ENCELIUM DALI Switch SO
OVERVIEW
The DALI Switch SO provides the capability to switch non-dimming loads within a DALI based Encelium X Lighting Control System. Once connected to an Encelium X System, the connected loads can participate in all aspects of the systems capabilities: Manual (push button) control, Time Scheduling, Occupancy Control etc. For more information on product specifications and design tools visit encelium.com.

WIRED SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Encelium X enables you to control DALI devices. With any Encelium wired design, you get a reliable, lighting control system that can be installed quickly and easily
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
- STEP 1: DIN RAIL MOUNT
The DALI Switch SO snaps onto a 35 mm (1.4 inches) DIN Rail within an electrical panel.
- STEP 2A: MAKE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The DALI Switch SO is powered the PS 30 24V power supply and connected to luminaires and devices that have a maximum of 230 V, 6A loads. The switching commands are received by the DALI Switch SO as telegrams via the DALI line from the Wired Manager — DALI. The default settings of DALI Switch SO has 3 independent DALI switches. A configuration with one common switch function for all 3 outputs can be set. The DALI Switch SO switching function uses DALI Standard IEC 62386-208.
-
STEP 2B: INSERT WIRING
DALI must be laid out as per supplied system layout drawing. If changes are required, determine an optimum wiring path utilizing the cables, based on the position of the devices.- DALI is a low-cost communication means to report information back to the Encelium X Lighting Control Systems. The DALI wiring can originate at the Wired Manager — DALI and propagates in either a daisy-chain or star form. Insert the connectors to the DALI Switch SO DALI terminals. Install up to 20 DALI Switch SOs per DALI line.
- Connect your power supply (can be PS 30) to the +24 VDC and -24 VDC terminals.
RELEASE FROM DIN RAIL
To release the DALI Switch SO from the DIN Rail, insert a screw driver into the release tab and pull the DALI Switch SO forward.
RELEASE WIRES
To remove the wires, use a flat head screwdriver to release the wires from the
terminal blocks.
Notes: Recommended relay switching capacity of 230 VAC, 6 A maximum.
FEATURES
The DALI Switch SO features a SELECT Button, MANUAL Button, 3 Relay Switch Buttons (K1, K2, and K3 are connected to luminaires), and LED Indicators.
FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS
Press and hold the SELECT button for approximately 10 seconds. The LED
Indicator will blink for 4 seconds and the DALI Switch SO is reset to the
factory default settings.
Note: This will delete the DALI short address and require the device to
be re-commissioned.
