CHILD SAFETY
RISK OF SUFFOCATION AND ENTRAPMENT
Destroy carton, plastic bags, and any exterior wrapping material immediately after the refrigerator is unpacked. Children should never use these items for play. Cartons  covered with rugs, plastic sheets or stretch wrap may become airtight chambers and can quickly cause suffocation. A discarded appliance represents a dangerous attraction for children and a risk of entrapment. Always remove the door or lid of any equipment that is not used, even if it’s only for a few days.
BEFORE USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR

• Remove the exterior and interior packing.

• Before connecting the unit to the power source, let it stand upright for approximately 24 hours.
  This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.

• Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth.

Installation Instructions

Remove exterior and interior packaging, wipe the outside thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth, and the inside with a wet, lukewarm cloth. Avoid placing the unit in a narrow  recess or near any heat source, direct sunlight, or moisture. Let air circulate freely around the unit. Keep the rear of the refrigerator 2 inches away from the wall..

LOCATION

• Select a place with a strong, level floor.
• Allow 2 inches of space between the back of the refrigerator and any adjacent wall.
• Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating. Heat sources nearby will cause higher electricity consumption.

The refrigerating system in this refrigerator is a “Frost Free” system. This type of system requires no user interven­tion (i.e. defrosting) other than selecting required cooling temperatures and the usual care and maintenance.

To avoid vibration, the unit must be set level. This is accomplished by adjusting the front leveling legs, located under the refrigerator.

The refrigerator temperature will vary depending on the quantity of food stored and the frequency with which the door is opened.

NOTES:

• This appliance is intended for FREE – STANDING INSTALLATION ONLY, and is NOT intended to be built-in.
• Before connecting this appliance to electrical power supply, leave it to stand for approx. 24 hours, which will reduce the possibility of malfunction in the cooling system due to transport handling.
• This appliance is approved for INDOOR USE ONLY and is NOT intended for outdoor operation.

Install this appliance in an area where the ambient temperature is between 55°F (13°C) and 110°F (43°C). If the temperature around the appliance is too low or high, cooling ability may be affected.
LEVELING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
¢ Your refrigerator has two leveling legs that are located in the front bottom corners of your refrigerator.
After properly placing your refrigerator under its final position, you can level your refrigerator.
« Leveling legs can be adjusted by turning them counterclockwise to raise your refrigerator or by turning them clockwise to lower your refrigerator. The refrigerator door will  close easier when the leveling legs are extended.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
This appliance must be grounded. In case of a short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape for the electrical current.
This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
WARNING – Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service man if the grounding instructions are not  completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD
Use an exclusive 115V wall outlet. Do not connect your refrigerator to extension cords or together with any other appliance in the same wall outlet. Do not splice the cord.

Operating Instructions

Your refrigerator will automatically maintain the temperature level you select. The temperature control has 3 settings. COLD is the warmest setting, COLDEST is the coldest setting.

The temperature setting is cycle change among “COLD”,
“COLDER” and “COLDEST”, when you push the “SET” button. At first, set the panel to the “COLDER” indicator marking (middle setting), and allow 24 hours to pass  before adjusting the temperature to your need.
The power will be switched off after pressing “SET” button for 3 second, and the “OFF” indication light will be on. To switch the power on, press the “SET” button for  another 3 seconds.
NOTE: If the refrigerator has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for any period of time, wait 24 hours before plugging the unit in.
The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is in a particularly hot environment, or if the door is constantly opened.
Unplugging the unit stops the cooling in both the refrigeration and freezer sections.

NOTE:

• If the unit is unplugged, you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the unit (plugging the unit back in). If you attempt to restart before 3 to 5 minutes, the  refrigerator will not start.
• If the power goes out, the unit should restart itself when the power comes back on.
• Large amounts of food will lower the cooling efficiency of the appliance.
• Do not place food so that it blocks an air vent, and leave adequate space between food items for air flow in the cabinet.
• Allow several hours for temperature to stabilize between two temperature selections.

