DPBC DALI Push Button Coupler
GETTING STARTED
OVERVIEW
The DALI Push Button Coupler (DPBC) enables any standarpush button or switch of a preferred brand, shape, size, or color to be integrated into the Encelium X Lighting Control System. Powered directly from DALI, the DPBC connects up to 4 push buttons and is easily installed in any standard flush-type junction boxes. PRODUCT SAFETY
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
Do not mount near gas or electric heaters or let powersupply cords touch hot
surfaces.
Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not
readily be subjected to tampering by unauthorized personnel.
The use of accessory equipment is not recommendedby Encelium as it may cause
an unsafe condition.
All DALI channels are internally connected together to the control unit. Make
sure to consider this when installing.
Do not use this equipment for other than the intended use.

WIRED SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Encelium X enables you to control DALI devices. With any Encelium wired design, you get a reliable, lighting control system that can be installed quickly and easily.

Note: Matching European style face plates are available upon request. Please ask your Encelium Representative for details.
STEP 1
MAKE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The DPBC comes with eight core cables. For easy connection to the screw or plug-in terminals of switches and push buttons, ferrules are connected to the cable ends. The DPBC has 4 input channels for potential free contacts and is powered by the DALI wires. The voltage is based on DALI Standard 62386 and the current consumption from the DALI line is 6 mA.
FEATURES
The DPBC features a SELECT Button and LED Indicator. The SELECT Button enables you to identify a device and reset to factory default settings. The LED Indicator has 4 states (see the DPBC Indicator details below).

FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS
Press and hold the SELECT button for approximately 10 seconds. The LED
Indicator will blink for 2 seconds and the DPBC is reset to factory default
settings.
Notes: This will delete the DALI short address and require the device to
be re-commissioned. This needs to be done before securing the faceplate onto
the switch.
