Add your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Amazon Alexa

  • You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it.
  1. Download the Amazon Alexa app from the App Store or Google Play to your mobile device.
  2. Select Connected Platforms from the Schluter App home screen.
  3. Next, select the Amazon Alexa icon and click on Connect.
  4. You will then be prompted to open from a browser or the Amazon Alexa app. Select the Amazon Alexa app.
  5. Accept Alexa’s request for permission to access your device and click on LINK. Alexa will then be connected to your thermostat.
  6. Click on ALLOW when asked if you want to grant Amazon Alexa permission to control your ecosystem.

How to connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Amazon Alexa

To connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat with Amazon Alexa, you must download the Schluter Smart Thermostat app, create an account, and connect your device.

  1. 1. In the Alexa app, tap Devices.

Commands for reporting current thermostat setting:

  • “Alexa, is the thermostat on?”
  • “Alexa, what mode is my thermostat set to?”

Commands for setting the thermostat:

  • “Alexa, set thermostat to ___”
  • “Alexa, make it warmer in here”
  • “Alexa, make it cooler in here”
  • “Alexa, set the thermostat to automatic”
  • “Alexa, turn off the heat”
  • “Alexa, resume thermostat schedule”

  • You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it.
  1. Download the Google Home app from the App Store or the Google Play store, then follow the steps to set up the account and home to control.
  2. Select Connected Platforms from the Schluter App home screen.

  4. You will be prompted to open from a browser or the Google Home app. Select the Google Home app.

How to connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Google Assistant

  • To connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat with Google Assistant, you must download the Schluter Smart Thermostat app, create an account, and connect your device.

  2. Tap Works with Google.

  4. Follow the on-screen
  5. The thermostat device(s) that are connected to the app will be displayed on screen. You will need to select each thermostat, assign them to a home, and then select the room where they are installed.

Commands for reporting current thermostat setting:

  • “ Hey Google, what is [thermostat name] temperature?”

Commands for setting the thermostat:

  • “Hey Google, set thermostat to ___”
  • “Hey Google, make it warmer (or cooler)”
  • “Hey Google, lower (or raise the temperature)”
  • “ Hey Google, raise (or lower) the temp to ___ degrees”
  • “Hey Google, set the thermostat to heating”

Apple HomeKit Integration

  • You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it.
  1. Download the Apple Home app from the App Store to your mobile device.

    To control this HomeKit-enabled accessory, the latest version of iOS or iPadOS is recommended. Controlling this HomeKit-enabled accessory automatically and away from home requires a HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad set up as a home hub. It is recommended that you update to the latest software and operating system.

  4. Select the Add to Home button.

  5. The app will connect to the thermostat to add it to the home; it might take a brief moment.

Please note that a hub (iPad or AppleTV) is required to access devices remotely with the Apple Home app.