FREEZER TEMPERATURE CONTROL

• Your refrigerator has one vent control for regulating the temperature in the freezer compartment . The temperature control is located on the center of the freezer compartment’s interior back panel.
• The first time you turn the unit on, adjust the temperature control knob to “COLDEST” and let the unit run for at least 2 hours before putting food inside. This will ensure that the freezer cabinet is thoroughly chilled before food is put in.
• The FREEZER temperature control ranges from “COLD” (the warmest) to “COLDEST’ (the coldest). Adjust this control to get the desired temperature. The recommended factory setting is COLDER (half way between “COLD” and “COLDEST”).

THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT

• This compartment is designed for the long-term storage of frozen food. Storage time period is up to three months.
• Place frozen food into the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase. If there are instructions on the package, carefully follow these instructions regarding storage times.

Care and Maintenance

COOLING SYSTEM

This refrigerator is inclusive of a “Frost Free” type cooling system, which means you never have to defrost the freezer compartment. The defrost water is routed into a defrost pan located near the compressor, where it then evaporates.

CLEANING

Before cleaning the refrigerator or freezer, always disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply. To clean the inside, use a soft cloth and a solution of a tablespoon baking soda to one quart (4 cups) of water, or a mild soap suds solution or mild detergent. Wash ice cube tray, drip tray, and glide out shelves in a mild detergent solution, then wipe dry with a soft cloth. Clean the outside with a damp soft cloth and some mild detergent or appliance cleaner.

VACATION TIME

For short vacation periods, leave the control knob at the usual setting. During longer absences:

1. remove all food,
2. disconnect from electrical outlet,
3. leave the door open to avoid possible formations of condensation, mold, or odors.

POWER FAILURE

Most power failures are corrected within an hour or two, and will not affect your refrigerator temperatures. However, you should minimize the number times you open the door while the power is off. During power failures of longer dura­tion, take steps to protect your food.

IF YOU MOVE

Remove, or securely fasten down, all loose items inside the refrigerator. To avoid damaging the leveling legs, turn them all the way into the base.

SOME IMPORTANT RULES FOR THE CORRECT USE OF THE REFRIGERATOR

• Never place hot foods in the refrigerator
• Beverages should be stored in sealed containers
• Foods to be stored for a long time should be wrapped in cellophane or polyethylene, or kept in glass containers. Never place spoiled food in the refrigerator.
• Don’t overload the refrigerator.
• Don’t open the door unless necessary.
• Should the refrigerator be stored without use for long periods, it is suggested, after careful cleaning, to leave the door ajar to allow the air to circulate inside the unit in order to avoid the possible formations of condensation, mold, or odors.

FOOD STORAGE SUGGESTIONS
Fresh Food Compartment

• Never cover food compartment shelves with aluminum foil or any other shelf covering material which may prevent air
• Always remove porous store wrapping paper from meats, poultry, and fish. Meats should be wrapped individually and placed in a container for storage. Wrap fish and poultry in foil or heavy wax paper. Most fish should be used the same day of purchase. Packaged meats such as pork, beef, or deli meat, etc. store best in their original packages.
• Allow warm foods to cool to room temperature before placing them in the refrigerator.
• Always cover open dishes of food, especially leftovers. Use leftovers within 2 or 3 days.

VEGETABLE CRISPER
The tray at the bottom of the refrigerator is covered to retain moisture. The crisper compartment will enable you to store vegetables and fruits which would otherwise dry out rapidly.

LED LIGHTING REPALCEMENT
Do not change the LED light by yourself, please contact an authorized service personnel.

Reversing the Door Swing

CAUTION: If you lay your refrigerator on its back or side for any length of time, wait six hours after you stand it up before you plug it in. Otherwise, you may damage internal components.
You will need the following tool to reverse the refrigerator door:

