Safety instructions

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: To reduce the risk of electric shock:

Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
Do not place appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
Never use while sleeping or fall asleep while using the unit.
Never use this product while in bed.
Do not touch the unit base with your hand when using, due to hot surface of the base.

To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:

An appliance should NEVER be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts or attachments.
Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or persons with motor disabilities.
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return it to Service Center for examination and repair.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not block the air openings of the appliance, or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep air openings free of lint, hair, dust, etc.
Do not drop or insert any object into any opening.
Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause ﬁre, electrical shock or injury to persons.
Do not carry this appliance by the supply cord or use the cord as a handle.
Do not use outdoors. This appliance is designed for household use only.
The facial Sauna must be connected to 230- 240V electrical supply.
This product must not be used in bathroom.
Do not insert any object, or material, into Facial Sauna.
This unit is not a toy. Children should not use it alone or play with it.
Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
Always unplug the unit when not in use and when cleaning or moving the unit.
Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the switch or removing the plug.
Do not cover the steamer with any type of material while it is in operation.
Do not use if you have sensitive skin areas or poor circulation. Use by unattended children or persons with motor disabilities may be dangerous.
Never use this product directly on swollen or inﬂamed areas or skin eruptions.
Unplug this appliance before ﬁlling. Fill reservoir with water only. Add no other ﬂuids such as essential oils or aromatic oils. Do not overﬁll.
Use facial sauna only on a level surface.

WARNING! Do not add oils or other additives!

Never hold this facial steamer close to your face while in one static position for extended periods of time, as scalding may occur.
If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before using this product.
Do not use this product as a substitute for medical attention
Do no place in or drop into water or other liquid. Store in a dry place.
The Facial Sauna does not shut off automatically – not even when all the water is damped.
Do not use while bathing or showering. Medical Precautions
Consult your dermatologist if you have any questions regarding use of Facial Sauna.
Do not use on any part of the body that is anesthetized.
Do not use the appliance if you have a heart condition, severe rosacea, eczema or psoriasis.
Only specialists are allowed to do reparations. Improperly reparations can cause considerable danger!
There is always risk of injury when using electrical appliances improperly!
To prevent unintentional misuse, keep the appliance stored away in a safe place.

Instructions for use

Thank you for purchasing the Carmen Perfect Steam. Please read these instructions carefully before using the product and keep them in a safe place for future reference.

Operating Instructions

1. Fill the provided measuring cup to the level indicator. (Step 1) Pour the water into the evaporation bowl. (Step 2) Note: If the evaporation bowl runs out of water, turn the unit off immediately, reﬁll evaporation bowl as instructed in steps 1 and 2.
Choose the desired mask (facial steamer or Mask for nose and mouth) and place on the unit as illustrated in ﬁgure. (Step 3)
Plug into a household outlet. Push switch to ON (I) position. (Step 4)
Gently place your face as close to the rim of the mask as possible. If you feel any discomfort or excessive heat, move your face away from the facial mask to a comfortable distance. (Step 5)
LED indicates the power On and Off. As PTC heater is used for extra safety, always switch off for water reﬁll and after ﬁnish the use.

Close your eyes and relax. Facial Sauna can be used as a vaporizer and Mask for nose and mouth for therapeutic relief of congested nasal passages. DO NOT substitute Facial Sauna for medical treatment/purposes. Consult a physician for medical treatment of any respiratory ailments. DO NOT use the Facial Sauna for longer than 20 minutes.

WARNING

All mineral residue must be removed completely after each use. Use of the Facial Sauna. Without proper cleaning could result in uncontrollable steam production. Lime residues must be removed by commercial decaling agents, suitable for stainless steel, according to the manufacturers instructions. The facial mask may be Cleaned in dishwater. It is not dishwaterproof.

Cleaning and maintenance

TO STORE
Place Facial Sauna in a convenient, dry location, out of children’s reach. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit. Do not hang the unit by the power cord. Coil the cord loosely and secure with a twist tie.
TO CLEAN
Always unplug your Facial Sauna from the electrical outlet and let cool before cleaning.

Empty excess water and wipe dry the interior of the facial mask and rim.
Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth, then polish it lightly with a dry one.
Never immerse the Facial Sauna.
Do not immerse the base in any liquid to clean.
Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline kerosene, glass/ furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
Do not attempt to repair Facial Sauna. There are no user serviceable parts.

ENVIRONMENT AND WASTE

In accordance with the European Directive 2012/19/EUon Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), this device is marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin indicating that this product cannot be disposed of as household waste. The device must be brought to the appropriate waste collection point for treatment, removal, and recycling of WEEE (information can be obtained at the town hall of your domicile) or brought back to a dealer based on the principle of “1 for 1 free of charge” (the dealer’s takeback does not create a right to a payment or rebate). The consumer or user contributes to the preservation of the natural resources and to the protection of human health by respecting the environment in this manner.

WARRANTY

This CARMEN device comes with a two (2)-year warranty to be counted from the date of purchase under normal conditions of use. This warranty does not cover damage directly or indirectly caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised use, accidents, unauthorised repairs or modiﬁcations, as well as a lack of maintenance. Please save your receipt/invoice as proof of your purchase. This device’s accessories are not covered by a warranty. Exclusions from the warranty

Modiﬁcations, dismantling or integration with another device or an assembly making the device ﬁxed or semi-ﬁxed,
Normal wear and tear of the parts,
Degradation due to improper use,
Failure to comply with the user manual or with the maintenance and safety instructions,
Damage resulting from poor maintenance or a lack of maintenance,
Damage caused by external factors (lightening…),
Abnormal use of the device,
Improper storage,
Shocks,
Deformation of the tank,
The device having been submerged,
Expired warranty.
