WARNING

  • Flying objects can cause injury to the eyes, head and other parts of the body. Air-powered equipment and power tools are capable of propelling items (metal chips, fasteners and particulates) at high speed into the air and could result in injury. Always wear approved head and eye protection. Never point the nail gun at any part of your body, or at another person or animal. When operating an air compressor make sure all other people and animals maintain a safe distance. Do not exceed the maximum air pressure of 115 PSI for the nail gun. Never repair the nail gun when pressurized. Regulate the PSI (air pressure) at the air compressor. Never load nails into the nail gun when pressurized.
  • Air compressor surfaces become hot during operation. DO NOT touch hot surfaces, because they can cause severe burns. Do not touch the air compressor’s cylinder head. During operation, the cooling fins of the cylinder head and delivery pipe become hot.Allow the air compressor to cool before touching it. DO NOT place a storage cover on the unit during operation. Only place a cover on the air compressor after it has thoroughly cooled down.

WARNING

  • Exercise caution when using pressurized air. To prevent injury and for your general safety, only use high-pressure hoses, fitings and couplings designed for use with air compressors. Inspect all hoses, fittings and couplings for leaks and wear. When leaks and wear are detected, stop use and replace those items immediately. Do not repair. Never leave pressurized air in the air tank when performing maintenance. Never leave the air compressor unattended with the power supply in use and the air hose connected.
  • Improper care could lead to the air tank bursting or exploding. Drain the air tank daily or after each use to prevent moisture buildup in the air tank. Rust can weaken the air tank and cause leaks or bursts. If rust is detected, replace the tank immediately. Do not try to repair the air tank by welding, drilling or moditying it in any other way. These modifications can weaken the air tank and cause a hazardous conditions. If air tank develops a leak, replace the air tank immediately. Never repair, weld or make modifications to the air tank or its attachments. Never make adjustments to the factory-set pressures. Never exceed the manufacturer’s maximum-allowable pressure rating attachments. Because of extreme heat, do not use plastic pipe or lead-tin solder joints for a discharge line.

Check with a quaiified electrician or serviceman when the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or when in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded. WARNING

  • Use caution to minimize risk of fire or explosion. It is normal for the air compressor motor and pressure switch to produce sparks while operating. If sparks come in contact with vapors from gasoline or solvents, they may ignite and cause a fire or explosion. Abrasive tools such as grinders, drills and other tools are capable of making sparks that can ignite flammable materials. Always operate the air compressor a safe distance away from flammable items. Use in well-ventilated areas. Never exceed the maximum rated pressure.

CAUTION
Use caution when using extension cords Use an extension cord which is no more than 25′ (7.6 m) long and at least 14 gauge. Using an excessively long or thin-wired extension cord will cause severe damage to the motor. Use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug. As undersized cord results in a drop in the line voltage and loss of power and overheating. When in doubt use a heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge the more cument the cord can carry

when using the nail gun, a few sarety precautbons must be Dserved to avoid injuries and damage. Please read the complele operating manual with care. Keep this manual in a safe place so that the information is availlable at al umes. you give the equipment to any other person, hand over these operating instructions as well. We cannot accept any liability for damage or accidents which anise due to a tailure to folow these instructions and the safety information. This equipment is designed tor driving finishing nails into wood and similar materials. Never use any other nails Never use on hard surfaces such as stone, metal, etc. The equipment may only be used for the tasks it is designed to handle. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The userioperator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injunes of any kind caused as a result of this. Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the equipment is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

DANGER

Moving parts can cause severe trauma. Keep hands and feet away from rotating parts, tie tie up long hair, remove jewelry, and DO NOT wear loose clothing.

Daily Operation

  • Each time before starting work, check that the trigger catch functions perfectly and that all screws and nuts are securely fastened.
  • Never tamper with the nailer.
  • Never dismantile or block any parts of the nailer such as, e.g. a trigger catch.
  • Never carry out any “emergency repairs” with unsuitable means.
  • Proper nailer maintenance is required at regular intervals in accordance with the information supplied by the manufacturer.
  • Take precautions to prevent anything which would weaken or damage the equipment, e.g. from
    • striking or engraving,
    • modifications which are prohibited by the manufacturer,
    • guiding on templates made of hard material, e.g. steel,
    • Pushing across the floor, using as a hammer.

Check the trigger catch (B1/ltem 8) each time before use. The trigger catch must move freely without catching. The spring on the trigger catch must retum the trigger catch to the released initial position. Never use the equipment if the trigger catch is not working.