1. Make sure that your refrigerator is unplugged.
2. Remove the screw and the screw hole cover on the top left side of your refrigerator, then remove the screw and hinge cover on the top right side of your refrigerator.
3. Remove the screws that secure the upper hinge to the door, then remove the upper hinge.
4. Remove the freezer compartment door from the refrigerator by lifting it the hinge pin.
5. Remove the hinge pin from the upper hinge, then the hinge over and install the hinge pin on the other side of the upper hinge.
6. Remove the two screws that secure the center hinge to the refrigerator, then remove the center hinge.
7. Remove the refrigerator compartment door.
8. Move the hinge hole sleeve from the top right side of the refrigerator door to the top left side of the door, then move the hinge hole cover from the top left side of the  refrigerator door to the top right side of the door. Set the refrigerator door aside.
9. Remove the screw hole covers from the center left side of the refrigerator and install them in the center right side of the refrigerator.
10. Lay the refrigerator on its back and remove both adjustable feet from the bottom of the refrigerator, then remove the production-use screw. This screw is for production use only and is not needed after reversing the door.
11. Remove the screws that secure the lower hinge to the right side of the refrigerator, then remove the hinge.
12. Remove the screw hole covers from the bottom left side of the refrigerator and install them in the bottom right side of the refrigerator.
13. -1Unscrew and remove bottom hinge pin, turn bracket over, and replace it.
    -2 Install the lower left hinge on the lower left side of the refrigerator.
14. Install the adjustable feet on the bottom of the refrigerator, then set the refrigerator upright.
15. Flip the center hinge, then install the refrigerator compartment door. Install the hinge on the center left side of the refrigerator.
16. Remove the right aid closer and put it in a safe place, then install the left aid closer (found in the accessory bag) on the freezer compartment door.
17. Install the freezer compartment door, then install the upper hinge and the left side upper hinge cover (found in accessory bag) on the top left side of the refrigerator.
18. Install the screw hole cover on the top right side of the refrigerator.

Troubleshooting

Occasionally, a minor problem may arise, and a service call may not be necessary- use this troubleshooting guide for a possible solution.

   • DO NOT place unit close to heat sources or in direct sunlight.
3. Internal temperature too cold.| • Temperature set too cold.| • Check/adjust settings as needed.
4. Internal temperature not cold enough.| • No power to unit.
   • Power cord is unplugged.
   • Wrong voltage is being used.
   • Temperature control too warm.
   • Hot food inserted.
   • Doors open too long/often.
   • Air flow obstruction.
   • Close proximity to heat source or direct sunlight.| • Check connection of power cord at power source.
   • Plug in unit.
   • Use proper voltage.
   • Check/adjust settings as needed.
   • Cool food before inserting.
   • Minimize door openings/duration.
   • Allow room for air to circulate around the unit.
   • DO NOT place unit close to heat sources or in direct sunlight.
5. Freezer not cold enough.| • Temperature control too warm.
   • Door not closed.
   • Hot food inserted.
   • Doors open too long/often.
   • Wrong voltage is being used.| • Check/adjust settings as needed.
   • Close door securely.
   • Cool food before insterting.
   • Minimize door openings/ duration.

6. Light will not work.| • No power to unit.
   • Power cord is unplugged.
   • Bulb is loose/needs replacing.
   • Door switch is stuck.| • Check connection of power cord to power source.
   • Plug in unit.
   • Tighten or replace bulb.
   • Check the switch for obstructions, clean if necessary.

(the “Products” or “Product” when referencing a singular product herein)
This Product (including any accessories included in the original packaging) as supplied and distributed in new condition, is warranted by Element Appliance Company, LLC (“Element”) to the original customer who purchases the Product from an authorized Element retailer (the “Original Customer” or ” cy_LA”) against defects in material and workmanship under proper use, maintenance, and care according to the owner’s manual, warnings, and instructions accompanying the Product (“Warranty”) as follows:
* PLEASE NOTE – Proof of purchase evidencing the date of purchase by the Original Purchaser from an authorized Element retailer (“Valid Proof of Purchase”) is required for all Warranty service. The express Warranty set forth herein is subject to all terms and conditions set forth below.

