WARNING: LUMINAIRE MUST BE INSTALLED AND GROUNDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE
(NEC) AND LOCAL CODES. FOR PORTABLE STAKE OR SUFACE MOUNT USING A CORD AND PLUG, THE LUMINAIRE MUST BE PLUGGED INTO A RECEPTACLE PROTECTED BY A GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER (GFI). FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY
AND / OR DAMAGE TO THE LUMINAIRE.
ALWAYS USE UL RECOGNIZED WIRE CONNECTORS FOR CONNECTIONS.

SAFETY WARNING: LUMINAIRE CAN BECOME VERY HOT DEPENDING ON THE LAMP WATTAGE USED. LENS AND HOUSING AROUND THE LAMP CAN BECOME HOT ENOUGH TO BLISTER HANDS. PARTICULAR CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN NOT TO LOCATE LUMINAIRES WHERE SMALL CHILDREN CAN REACH THEM IF HIGH WATTAGE LAMPS ARE USED.
IN GROUND LUMINAIRE IS ETL LISTED FOR ABOVE GRADE INSTALLATION ONLY.

  1. Please refer to the assembly and mounting instructions located on the back of this sheet to continue installation of this fixture.

Info 56000 BZ: Lamp Type is A 19 incandescent, Maximum Wattage is 75 watts per bulb.

WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, OR INJURY TO PERSONS:

  1. Turn off/unplug and allow to cool before replacing lamp.
  2. Lamps get hot quickly!Contact only switch/plug when turning on.
  3. Do not touch hot lens, guard or enclosure.
  4. Keep lamp away from material that may burn.
  5. Do not operate luminaire fitting with a missing or damaged cover.

lamp installation replacement
  1. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect from the electrical supply before servicing.

  2. Loosen set screw from shade assembly.

  3. Remove shade assembly to expose lamp.

  4. Replace lamp with correct wattage and type marked on fixture label.
CAUTION: DO NOT EXCEED MAXIMUM WATTAGE MARKED ON LUMINAIRE LABEL.

  5. Re-install shade assembly and tighten set screw.

  6. After lamp is installed supply power to the luminaire and check for proper operation.

MAINTENANCE NOTE: TO ASSURE PROPER OPERATION AND EFFICIENCY AND TO PREVENT LUMINAIRE OVERHEATING, LENS MUST BE KEPT CLEAN AND FREE OF DIRT, LEAVES, TRASH, AND MINERAL DEPOSITS FROM WATER. A REGULAR SCHEDULE MAINTENANCES RECOMMENDED.

  1. Make sure electrical supply is off at the circuit breaker before starting luminaire installation or servicing.
Thread luminaire onto junction box or other mounting device until it is at desired direction using thread sealant.

  2. Attach luminaire leads to line in leads observing polarity, black to black, white to white and green to ground using silicone filled safety connectors provided.

  3. Attach junction box cover with luminaire to junction box (by others).
Note: Make sure not to pinch wires that may be sandwiched between cover and box.

  4. Coat exposed luminaire threads with thread sealant to keep moisture from entering junction box or other mounting device.

  5. Please refer to front of this sheet to install lamp.

  • Attach shade assembly (1) by pushing down and turning it clockwise unto the socket holder (2).
  • Locate the securement screw (A) attached to the shade assembly (1). When Step 1 is complete proceed to tighten screw (A) with the correct size hex driver.
  • Now proceed to assemble mounting tube (3) with 12 NPT threaded ends. Push the white, black and green luminaire electrical wires through the mounting tube (3) sliding the tube in a upward direction, when that is complete proceed to thread into the bottom of the socket holder (2) being careful not to cut any of the wires.

I.S. 18 wiring grounding instructions

SAFETY WARNING: READ WIRING AND GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS (IS 18) AND ANY ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS. TURN POWER SUPPLY OFF DURING INSTALLATION. IF NEW WIRING IS REQUIRED, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR CODE REQUIREMENTS

wiring instructions

Indoor Fixtures

  1. Connect positive supply wire (A) (typically black or the smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to positive fixture lead (B) with appropriately sized twist on connector – see Drawings 1 or 2.
  2. Connect negative supply wire (C) (typically white or the ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead (D).
  3. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections

Outdoor Fixtures

  1. Connect positive supply wire (A) (typically black or the smooth unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to positive fixture lead (B) with appropriately sized twist on connector — see Drawings 2 or 3.
  2. Connect negative supply wire (C) (typically white or the ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead (D).
  3. Cover open end of connectors with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal.
    • If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate (backplate) and the wall. This will help prevent water from entering the outlet box. If the wall surface is lap siding, use caulk and a fixture mounting platform specially.
  4. Please refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all electrical connections.

grounding instructions

Flush Mount Fixtures
For positive grounding in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the fixture mounting strap (M) with the ground screw (S) – see Drawing 1.
Note: On straps for screw supported fixtures, first install the two mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground screw.

Chain Hung Fixtures
Loop fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) under the head of the ground screw (S) on fixture mounting strap (M) and connect to the loose end of the fixture ground wire directly to the ground wire of the building system with appropriately sized twist-on connectors – see Drawing 2.

Post-Mount Fixtures
Connect fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post. Cover open end of connector with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal – see Drawing 3.
