IMOPORTANT SAFTEY INSTRUCTION

When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be practiced including the following:

  1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
  2. Unplug from outlet before shortening, cutting or installing this product.
  3. Do not use an extension cord to supply power to the strip.
  4. Use indoors only.
  5. For use in damp locations.
  6. Do not stare directly at the light when illuminated.
  7. Always observe polarity for connections, positive (+) to positive and negative (-) to negative.
  8. This product is NOT a toy.
  9. To avoid damage, use only with the power supply provided.
  10. Do not open the product. Use only as intended.
  11. Do not roll up the product when using. Spread out to full length before connecting power supply.
  12. Do not operate if any component is damaged.

This manual contains important safety and operating instructions to power the unit.

BATTERY WARNING:
Risk of fire, explosion, and burns. Do not disassemble, crush, heat above 100° C / 212° F or incinerate. REPLACE ONLY WITH one CR2032 battery. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERY PROMPTLY. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE AND DO NOT DISPOSE OF IN FIRE. When replacing battery, ensure the new battery is installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) as shown on remote.

CAUTION:
Dispose of used battery promptly according to local recycling or waste regulations. Clean battery contacts and also device contacts prior to installing battery. Ensure the battery is installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and —). Remove battery from remote when not being used for an extended period of time. Remove used battery promptly. The LEDs in this strip light are not replaceable.

  • WARNING – KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
  • Swallowing may lead to serious injury or deathin as little as 2 hours, due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the esophagus.
  • If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately seek urgent medical assistance.
  • Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e.g. that the screw or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if compartment is not secure.
  • Dispose of used button battery immediately and safely. Hat battery can still be dangerous.

This product contains a button battery. If swallowed, it could cause severe injury or death in just 2 hours. Seek medical attention immediately.

LIMITED WARRANTY. This product is warrantied to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for up to 1 year from date of purchase. If the product fails within the warranty period, please contact Feit Electric at feitcom/help for help. REPLACEMENT OR REFUND IS YOUR SOLE REMEDY. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IS HEREBY EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED. Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.

Getting Started

WARNING:
These products may represent a possible shock or fire hazard if improperly installed or attached in any way. Products should be installed in accordance with this install guide, current electrical codes and/or the current National Electric Code (NEC).

  1. Prepare the Strip Light

    • Measure the desired length before installation.
    • Clean the mounting area thoroughly (surface must be free of dust, dirt or grease).
    • Avoid bending the strip light which may damage the LEDs.
    • Avoid removing and relaying the Strip Light multiple times as the adhesive may wear off.
  2. Mount the Stip Light

    Unroll strip light and place near mounting location. Ensure power supply and controller can reach the start of the strip light. Do not connect to power yet.

    • Peel adhesive tape from back of Strip Light to position and align strip light on mounting surface.

    • Screw in mounting clips (required for all long term installations). Save two clips to use for installing the power supply (step 3).
      Mount the Stip Light
      This strip light uses permanent tape and may cause surface damage if removed. Not recommended for mounting on brick or concrete.
      Feit Electric is not responsible for damage to mounted surfaces.

    • Ensure the power supply is not plugged in at the wall outlet when mounting or cutting. Cut to length ONLY on the dashed line.

    • Cutting at any other area will permanently damage the strip.
      Mount the Stip Light
      Once cut, the portion of the strip light that will not connect to the controller can be disposed of in accordance with local recycling or waste regulations. Optional – Re-attach your LED strip light using the included connectors.
      Open and  insert steip light ends.
      Open and  insert steip light ends.
      Close the connectore and verify the strip light is
secure.
      Close the connectore and verify the strip light is secure.

    • Connect power supply to wall outlet.
    • Always observe polarity for output connections, positive (+) to positive and negative (-) to negative.

Hardwired Dimmer Installation (Optional)

NOTE: FOR ALL THE STEPS BELOW. IF YOU ARE NOT CERTAIN YOU HAVE THE WIRING DESCRIBED, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR ASSISTANCE.

WARNING:
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, TURN OFF POWER at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring.
