take out the ice with the scoop.
Note: When the ice collecting tray is full please remove the ice immediately, Do not allow the ice collecting tray to overfill.
Step 7: Press the ON/OFF button to stop the machine.
Step 8: If you want to drain the unit. Please move the unit forward, put a tank under the unit, then remove the silicon plug and drain out the water.

CLEANING

  1. Clean the inner liner, ice collecting tray, water box, ice shovel and evaporator frequently. Unplug the unit and remove the ice cubes before cleaning. Use a diluted solution of water and vinegar to clean the inside and the outside surface of the unit. Do not spray the unit with chemicals or diluted agents such as acids, fuel, or oil. Rinse thoroughly before starting.
  2. To ensure the cleanliness of the ice cubes, water in the water tank is suggested to be replaced every 24 hours.
  3. If the compressor stops for any reason, like water shortage, too much Ice, power off, etc… Do not start the system right away, wait 3 minutes, and then re-start.
  4. Always use fresh water before starting ice production either at initial installation or after a long shut-off period.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Cause Suggested Solutions
The compressor works with a big noise The voltage is lower than recommended

Stop the unit and do not restart until the voltage is normal.
ADD WATER indicator lights up| The water in the tank is not enough| Fill water as normal
The water level sensor is not in the right position| Ask for a video from the distributor and adjust the sensor manually
Pump is broken| Call for service
Indicator lights do not light up| No power from the socket| Change a socket and reconnected
The ribbon cable connected to PCB and control panel is loose| Take off the control panel and reconnect the ribbon cable Call for service
The ice is too large and some pieces are sticking together.| The ice of previous cycles left in the water tray| Stop the unit right away, and restart the unit till the ice in the water tray meltdown
The evaporator is too low| Shift the evaporator a little.
The wrong ice size is selected| Please choose the “SMALL” size
The ice-making process is normal except for no ice made.| Refrigerant leakage| Call for service
Compressor is broken
The fan motor is broken
The lights for ICE FULL and ADD WATER come at the same time.| The water tray is blocked by an ice cube| Clear the ice cube under the ice shovel and then restart the unit
The water tray is broken| Call for service to replace the tray
The machine keeps running, but the water is warmer than normal water| The magnetic valve is always open| Press ON/OFF to turn off the unit and press again 2 minutes later to start the unit. Then every 5 minutes do the same process. After 5 times, restart the unit
Water leakage at the front bottom of the unit| The silicon stopper is not well inserted| Please insert the silicon stopper well

WARNINGS
If the power cord is damaged; it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
Fill with potable water only.
It is normal for the compressor and condenser surface to reach temperatures between 70°C and 90°C during operation and surrounding areas may be very hot.
Due to fast freezing, ice cubes may appear “Cloudy”. This is air trapped in the water and will not affect the quality or taste of ice.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Do not immerse in water.
Correct disposal of this product.
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.

2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The Manufacturer hereby provides a warranty to the original purchaser of this product (the consumer) that this product will be free of manufacturing defects in materials and  workmanship which under normal, personal, family or household use (commercial use expressly excluded) manifest themselves within the 2 years from the date of purchase.

EXCLUSIONS

  • The warranty does not include and will not be construed to cover products damaged as a result of disaster, misuse, commercial use, not in accordance within the written instructions included with the product, abuse and/or any non-authorised modification of the product, incorrect installation of the product or normal wear and tear.
  • Insect infestation of the electrical or motor makes the claim invalid.
  • Customer abuse do not fall under warranty.

WAIVER
The warranty and the obligations of the Manufacturer provided herein are in lieu of, and the consumer, waives all other warranties, guarantees, conditions or liabilities, express or implied, arising by law or otherwise, including without limitation, any obligation of the manufacturer in respect of any injury, loss or damage (direct, indirect or consequential) arising out of the use of, or inability to use this product and whether or not occasioned by the manufacturer’s negligence or any act or omission on its part.

PROOF OF PURCHASE
Any claim in terms of the warranty must be supported by a proof of purchase. If such proof is not available, then not withstanding anything to the contrary herein, the service agent’s prevailing charges for services/repairs and/or spares will be payable by the Consumer upon collection of the repaired product. The Consumer should call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa). Customers residing outside South Africa may return the product back to a Pick n Pay store. During the warranty period the product may only be serviced and/or repaired by the Manufacturer’s duly authorised agent(s).

If this product proves to be faulty during normal use due to defective materials or workmanship.

REPAIRS PROCEDURE

Should you experience any faults on your Aim product, please adhere to the following procedure to have the fault rectified speedily and professionally.
You can return the product to the store.
Call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa) to report the fault and make arrangements for the next steps.
Note: Should you live in an outlying area or outside South Africa, it may be necessary to return the product to the store nearest to you.

COST OF REPAIRS
UNDER WARRANTY
Any items still under warranty will be repaired free of charge, as long as it complies with the terms and conditions of the warranty (refer to “warranties” section in this manual). Any items that need to be repaired that are NOT covered in the warranty will be for the consumer’s expense. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be provided to the consumer for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
OUT OF WARRANTY
Any items that need to be repaired once the warranty has expired will be for the consumer’s expense including call out fees. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be provided to the consumer for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
