INFORMATION TECHNIQUE

General definition

  • Centralized ventilation system by blowing intended to ensure effective renewal of the stale air of the house.
  • This solution is particularly suitable for renovation situations, where the installation of a classic CMV system by extraction is difficult.
  • The PULSIVE VENTIL ROOF 1S is fitted with an additional electric heater (500 W) for automatic preheating fresh air in cold weather.

General operating principle

Positioning of the box
The box is installed in the attic of the house, at a point central easily accessible.

Fresh air intake
Below 25°C, fresh air is drawn from the attic and passes through an oversized filter. The airspeed is then very low: thus the clogging of the filter is minimal. Above 25°C, fresh air is taken from outside and filtered in the sheath.

Insufflation of fresh air
Clean new air is then blown into the living space, thanks to a single mouth of large diameter, placed at a central point of the house (corridor, floor landing, etc.).

Stale air discharge
After sweeping the entire house, the polluted air is evacuated naturally by the natural sealing defects of the building.

Preheating battery
An auxiliary electric heater preheats the fresh air in cold weather.

Free heat supply
The location of the box in the attic makes it possible to recover the preheated fresh air. The attic air is always warmer than outside. Even in winter, the heat input from the sun’s rays can be significant.

Installation Instructions

Installation of filters
Installation of the attic air filterS-P-Pulsive-Roof-1S-Kit-

  1. once the device is fixed in place, Put the filter
  2. Put the filter support rods provided in their accommodation
  3. Secure the filter with velcro on the device
  4. Detail of the filter support housings

Installing the outside air filter
The filter must be placed on the air intake, located between the outside air intake and the PULSIVE VENTIL ROOF 1S. It is recommended that the filter be mounted on GPR ISO type rigid duct with section of Ø150. Provide a minimum of 400 mm in duct length for its location (see drawing).S-P-Pulsive-Roof-1S-

Setting the operating flow

  • The PULSIVE VENTIL ROOF 1S has 4 operating modes: flow rate 1-2-3 or 4 to be adapted according to the type of housing (see Choice of flow regime below)
  • The user chooses an operating mode from among the 4 offered on the device, by pressing the button “FLOW ADJUSTMENT”.
  • The speed selected will be the nominal level of the flow when the ambient temperature is below 19°C.
  • From 19°C the flow will automatically switch to the higher regime (reduction of humidity by dilution).
  • When the ambient temperature is above 25°, the by-pass comes into action and allows air to enter through the intake. outside air.S-P-Pulsive-Roof-1S-Kit-fig-6

Cumulative device operating time

With constant pressure, this button displays the total operating time of the device (see diagram below).

For example:
For an operation of 2305 hours, by pressing the button you will see all the digits scrolled “2 then 3 then 0 then 5 then nothing” spaced by a flashing light after each digit. You have to keep this button pressed until the meter no longer shows anything, releasing it will return to neutral.S-P-Pulsive-

Choice of flow regime:
The user must define the minimum flow rate required for his home according to the table below:

Example of required extracted flow rates expressed in m3/h
Number of main rooms Kitchen

Multiple WC
1| 35| 15| 15| 15| 15
2| 30| 15| 15| 15| 15
3| 45| 30| 15| 15| 15
4| 45| 30| 15| 30| 15
5 and more| 45| 30| 15| 30| 15

Example:

  • For accommodation with 3 main rooms + 1 kitchen + 1 bathroom + 2 toilets, the minimum flow rate required will be (45+30+15+15) 105 m³/h.
  • The table below indicates the nominal speed to be selected.
  • In our example, the user will choose speed 2, i.e. a flow rate of 110 m³/h and will automatically obtain a flow rate of 125 m³/h when the ambient temperature in the attic is above 19°C.

__

Flow regime

| Flow (m³/h)
---|---
Ambient temperature in the attic
< 19°| > 19° and < 25°| > 25° + bypass
Flow 1| 80| 90| 90
Flow 2| 110| 125| 125
Flow 3| 145| 160| 160
Flow 4| 185| 205| 205

Preheating battery
An integrated auxiliary electric heater (500W) preheats the fresh air blown in when needed.

  • If the temperature in the attic (sensor 1) is lower than 10°C, the battery is activated.
  • If the supply air temperature in the living space (probe 2) is higher than 10°C, the coil stops.
  • The battery, self-regulating, will only work intermittently. Its consumption is thus optimized.
  • The fresh air blown into the living space will never be lower than 10°C
  • The electric battery operates automatically.

Bypass
If the temperature in the attic (probe 1) exceeds 25°C, the by-pass triggers and allows air to be blown in outside less hot while maintaining ventilation in the housing.

Insufflation port
Depending on the geometry of the room where the air outlet is installed, it is possible to direct the air flow using the 2 mobile shutters delivered.S-P

fig-10

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws (1 and 2) in order to remove the protective cover from the printed circuit
  2. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws (1, 2, 3 and 4) that hold the printed circuit
  3. Turn over the printed circuit and remove the black jumper (1). The “battery” function is disabled. Reattach the circuit board as well as the protective cover. Reconnect to the electrical network.

INTERVIEW

Warning!
Before any intervention on the PULSIVE VENTIL ROOF 1S, ensure that it is disconnected from the network electricity and that the turbine is completely stopped.

The oversizing of the filter allows maintenance every 5 years on average. Clean the air outlet according to its clogging.
