Add your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Amazon Alexa

• You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it.

1. Download the Amazon Alexa app from the App Store or Google Play to your mobile device.
2. Select Connected Platforms from the Schluter App home screen.
3. Next, select the Amazon Alexa icon and click on Connect.
4. You will then be prompted to open from a browser or the Amazon Alexa app. Select the Amazon Alexa app.
5. Accept Alexa’s request for permission to access your device and click on LINK. Alexa will then be connected to your thermostat.
6. Click on ALLOW when asked if you want to grant Amazon Alexa permission to control your ecosystem.
7. Shortly after, the Schluter Smart Thermostat app will confirm the association was a success. Click on FINISH.

How to connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Amazon Alexa

To connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat with Amazon Alexa, you must download the Schluter Smart Thermostat app, create an account, and connect your device.

1. 1. In the Alexa app, tap Devices.
2. 2. Tap the + button in the upper-right corner and select Add Device.
3. Click the thermostat’s tile in the Amazon Alexa app and control its setpoint and also give voice commands to Alexa.

Commands for reporting current thermostat setting:

• “Alexa, is the thermostat on?”
• “Alexa, what mode is my thermostat set to?”

Commands for setting the thermostat:

• “Alexa, set thermostat to ___”

• “Alexa, set the thermostat to automatic”
• “Alexa, turn off the heat”
• “Alexa, resume thermostat schedule”

• You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it.

1. Download the Google Home app from the App Store or the Google Play store, then follow the steps to set up the account and home to control.
2. Select Connected Platforms from the Schluter App home screen.
3. Next, select the Hey Google icon and click on Connect.
4. You will be prompted to open from a browser or the Google Home app. Select the Google Home app.
5. From the Google Home app that opened, click on Continue.
6. Accept Google’s request for permission to access your device. Google will then be connected to your thermostat.

How to connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Google Assistant

• To connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat with Google Assistant, you must download the Schluter Smart Thermostat app, create an account, and connect your device.

1. 1. On your Google home page, tap + in the left corner of the screen, then tap Set up device.
2. Tap Works with Google.
3. In the search field, enter Schluter Thermostat and select it.
4. Follow the on-screen
5. The thermostat device(s) that are connected to the app will be displayed on screen. You will need to select each thermostat, assign them to a home, and then select the room where they are installed.
6. When your thermostat is connected to the app and has been configured in Google Home, you can control it with Google Assistant.

• “ Hey Google, what is [thermostat name] temperature?”

Commands for setting the thermostat:

• “Hey Google, set thermostat to ___”
• “Hey Google, make it warmer (or cooler)”

• “Hey Google, set the thermostat to heating”

Apple HomeKit Integration

• You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it.

1. Download the Apple Home app from the App Store to your mobile device.

2. Open the Apple Home app and tap Add Accessory or on the +, then tap Add Accessory.
   To control this HomeKit-enabled accessory, the latest version of iOS or iPadOS is recommended. Controlling this HomeKit-enabled accessory automatically and away from home requires a HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad set up as a home hub. It is recommended that you update to the latest software and operating system.

3. Refer to the Apple HomeKit pamphlet that is included in the product packaging and scan the Apple HomeKit QR code.

4. Select the Add to Home button.

5. The app will connect to the thermostat to add it to the home; it might take a brief moment.

6. Select the room in which the device is installed, then click on Continue.

7. The installation is completed. Click View in Home to view the device and change its setpoint.

Please note that a hub (iPad or AppleTV) is required to access devices remotely with the Apple Home app.
