Tips and advice

  1. Do not overfill the bags. Provide enough space on the edge of the bag to create a joint.
  2. Wipe off any water, juice or other liquid from the edge of the bag. A damp or wet edge of the bag may cause the sealing joint not to form or not be strong enough.
  3. Straighten the edge of the bag in the suction chamber and make sure that it is completely clean.
  4. Extracting air from the bag does not replace storage conditions in the refrigerator or freezer. Store vacuumed food in the refrigerator or freezer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. When extracting air from a bag with bulky food, gently press the edge together so that you can more easily insert it into the air extraction chamber.
  6. When extracting air from a bag with food /with items with sharp or pointed ends (e.g. dry spaghetti, jewelery, etc.), wrap the ends with a soft material (e.g. a paper towel) to prevent the bag from tearing. We recommend using containers for such foods / items.
  7. Before vacuuming, we recommend placing the fruit in the freezer for a while and blanching the vegetables to prolong their shelf life.
  8. Always use accessories approved or recommended by the manufacturer.
  9. Always allow hot or warm food to cool completely before air extraction.
  10. Fermented foods are not suitable for vacuum sealing.
