The kettle is designed only for warming and boiling water for home use.

Under the condition of observance of user regulations and a special-purpose designation, parts of the appliance do not contain unhealthy substances.

Safety Instructions

When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

ATTENTION!

  • Do not allow the ingress of water and moisture on the support and internal electric parts of the device located outside the container for water.
  • Always remove the kettle from the support to fill it with water or to clean it.
  • Do not touch the water in the kettle when it is on the support.
  • Only plug the appliance into an outlet with an earthed (ground) contact.

Failure to observe these rules may result in electric shock!

  • DO NOT let children or untrained persons use the appliance without supervision.
  • DO NOT leave the appliance unnecessarily plugged in. Disconnect the plug from the mains when the appliance is not being used.
  • DO NOT use the power cord or the appliance in order to pull the plug out of the socket.
  • DO NOT leave the appliance exposed to the weather (rain, sun, etc. ).
  • DO NOT leave the appliance without supervision when it is connected to the power supply.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.
  • Always use the appliance on a dry, level surface.
  • Do not put on and take off the kettle from the support when it is switched on. First, turn it off with a switch.
  • Always unplug from the plug socket when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate the appliance if damaged, after the appliance malfunctions or it has been damaged in any manner, return it to an authorized service engineer for repair.
  • In the interest of safety, regular periodic close checks should be carried out on the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs that the cord is damaged in the slightest degree, the entire appliance should be returned be an authorized service engineer.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Allow the unit to cool before storage.
  • Do not touch any hot surfaces, and do not store or cover the appliance until it has fully cooled down.
  • Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners, or oven cleaners when cleaning this appliance.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not leave the kettle switched on if the temperature in the room may fall below zero. When the temperature is below zero, the thermostat of the device may spontaneously turn on and switch on the device.

ATTENTION!

  • The surface of the device becomes very hot during operation.
    Be careful because you may burn yourself greatly by touching the surfaces of the cover, case, or water vapor.

  • Do not open the cover of the kettle during boiling.

  • Do not lift the kettle by its cover.

  • Take and lift the kettle only keeping it for the handle, and touch only the buttons of the device.

  • Do not fill the kettle with a water level higher than the mark «MAX».

  • Place the kettle only on a dry, stable, even, slip-resistant surface.

  • Lift the kettle full of hot water with special care!

In case of failure to observe the above-mentioned rules, there arises the danger of burning!

  • To avoid possible damage by vapor turn the kettle nose away from walls and furniture when it is boiling. Use the support to save the sensitive cover of furniture from damage.
  • Do not place the kettle and its support on heating devices.
  • Do not close the opening for the exit of vapor near the switch.
  • Do not use the kettle without a cover.
  • Do not switch the kettle on without water or when the water level is below the mark «MIN». If the kettle is empty or there is not enough water in it, it is automatically turned off by a safety device. In such case, disconnect the device from the mains, let it cool down and then fill it with water again and turn it on; the kettle will begin to boil water and after the end of this process it will turn off in the regular regime.
  • THIS APPLIANCE IS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN INTENDED USE.

Actions in extreme situations:

  • If a device tumbled into the water, immediately, unplug the device, not touching the device or water.
  • In case of the appearance of the appliance of smoke, sparkling, or strong smell of burn isolation, immediately stop using the device, unplug the device, and appeal to the nearest service center.

Operation

Before the first use:

  • Remove packing and advertising materials and stickers.
  • Inspect the kettle and make sure that there are no damages to the kettle, power line cord, plug and support.
  • Unwind the power line cord completely.
  • Place the support on a dry, even, stable surface.
  • CAUTION! Is required on surfaces where heat may cause a problem – an insulated heat pad is recommended.
  • Connect the plug to the mains.
  • Remove the kettle from the support.
  • Press the button to open the cover, the cover will open.
  • Fill the kettle with cold water up to the mark «MAX». Close the cover (until it clicks).
  • Place the kettle on the support.
  • Turn the switch (C/ Fig.1) to the position «I». The indicator will light signaling that the device has turned on, and the kettle shall begin warming the water.
  • When the water begins to boil, the switch will be turned to the position «О» (off), the light will fade and the kettle will be automatically turned off.
  • You must pour out the first portion of water and repeat the boiling procedure again.
  • Now the kettle is ready for use.

ATTENTION! Do not fill the kettle with cold water until cools down; let it get cool before filling it with cold water.

Further boil water as specified above

  • The level of water in the kettle must be somewhere between the marks «MIN» and «MAX».
  • The process of warming the water can be interrupted at any moment by pressing on the switch.

ATTENTION!
If your kettle switches off before the water begins to boil, you should clean it of scale (see cleaning and maintenance). The kettle can continue operation if its cover is open.

Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning improves the performance of the device. The quantity and the speed of forming the scale, and consequently, the necessity of cleaning depend on the water hardness in your region and the intensity of the device usage. All-over fur of scale in your kettle is not allowed!

It is recommended to clean the kettle at least 2 times a year but however until the appearance of all-over scale.

ATTENTION!

  • Never clean a kettle connected to mains.
  • Before cleaning, disconnect the kettle and let it cool down.
  • Do not use abrasive and aggressive detergents.
  • Never submerge the kettle, its support, power line cord and plug in water or other liquids.

Cleaning the filter (for the models with removable filters)

  • Clean the filter from limescale with a nylon brush under a flow of water. Soak the dirty filter in vinegar or a special liquid for removing the scale before cleaning.

Cleaning the kettle from the scale
Clean the kettle from scale with special agents sold in the open market. Cleaning from the scale can be also performed by the methods described below:

METHOD 1

  • Fill the kettle to maximal level with a mixture consisting of 1 part of the usual vinegar and 2 parts of water. Switch on the kettle and let is boil and automatically switch it off.
  • Let the mixture settle during 10-12 hours and pour it out.
  • Fill the kettle with fresh water up to maximal level and boil it again. Pour out this water too to remove the smell of vinegar.
  • Wash the internal part of the device with clean water, wipe it and dry the kettle.

METHOD 2

  • Fill the kettle with the above-mentioned mixture of water and vinegar and boil it 2 or 3 times running. Rinse it with water and rub it dry.
  • For usual cleaning wipe the kettle case from the inside and outside with a soft wet sponge or cloth. Soapy water can be used.
  • Rinse the kettle and wipe it dry.
  • Let the device get fully dry before using.
  • Any other kinds of maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel in a servicing center.

Storage

  • Switch off the kettle and let it completely cool before storage.
  • Wipe and dry the kettle before storage.
  • Do not wind the power line cord around the kettle until it is completely cooled down.
  • Store the kettle in a cool, dry and clean place beyond the assess of children and people with limited physical and mental abilities.

Environmental protection

Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be recycled. Please arrange for the proper recycling of old appliances. Please dispose of your old appliances using appropriate collection systems.
