Mounting

Desktop Mounting
CueServer 3 Flex comes with small rubberized feet for secure placement on a desktop, rack shelf, or tray.

Panel Mounting
CueServer 3 Flex can be panel mounted using the included side flanges. Attach the flanges with the provided screws to mount securely on a panel surface.

DIN Rail Mounting
Secure CueServer 3 Flex horizontally onto standard DIN Rail using the included spring-loaded clips attached with screws. DIN
Rail must be provided separately.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Powering: Use LAN A/B for primary power via PoE or PoE+. Alternatively, use the DC Power Input with 12-24V DC if not using PoE.
  2. Audio: Connect standard 1/8 audio cables to Audio Input/Output for timecode input or sound effects/music output.
  3. Memory Card: Utilize the included MicroSD Memory Card for storage and operation.
  4. Expansion Slots: Populate the Smart Module Expansion Slots with available Smart Modules as needed.
  5. Touchscreen Display: Use the color graphic touchscreen for system monitoring, control, and settings adjustment.

CueServers are powerful lighting control and show playback processors designed to be completely self‑contained and extremely cost-effective. Available in a series of models, these powerhouse controllers provide limitless solutions to the lighting professional.

Mounting
CueServer 3 Flex can be mounted in a variety of ways. See the corresponding images to the right

  • Desktop Mounting
    • CueServer 3 Flex comes with small rubberized feet that allow it to be securely placed on a desktop, rack shelf, or tray.
  • Panel Mounting
    • CueServer 3 Flex can be securely panel mounted by using the included side flanges. To attach the flanges to
    • CueServer 3 Flex, use the provided screws. The flanges include various holes that can be used with screws, zip-ties, etc. to mount CueServer 3 Flex to a panel surface.
  • DIN Rail Mounting
    • CueServer 3 Flex can be secured horizontally onto standard DIN Rail by using the included spring-loaded clips.
    • Use the included screws to attach the clips to the bottom of CueServer 3 Flex.
    • Please note that DIN Rail is not included and must be provided by the customer.

Safety Instructions

  • Power/Status LED
    • Illuminates solid Blue when powered by DC Input, Green by PoE, and Cyan by PoE+. Various flashing patterns and colors during startup, log messages, errors, or firmware updates. See User’s
    • Manual for more information.
  • Touchscreen Display
    • Color graphic touchscreen for system status, monitoring, control, and operational settings.
  • DC Power Input
    • Only used if not powered by PoE. The nominal input voltage is 24V DC.
  • Reset Button
    • Can be used to return to factory defaults. See the User’s Manual for more information.
  • USB-C
    • At this time USB-C is only used by the factory.
  • Audio Input/Output
    • Connect standard 1/8” audio cables to Audio Input and/or Audio
    • Output for providing LTC Timecode input, or to receive sound effects and music output.
  • MicroSD Memory Card
    • Show programming data is stored on this card. CueServer 3 Flex comes with a card already inserted in this slot. Cards can be moved between CueServer processors when the power is off.
  • MicroSD Busy LED
    • Illuminates Red when the card is in use.
  • Ethernet (and PoE)
    • 10/100/1000MB Ethernet network connects to these jacks. The device is normally powered by PoE or PoE+ on the LAN A jack. The device can be configured to combine LAN A and LANB into a single network or to use them as two separate LANs. Ethernet is required during programming and for network-based control protocols.
    • Ethernet may be disconnected after programming if not needed.
  • Auxiliary DC Output
    • May be used to power external accessories, such as Button Stations.
    • When powered via PoE, the output voltage is 24VDC. When powered via DC Input, the output voltage is the same as the input voltage.
  • Terminal Block Ports (E-H) (if equipped)
    • Individually configurable as DMX Input, DMX Output, 5-Wire Station Bus, or RS-485. Only available on the CS-3480 model.
  • Grounding Screw
    • Attach protective Earth Ground to this screw.
  • Smart Module Expansion Slots (A-D)
    • Available for system expansion by installing any of the available Smart Modules (SM-xxx). See individual Smart Module documentation for specifications and wiring diagrams.
