General questions about using the vacuum:
How do I assemble my vacuum?
- Push vacuum pod down onto floor nozzle post until it clicks into place.
- Connect the the hose at the bottom of the pod to the floor nozzle. Push with a slight turning motion to create a snug fit.
- Slide handle into the opening at the top of the pod. Spin it while pushing down to ensure it is securely in place.
- Screw the handle in place using the included nut and bolt.
- Insert Extension Wand through the ring on the side of the vacuum pod and into the top of the nozzle hose.
- Insert the hose into the hose connector located on the back of the vacuum pod. It will click into place.
- Route hose down through the anti-tip hook to prevent vacuum from tipping.
- Run hose up over the upper holder.
- Insert hose securely into the top of the extension wand.
For proper operation, ensure all parts are firmly clicked into place
How do I remove the hose to clean?
- To clean with the flexible hose, stand the vacuum upright, and remove the hose from the top of the extension wand. Add a cleaning accessory to the end of the hose.
- For more reach, remove the extension wand from the nozzle hose and attach it to the flexible hose. Attach a cleaning tool to the end of the wand.
- To adjust the amount of suction power, slide the suction control button at the end of the flexible hose.
General questions about maintenance:
How do I clean the filters and how often?
Filters may need to be cleaned if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice lighter or no suction. For optimal performance, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a trash receptacle to remove dust and debris as needed.
Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every 3 months, or as needed.
- First, remove the dust cup to access the pre-motor filters.
- To remove the dust cup, press the release button next to the handle. Tilt the dust cup, and lift to remove.
- Remove the foam and felt filters.
- Rinse both filters with water only.
- Allow filters to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Once dry, replace the felt filter first, followed by the foam filter.
- Reinstall the dust cup by placing the bottom of dust cup into the pod and then tilting until it clicks into place.
Rinse the post-motor HEPA filter every 12 months, or as needed.
- Pull the latch under the HEPA filter cover and lift off the cover.
- Remove the HEPA filter.
- Rinse with water only.
- Allow filter to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Once dry, reinstall the HEPA filter.
- Reattach the HEPA filter cover until it clicks into place.
How do I empty the dust cup and how often?
For optimal performance, empty the dust cup each time you vacuum, or when debris reaches the MAX FILL line.
- To remove the dust cup, press the release button next to the handle. Tilt the dust cup, and lift to remove.
- Hold the dust cup over the trash and press the bottom door release button on the front.
- Tap gently to empty contents.
- Close the dust cup door, pressing it until it clicks into place.
- If needed, turn the dust cup upside down over the trash and press the top door release button.
- Tap gently to remove contents. Clear debris from the cone-shaped screen.
- Wipe the interior of the dust cup clean.
- To reinstall, place bottom of dust cup into the pod and then tilt until it clicks into place.
How do I maintain the brushroll?
Lay the vacuum flat to expose brushroll. Check opening behind the brushroll for clogs. Clear the opening. Clear the brushroll; use scissors to carefully cut away threads, hair or other debris that might be trapped in the bristles.
