• Before installing servicing or performing routine maintenance on this equipment, follow these gereral precautions
• Installation and service of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
• Maintenance of the luminaires should be performed by a person(s) familiar with the construction and operation of the luminaire and any hazards involved. Regular fixture maintenance programs are recommended. will occasionally be necessary to clean the outside of the refractor/lens. Frequency of deaning will depend on ambient dirt level and minimum light output which is acceptable to user. The refractor/lens should be washed in a zolution of warm water and any mild, non-abrasive household detergent, rinsed with clean water and wiped dry Should the optical assembly become dirty on the inside, wipe refractor/lens and dean in above manner, replacing damaged gaskets zs necessary
• DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED PRODUCTS! This luminaire has been properly packed so that no parts should have been damaged during transit. Inspect to confirm.
• Amy’s part damaged or broken during or after assembly should be replaced. Fthe lamp is marked (Hg) it contains Mercury. Follow all disposal laws. See www.lamprecyele.org

WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOcK

• Dizconnect or turn off power before installation or ervicing.
• Verity that supply volitage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire abel information.
• Make all electrical and grounded connection in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicabie locel code requirements.
• All wiring connections should be capped with an approved recognized wire connector.

CAUTION RISK OF INJURY

• Wear gloves and safety gazes at all times when removing luminaire from carton, installing, ervicing or performing maintenance
• Avoid airect eye exposure to the right source while it is.

WARNING RISK OF BURN

• Allow camp/mixture to cool before handing- Do not touch hot iens, lamp, guard, or enclozure.
• Do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on lumineire bel.
• Follow all emp manufacturer’s warmings, recommendations and restrictions on lamp operation including but not limited to: belt type, burning5\ position, replacement, and recycling.
• Use only lamps that comply with ANSI Standards.

CAUTION RISK OF FIRE

• Keep combustible and other materials that can burn way from iemp/lens.
• Do not operate in cioze proximity to persons, combustible materials or substances affected by heat or drying.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Decorative Rings/Disks
Upon receipt, thoroughly inspect for any freight damage which should be brought to the attention of the delivery carrier. Compare the catalog description listed on the packing slip with the label on the carton to ensure you have received the correct merchandise.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

For Your Protection, Read Carefully

Warning: Risk of fire. Do not install insulation within 3 inches of fixture sides or wiring compartment, nor above fixture in such a manner as to entrap heat.

Electric current can cause painful shock or serious injury unless handled properly. For your safety, always remember the following:

• Turn off the supply power.
• Ground the fixture to avoid potential electrical shocks.
• Do not handle an energized fixture or energize any fixture with wet hands, when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Installation DLD or DLR

1. This kit consists of a decorative lens, mounting hardware, thread lock and may include a yoke assembly.
2. If yoke assembly is not included, proceed to step 8. If yoke assembly is included, adjust yoke using scale as shown in Figure 1 to accommodate reflector type as shown in Table 1. Settings are based on ceiling thickness of 7/8”. Adjust settings appropriately for ceiling thickness greater than 7/8”.
3. Remove clips from mounting frame using a flathead screwdriver as shown in Figure 2.
4. Remove bow spring from yoke assembly by pulling the ends of the spring through the slots in the uprights as shown in Figure 3.
5. With the curve of the bow spring facing downward, attach it to the top of the socket cup/light engine by inserting screw located in the top of the socket cup/light engine into the keyhole slot in the spring. Engage screw in slot and tighten it securely as shown in Figure 4.
6. Reinsert ends of bow spring into slots in uprights as shown in Figure 3.
7. Assemble the yoke to the mounting frame by snapping into frame tabs as shown in Figure 5.
8. Apply thread lock material to threaded studs on trim and install decorative studs included in the hardware bag as shown in Figure 6.
9. Pull the socket cup/light engine down into the ceiling opening and attach to the trim, refer to the separate instruction sheet provided with trim for proper installation.
10. Push trim up into opening so flange is tight against the ceiling.
11. Apply thread lock material to threads on each threaded stud and attach the decorative lens to trim using decorative hardware as shown in Figure 7.
12. Clean the decorative element of any fingerprints or debris using a mild, non-abrasive dishwashing detergent in warm water. Dry thoroughly using a lint free, non-abrasive cloth. Final assembly is shown in Figure 8.
