Operation instructions

- After use, switch the appliance off and unplug the AC adapter from the electrical outlet.
2-Speed feature
The appliance has two different speed settings. The speed can be selected via
the on/off switch.
Setting I = low speed
Setting II = high speed
Use low speed for most cutting needs. Use the high speed setting to cut
through heavy coats.
Cutting with the comb attachments
The Professional Pet Clipper can also be operated with the included comb
attachments. Comb attachments extend the cutting length range.
To attach your chosen comb, place it onto the bottom edge of the blade set and
push it over the cutting edge of the bottom blade until it locks into place.
To remove the comb attachment, push it towards the cutting edge of the bottom
blade and remove it from the blade set.
Changing the blade set
- Switch the appliance off.
- Press the release button towards the blade set (Diagram 1).
- While holding down the blade release mechanism, push down on the blade, then gently pull the blade forward, and slide it off the blade hinge (Diagram 2).
- Ensure that the blade hinge is folded out. If this is not the case, you can fold out the blade hinge carefully with a flat screwdriver (Diagram 3).
- Attach the new blade set onto the blade hinge (Diagram 4).
- Switch the clipper on, then push the blade set towards the clipper to lock it into position until it audibly clicks.
Cleaning after each use
Remove any stray hairs or debris from the appliance after each use. Clean the blades and combs by blowing on them or use the included cleaning brush.
Maintenance
Clean your Professional Pet Clipper regularly with a slightly damp, soft
cloth.
After cleaning the blade set, dispense a small drop of lubricating oil of your
choosing on the 5 most important points (Diagram 5) and switch the device on
for a few seconds (approx. 10 seconds) to ensure the oil is evenly
distributed.
How to groom your pet
Dirt and sand caught in your pet’s coat can damage the blades. That is why we
recommend bathing and drying your pet carefully prior to grooming. Untangle
your pet’s coat if necessary.
Acclimate your pet to the clipper sound, by gradually bringing the clipper
closer to them while speaking in a soft, soothing voice, petting and
comforting them.
Start by trimming the face and throat, then run the clipper on the neck and
shoulder area. Move on to the back, rump, sides and belly. Work your way to
the chest, then end with the legs (it is easier to clip the legs when held in
straight position).
Hold the blade safely against your pet’s body, and clip slowly in the
direction of hair growth, making sure to keep the blade parallel to the skin.
Make successive lines, trying as much as possible to finish each line so as to
avoid clipping the same area several times.
Face and throat should be clipped opposite the hair growth pattern.
To clip paws, place the blade at the nail bed, and run the clipper slowly
along each toe, opposite the hair growth pattern. Beware of cutting your pet’s
skin between the toes.