ONE-YEAR WARRANTY: Except as provided in subpart 1.B below, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the Original Customer (the “Warranty Period”) if the parts or components covered by this Warranty are determined by Element or Element’s authorized service provider to be defective in material or workmanship, Element will, at its sole and absolute discretion and option: (i) repair the defective part or component at no charge to the Original Customer, (ii) replace the defective Product with a new Product of similar or better quality, at no charge to the Original Customer, or (iii) refund the documented purchase price paid by the Original Customer (excluding tax) to the Original Customer upon return of the defective Product as directed by Element. After the Warranty Period expires, the Original Customer must pay for all parts, components, shipping and handling, labor, and replacement costs associated with the Product or any part or component thereof, regardless of any defects in the Product or any part or component thereof.
3. LIMITED EXTENDED WARRANTY THROUGH PRODUCT REGISTRATION: If and only if the Original Customer registers the Product at www.elementelectronics.com within ninety (90) days of the date of purchase by the Original Customer, then the Warranty Period discussed in subpart 1.A. above shall be extended an additional one (1) year to a new Warranty Period equaling two (2) years from the date of purchase by the Original Customer. If the Product is not registered as provided for in this subpart 1.B, then the standard one-year Warranty Period set forth in subpart 1.A shall apply.
4. TIMING AND PROCEDURE: Before Warranty service can commence, the Original Customer must contact either (i) the retailer from whom the Original Customer purchased the Product, or (ii) Element directly, in either case for problem determination and service procedures. Valid Proof of Purchase evidencing that the Product is within the Warranty Period MUST be presented by Original Customer in order to obtain the requested Warranty service. Please have your model and serial number available, along with your date of purchase of the Product. To remain eligible for Warranty service, Original Customer may not return the Product or any part or component thereof to the retailer or Element without Element’s prior written consent.
5. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS TO WARRANTY SERVICE

The Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship of the Product encountered in the normal, non-commercial use of the Product, and does not cover (a) damages or malfunctions resulting from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, abuse, negligence, failure to follow instructions contained in any written materials that accompany the Product, deterioration by reason of excess moisture, corrosive atmosphere, lightning, power surges, connections to improper voltage supply, unauthorized alteration, or other external causes such as extremes in temperature or humidity, modifications, scratches or discoloration; (b) improper or incorrectly performed repairs by service providers not authorized by Element; (c) transportation, shipping, delivery, pickup, insurance, installation, or set­up costs; (d) ordinary wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or damage due to acts of nature, including but not limited to,

water, floods, wind, storm, tornado, earthquake, or fire, or due to damage caused by extraordinary impact events, such as dropping, crushing, demolition or other extraordinary damage; (e) commercial use of the Product, or use of the Product for anything other than single-family household or residential use; or (f) modification of the Product or any part of the Product.

This Warranty is made to the Original Customer only and does not cover Products sold AS IS or WITH ALL FAULTS. The Warranty is invalid if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the Product. This Warranty is valid only in the United States, and only applies to Product if it was purchased and serviced in the United States. The addition of equipment or features to the Product that are not manufactured or recommended by Element could affect the intended function of the Product, and therefore may void the Warranty. Furthermore, the exposure of the Product to chemicals, heat, cold, humidity, or other elements can affect the Product components, and therefore, the Warranty does not cover discoloration, fading, cosmetic changes, rust, or any damages or failure related to any such items. The Warranty is contingent upon the proper use, maintenance, and care of the Product. The Warranty may be void if the Product has been used in a manner contradictory to, or in violation of, the terms of the user’s manual, warnings, or instructions accompanying the Product.

THIS WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF AND SUPERSEDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR GENERAL USE, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, COLLATERAL STATUTORY, OR PROVIDED BY COMMON LAW, THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE, OR OTHERWISE. ELEMENT FURTHER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AFTER THE END OF THE WARRANTY TERM DEFINED ABOVE. NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTY GIVEN BY ANY OTHER PERSON, FIRM, OR ENTITY WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT SHALL BE BINDING ON ELEMENT. REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE, AT ELEMENT’S SOLE DISCRETION, ARE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES OF THE CUSTOMER.

ELEMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE USE, MISUSE, OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT. THESE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, ANY DAMAGES IN THE FORM OF LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, LEGAL FEES, ECONOMIC LOSS, PERSONAL INJURIES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES CAUSED BY CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF ELEMENT. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, ELEMENT’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO ANY CUSTOMER SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL CUSTOMER WHO PURCHASED THE PRODUCT, AND IS NOT TRANSFERRABLE. NO PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO ALTER, EXTEND, OR WAIVE THIS WARRANTY OR ANY OF ITS TERMS OR CONDITIONS.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. The exclusions and limitations to the Warranty apply to the maximum extent permitted by law and unless restricted or prohibited by law. Where any term of this Warranty is prohibited by applicable law, it shall be null and void, but the remainder of this Warranty shall remain in effect.
