What is the maximum dirt capacity for the dust cup container?

How do I assemble the vacuum?
  1. Push vacuum pod down onto floor nozzle post until it clicks into place.
  2. Connect the the hose at the bottom of the pod to the floor nozzle. Push with a slight turning motion to create a snug fit.
  3. Slide handle into the opening at the top of the pod. Spin it while pushing down to ensure it is securely in place.
  4. Screw the handle in place using the included nut and bolt.
  5. Insert Extension Wand through the ring on the side of the vacuum pod and into the top of the nozzle hose. Attach the Hose:
  6. Insert the hose into the hose connector located on the back of the vacuum pod. It will click into place.
  7. Route hose down through the anti-tip hook to prevent vacuum from tipping.
  8. Run hose up over the upper holder.
  9. Insert hose securely into the top of the extension wand. For proper operation, ensure all parts are firmly clicked into place.
How do I use the different cleaning modes?

To clean bare floors or with accessories:

  1. Move the power/surface switch to setting l, Bare Floor.
  2. Tilt the handle back while gently stepping on the floor nozzle. Note that the brushroll will not spin in this mode. To clean carpets:
  3. Move the power/surface switch to position ll, Brushroll On.
  4. Tilt the handle back while gently stepping on the floor nozzle. The brushroll will start spinning, and the brushroll indicator light will illuminate. To reduce suction for increased maneuverability on carpets, slide the suction control button on the end of the hose forward. To increase suction for cleaning bare floors, slide the button back.
How do I clean above floors with or without accessories?

To clean with the flexible hose, stand the vacuum upright, and remove the hose from the top of the extension wand. Add a cleaning accessory to the end of the hose. For more reach, remove the extension wand from the nozzle hose and attach it to the flexible hose. Attach a cleaning tool to the end of the wand. To adjust the amount of suction power, slide the suction control button at the end of the flexible hose.

When and how do I empty the dust cup?

For optimal performance, empty the dust cup each time you vacuum, or when debris reaches the MAX FILL line.

  1. To remove the dust cup, press the release button next to the handle. Tilt the dust cup, and lift to remove.
  2. Hold the dust cup over the trash and press the bottom door release button on the front.
  3. Tap gently to empty contents.
  4. Close the dust cup door, pressing it until it clicks into place.
  5. If needed, turn the dust cup upside down over the trash and press the top door release button.
  6. Tap gently to remove contents. Clear debris from the cone-shaped screen.
  7. Wipe the interior of the dust cup clean.
  8. To reinstall, place bottom of dust cup into the pod and then tilt until it clicks into place.
When and how do I clean the filters?

Filters may need to be cleaned if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice lighter or no suction. For optimal performance, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a trash receptacle to remove dust and debris as needed. Rinse the pre- motor foam and felt filters every 3 months, or as needed.

  1. First, remove the dust cup to access the pre-motor filters.
  2. To remove the dust cup, press the release button next to the handle. Tilt the dust cup, and lift to remove.
  3. Remove the foam and felt filters.
  4. Rinse both filters with water only.
  5. Allow filters to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
  6. Once dry, replace the felt filter first, followed by the foam filter.
  7. Reinstall the dust cup by placing the bottom of dust cup into the pod and then tilting until it clicks into place. Rinse the post-motor HEPA filter every 12 months, or as needed.
  8. Pull the latch under the HEPA filter cover and lift off the cover.
  9. Remove the HEPA filter.
  10. Rinse with water only.
  11. Allow filter to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
  12. Once dry, reinstall the HEPA filter.
  13. Reattach the HEPA filter cover until it clicks into place.
How and when do I adjust the suction?

Slide the suction control button at the end of the hose forward to reduce suction for more maneuverability on carpets. For more suction for cleaning bare floors or using accessories, slide the button back.
