DESCRIPTION
For start planting and cutting propagation, the VIVOSUN professional heat mat
maintains sweet-spot temperatures between 68- and 86-degrees Fahrenheit (20
and 30 degrees Celsius); It is made of high-quality PVC and is long-lasting
and wear-resistant. This heat pad’s cutting-edge far-infrared heating
technology gives your plant a warm environment to produce the ideal
circumstances for accelerating germination and growth; When used in
conjunction with a humidity dome, the reinforced heating film and multiple
insulation layers ensure that this tough mat won’t scorch the root and can
generate a lot of energizing dew. This warming mat surpasses even the most
exacting MET criteria because it is made of soft, flexible, and long-lasting
material; Having a waterproof surface with an IP67 rating makes it safe to
scrub;
Note: Do not submerge the product in water and only use it indoors;
Because it comes with a carrying bag in the package, you can easily wrap it up
and store it, making it convenient to transport; There is no mention of an
expiration date for this product. Additionally, to help you save money on
electricity, this warming mat consumes only 20 Watts; When used in conjunction
with the VIVOSUN thermostat, it may be used for home brewing and warming
terrariums in addition to plant sprouting and other indoor horticulture,
meeting your various daily needs. This seeding heat mat softens the heat
source and generates sufficient heat, which can reach temperatures of up to 40
°C (104 °F) at room temperature.

HOW TO OPERATE
- To set a target temperature,
- Press “SET” once to display the current target temp.
- Hold “SET” for 3 seconds to set a new target temp.
- “+” and “–“ adjust the target temp.
- Press “SET” again to confirm
- Hold “+” to show Fahrenheit
- Hold “-“ to show Celsius
HOW TO SET THE TEMPERATURE
If you wish to raise the temperature to 80 F, press and hold the set button for around 5 seconds. To track the temperature, make sure the probe is in the growing media. When it reaches the required temperature, it will switch off and later turn back on to maintain that temperature in the growing media near the probe. Remember that the seedling mat’s temperature will vary and that these warmer areas will cause the growing medium to warm up. I would advise returning it if you are unable to get it configured. In my perspective, Vivosun offers incredibly good customer care that responds quickly and sends a replacement.
FAQs
Does this come with a thermostat?****
Yes, it does.
Does this come with a timer?****
No, it doesn’t.
Can I use this outside?****
No, you can’t. This is only for indoor use.
Is this safe to use?****
Yes, it is safe to use. It has an IP67 waterproof rating and comes with a carrying bag in the package.
Has anyone used this for a leopard gecko’s 20-gallon tank?****
I use mine to heat a 29-gallon aquarium for reptiles. These mats operate at roughly 100 degrees without the thermostat, so get one for it.
Can you run many mats with a splitter on the controller?****
Considering that the 1020 mats only need 20 to 30 watts each, you may. The thing to be on the lookout for is what happens after you purchase mats from different brands. They are not on a par. A few people run hotter than others.
How do you make this mat lay flat?****
To get it to rest flat, I had to place something of roughly the same size on it for a few days. All that is required is a weight of roughly 5 pounds, which might even be a piece of wood.
Would this work as a surface to warm up 2-4 jars of sourdough starter?****
I could not understand why not. The mat and jars might not be in as much contact. However, I believe it would function almost as well.
Can the temperature reading probe be left in the air? I’m trying to maintain a specific temperature in an enclosed container.****
Yes, it can measure ambient temperature, but what really matters for seedling growth is the temperature of the soil. Additionally, I think there is a delay after it reaches the stated temperature before it turns back on. Use rocks or sand to hold onto the heat for longer.
If you wanted to keep the temperature at 75 degrees, could you put this under the hedgehog cage?****
I have watered plants that are on it, so I assume it will work. However, I am just a client like you, so I cannot say for sure.
Where do you place the thermostat probe?****
Place the probe directly over the object you are heating or at the desired temperature level.
Where should I put the mat? Can I set this mat down just on the ground?****
Yes. However, if you want to be extra careful, place a piece of cardboard under it. Would be. Insulation will shield the tent’s fabric and lessen heat loss through the bottom.
What is the energy usage? Although I also see “max 1000w,” someone said 20w.****
100 watts. But with the thermostat, it won’t be on constantly, so anticipate that it will use less energy to heat the house.
M at won’t let up on the heat? I have the heater light set to 29, but it’s not on and it’s getting to 55.****
Your temperature gauge, which is the wire with a metal end and is often placed between the top of the mat and whatever you are placing on it, must contact the mat in order to be controlled. Make sure the gauge reaches the bottom before inserting it.
