A. Clean Vacuum Piping System.
Clean piping system with a non-foaming vacuum system cleaner. Midmark
recommends
Precision Clense™, Order No. 77000570.
Note: For the first two weeks of using Precision Clense, flush lines at
the beginning of the day with water and check traps twice a day. After the
first two weeks, flush with water and check traps as needed.
-
Start with the furthest operatory from the vacuum.
-
Suction cleaning solution.
(Follow mixture instructions provided with the vacuum system cleaner.)
Note: Alternate air and vacuum while cleansing; submerge and remove HVE and SE from mixture several times until mixture is consumed. -
Keep the cleansed vacuum lines (HVE and SE) open and move to the next operatory.
-
Repeat steps 1-3 until all vacuum lines are cleansed.
B. Clean Vacuum Inlet Strainer.
Turn vacuum “OFF”. Remove, replace and or clean filter bowl, screen and
gasket. Reassemble. Turn vacuum “ON”.
Annually
A. Clean and or Replace Vacuum Relief Filter.
Pull filter out of end cap. Blow off filter and or replace if damaged. Replace
filter in VRV end cap.
B. Clean Water Inlet Strainer.
Turn vacuum “OFF”. Remove cap on “Y” strainer housing and pull out the wire
intake strainer.
Rinse with water and blow off. Replace strainer and cap. Turn vacuum “ON”.
C. Clean / Dust Vacuum Pump(s).
Wipe with a clean cloth to remove dust and debris.
Equipment Alert
Scavenging polishing paste with abrasives, running the pump with no water
supplied, using water with high mineral content, or water with excessive
sediment can damage or reduce the lifespan of the pump and is not considered a
defect in material or workmanship.
Note – Recycler Models Only
If you have low to no suction due to a clog by residue building up over time,
there is a feature on vacuum to keep it running until a service technician can
troubleshoot the problem. Turn the water by-pass valve to the OPEN position.
This will by-pass the recycler and may keep the pump running.
