How do I assemble my vacuum?
1. Place the pod onto the floor nozzle post and press down until it clicks into place. 2. Insert the wand into the pod. 3. Insert the handle into the wand. 4. Attach the hose clip to the wand. 5. Connect the hose to the back of the pod. For proper operation, ensure all parts are firmly clicked into place.
How do I use the different cleaning modes?
This Shark® vacuum has two powerful settings for cleaning. To clean bare floors or with accessories: Press the power/surface selector switch to setting (I) Hard Floor. To activate the brushroll, step on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back. Note that the brushroll will spin slower in this mode. Note: Use setting I for easier maneuverability on area rugs. To clean carpets: Press the power/surface selector switch to setting (II) Carpet. To activate the brushroll, step on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back. Note that the brushroll will spin faster in this mode. Note: Move the suction control slider on the handle to MIN to reduce suction when vacuuming carpets. Slide to MAX for more suction on bare floors.
How and when do I adjust the suction?
The suction control slider on the handle allows you to adjust the suction for different floor types. Ensure the power/surface switch is set to the correct floor type before adjusting suction power. MIN: to reduce suction and increase maneuverability on carpets. MAX: to increase suction on hard floors.
How do I turn my vacuum off?
Press the power/surface selector switch to setting (O) Off.
How do I detach the pod for portable cleaning?
To clean stairs, upholstery, and other hard-to-reach above-floor areas in Lift-Away® mode: Select setting I, Hard Floor. Detach the pod from the floor nozzle by pressing the Lift-Away button on the base of the pod. * Gripping the handle of the pod, gently lift the pod up and away from the floor nozzle.