  1. Disconnect the equipment from the air supply
  2. Remove the nails from the magazine (B1/tem 5).
  3. Check that the trigger and the trigger catch can move up and down freely.
  4. Connect the equipment to the air supply.line.
  5. Press the trigger catch against the workpiece without pressing the trigger. The equipment should not operate. Never use the equipment if it operates without the trigger being pressed. Risk of injury.
  6. Remove the equipment from the workpiece. The trigger catch must retum to the released initial position. Press the trigger. The equipment shouid not operate. Never use the equipment ft operates. Risk of injury.
  7. Press the trigger and press the trigger catch against the workpiece. The equipment operates
  8. Press the trigger catch against the workpiece and press the trigger, the equipment operates.

Loading Nails

When you fill the magazine (B1/ltem 5),make sure that you hold the equipment in such a way that the muzzle is pointed away from you or anyone else. To fill the magazine, press the magazine lever (B1/ Item 3) and slide back the magazine cover (B1/ ltem 4) as far as it will go. Insert the nails as shown in (B3) and (B4) Do not insert more than one complete stick of nails, otherwise the magazine will be overfilled and you will not be able to close it again. Slide the magazine cover forward again until it snaps into place. The level indicator (B5 / Item 6) shows the number of loaded nails

Loading Nails

Important:
If a nail becomes jammed in the feed shaft, always immediately depressurize the equipment first (remove the compressed air supply hose), open the cover plates (B9 Item 9/10) by pulling the Lever of the cover plate (B8-9/ Pos. 7). Remove the jammed nails, clean the shaft if necessary, and close again in reverse order.

Adjusting Depth

The nail gun has a depth setting adjuster (B1/ Item 12) in the form of a knurled screw. If you screw it downwards, the nails will be shot in deeper fyou want to reduce the depth that the nails are shot in, you have to screw the knurled screw upwards

Important: To prevent triggering unintentionally, the depth setting must never be pulled back by hand in normal Operation

Electrical Power Requirements for Air Compressor

DANGER

  • There is a danger of electric shock
  • Use only undamaged electrical cords.
  • DO NOT touch bare wires or receptacles
  • DO NOT operate air compressor in wet weather or in wet conditions.
  • DO NOT touch air compressor or cords if hands or feet are wet
  • Ensure that all cords are free of damage before connecting to the power supply
  • Ensure that you have a suffidlent electrical supply for suppordng the requirements of the motor.
  • Improper installation of the grounding plug is able to result in a risk of electric shock. When repair or replacement of the cord or pluUg Is required, do not connect the grounding wire to elther flat terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is\ the grounding wire.
  • This product must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short drcuit, grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
  • This product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with an appropriate grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with the local codes and ordi nances.
  • This product is for use on a nominal 120-V circuit and has a grounding plug similar to the plug illustrated in sketch A.
  • Only connect the product to an outlet having the same conhguration as the plug.
  • Do not use an adapterwith this product.

Before using the air compressor, refer to the serial label for voltage and amperage requirements. Make sure you have a sufficient electrical supply for supporting the motor’s requirements Use a dedicated circuit for the best results. Low voltage and/or an overload circuit can cause the motor’s overload protection system circuit breaker to trip.

MAINTENANCE

Important:
Disconnect the equipment from the compressed air system each time before starting to carry out maintenance and cleaning. Compliance with the maintenance instructions given here will ensure that this quality product has a long service life and oTers railure-iree operauon. Before starting work each time, check that the magazine is securely fastened (B1/tem 5). Clean the equipment thoroughly immediately after you have finished the work. To ensure that your nail gun operates properly, it requires regular lubrication. Use the supplied oil (B1/ Item 14 ) for this purpose. There are two possible means of lubrication:

  1. By mist oiler A complete conditioning unit contains a mist oil and is fitted to the air compressor.
  2. By hand Apply to the compressed air connection each time before the air tool is started up. If the air tool is not used for several days, apply 5-10 drops of oil to the compressed air connection before swtching on. Store your air tool in a dry room only.

Cleaning

Important: Disconnect the equipment from the compressed air system each time before starting to carry out maintenance and cleaning work. Keep the trigger catch (B1/tem 8) free of dirt and dust as far a possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it down with compressed air at low pressure. We recommend that you dlean the equipment immediately after you use it Clean the equipment regularly with a damp cloth and some soft Soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these may be aggressive to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the equipment.
