CAUTION
- Use proper lifting technique and get the help of another adult to lift the Canister Filter when attaching it to the Dust Collector. Failure to do so could result in serious injury.
NOTICE
- For easiest installation of the Canister Filter, first mount the Dust Right 1250 CFM Wall-Mount Dust Collector at its final location, following the instructions that came with the dust collector.
- When mounting the Dust Collector, the top set of Lag Screws must be located at least 65″ from the floor to provide needed clearance for the Large Canister Filter.
- This Canister Filter is designed for use ONLY with the Dust Right 1250 CFM Wall-Mount Dust Collector.
Assembly
- If the foam tape that came with your Dust Right 1250 CFM Wall-Mount Dust Collector has become damaged or has come off the outlet port of the motor assembly, wrap the 1mm x 30mm x 161⁄2″ Foam Tape around the bottom of the outlet port, making sure the bottom edge of the tape is against the outlet flange. Trim any excess.
- Bring the two pieces of the Attachment Collar (A and B) together around the Foam Tape on the dust collector’s outlet port and connect them with the 1/4″ x 1/2″ Flange Bolts. Use the Open Wrench to tighten.
- Place the Gasket over the opening on top of the Canister Filter, taking care to align the screw holes.
- With the help of another adult and with the machine turned off, lift the Canister Filter to the dust collector outlet port. Make sure to position the Canister Filter so it won’t protrude too far and so the post for the Handle is oriented correctly. (You must be able to move the Handle partway around the Canister Filter once the Handle is installed.) Align the holes in the Gasket and in the Canister Filter top with the holes in the Attachment Collar and attach with the 5/16″ x 1/2″ Flange Bolts. Use the Open Wrench to tighten.
- Slide the Handle onto the post projecting from the top of the Canister Filter, lining up the hole for the 5/16″ x 3/4″ Set Screw with the flat area on the post. Thread the Set Screw into the Handle and thread the 5/16″ Nut loosely onto the Set Screw. Use the Hex Wrench to tighten the Set Screw; then use the Open Wrench to tighten the nut. (The Handle is used to spin a three-paddle mechanism inside that dislodges built-up dust from the pleated filter.)
- Apply the 3mm x 20mm x 493⁄4″ Foam Tape in the channel around the bottom of the Canister Filter. Trim any excess.
- Fit the Plastic Bag over the bottom of the Canister Filter, making sure the edge extends at least to the top of the 3mm x 20mm x 493⁄4″ Foam Tape. Install the Clamp and secure it tightly around the Plastic Bag.
