RICE LAKE 350-10-3 Dual Ramp Wheelchair Scale

Safety First

Never leave a patient unattended
Set the wheelchair brakes once the patient is on the scale
Orient the scale for easiest entry and exit to ensure ramps are clearly accessible
Only use ramps for entry and exit, do not enter or exit the scale over non- ramp sides

Set Up for Accuracy

The scale must be on a flat surface
Ramps must not touch anything, including the floor, after loading
Avoid factors that affect accuracy, such as fans, extra moisture or other issues
Keep the scale clean of debris
Tare wheelchair weight by placing the empty wheelchair on the scale and pushing the Tare button
Gross weight should read 0.00 before the patient is weighed on the scale
Remove accessories such as blankets, coats and handbags before weighing

Operator Best Practices

Never overload the scale past maximum capacity
Make sure the scale has ample battery strength or use an AC adaptor
Select LB/KG for desired unit of measure
Avoid placing the scale on carpets or uneven surfaces
