The ELAN® EL-4KHDBT-RX-40-18G HDMI 2.0 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 (18Gbps) HDCP 2.2 HDBaseT ARC Receiver offers market leading features and outstanding value utilizing CSC technology. The product extends HDMI, bi-directional IR & RS-232 and is powered by the matrix up to lengths of 70m (4K 40m). The receiver features ARC support when used with compatible ELAN control system hardware and simultaneous analog stereo and Optical Toslink audio breakout.

Panel Description

  1. Power Status Indicator
  2. HDMI Signal Link Indicator
  3. Power over Cable (PoC) Switch (On/Off) – To enable/disable PoC being sent from or received by the receiver
  4. ARC Mode Selection Switch – Alters PoC mode when used with compatible ARC enabled Matrix products such as EL4KPM-V88-A268-18G
  5. Optical Audio Input – Toslink audio input. Connects to the optical output of the local display device for Audio Return Channel with compatible matrix
  6. RS-232 Port Mode Selection Switch – Firmware upgrade mode or normal operating mode
  7. HDBaseT Input
  8. RS-232 3-pin Phoenix Connector
  9. IR IN (to ELAN 5V 3.5mm IR receiver)
  10. IR OUT (to ELAN 5V 3.5mm IR emitter)
  11. HDMI Output – connect to HDMI on display
  12. Optical Toslink audio output – Connects to local AV amplifier and allows local HDMI audio breakout
  13. Analog Audio Left / Right Output – 3.5mm stereo jack de-embedded audio from HDMI input. Supports stereo 2ch PCM audio only
  14. 12V/1A DC Power Input Screw Type Connector

Understanding the EL-4KHDBT-RX-40-18G HDBaseT status lights

ELAN HDBaseT extender solutions include status LED indicators on both the Matrix/Transmitter and Receiver products to show all connections are active and to help diagnose possible problems
Understanding the Status Lights
Receiver :

  • HDMI signal link light will be off when there is no connection with a display/sink
  • HDMI signal link light will be on when there is an active connection with a display/sink
  • HDBaseT green light will be lit if there is a stable connection between the Transmitter/Matrix and Receiver
  • HDBaseT orange light will be lit when the receiver is powered by Transmitter/Matrix

Transmitter/Matrix:

  • HDMI signal link light will be off when there is no connection with a source device
  • HDMI signal link light will be on when there is an active connection with a source device
  • HDBaseT green light will be lit when transmitting signal with HDCP
  • HDBaseT green light will blink when transmitting signal with no HDCP
  • HDBaseT orange light will be lit if there is a stable connection between the
