PACIFIC HOISTS CT-1.5T 2.5 Ton Load Skate

Use Instructions

The moving skate is a tool for heavy transportation. Please read the instructions before using it. It is particularly important for the safe and smooth completion of the handling tasks and prolonging the service life of the handling tool.

  1. Due to the uneven road surface and some unforeseen reasons, not all the wheels of each skate may be involved in the work during the work, so it is recommended that you put enough excess force when using the skates. CRA type is generally used at 50% of the nominal capacity.

  2. The road surface is uneven, which greatly affects the service life of ordinary skates, and will cause the break down of the skates or damage of the wheels.
When working on rough and uneven roads, we have special skates suitable for rough and uneven roads.

  3. When using a skate, it should be moved at a low speed. If fast moving, it is too late to deal with possible dangerous situations (such as the situation where the skates slides out), which may cause danger to the heavy objects and personnel.

  4. When the load is much lower than the rated load of the skate, the steering performance of the skate is good. If in the case of a heavy load, the steering performance of the skate decreases. The degree of load is not easy to quantify, as long as the operator feels the steering effort.
It is necessary to pay attention not to force steering. Forced steering under heavy load may cause PU rubber wear on PU wheels or damage to wheels and bearings. Under heavy loads, lifting tools such as claw jacks can be used to lift heavy objects and then steer the skate.

  5. The skate is not suitable for transportation on the road with a steep slope. If the skate is on a road with a steep slope, the skate should be firmly connected to the heavy object, and the mechanical traction device or fixed traction should be used to prevent the heavy object from being out of control. Dangerous situations may occur in the backward movement that may result from loss of traction.

  6. The combined handling of single or two skates may cause instability of heavy objects. Unstable handling is very dangerous. More than 3 skates should be used in combination. Generally, 4 skates are commonly used as a group. When several skates are jointly transported, the weight is evenly distributed on each skates to avoid uneven forces between the transports. The specific tonnage specification and quantity of the skates are based on the load weight to be transported.

  7. The center of gravity of heavy objects that are too high or too narrow is unstable. When using the skate, pay attention to anticipating the consequences of possible overturning, and take corresponding and reliable measures for preventive protection.

  8. When using a skate, it is necessary to remove obstacles such as gravel and iron filings on the road.

  9. When several skates work together, it is particularly important to maintain the directional coordination of each wheel. Uncoordinated wheel movement will cause heavy objects to travel difficult or not to move, and it is easy to damage the wheels. Please pay special attention! When transporting by four skates, if each skate is equipped with a turntable, then four handles can be used to control the direction, but it is difficult to coordinate. You can also use the handles of the following two skates (the steel pipe with an inner hole of about 20 mm) The steel rods are not allowed to steer for the two rear units, and only use the tie rods on the front two units to draw and control the direction. If the tie rods are only used for the front and do not fix the steering of the rear two units, it may cause the rear two units to turn in random directions. You can also make the rear two steering, the front two fixed without steering. There is a small hole in the middle of the skate to insert a steel rod of about 16.5 mm into the hole of the equipment to prevent the skate from leaving the heavy object. Remove the turntable and the skate does not turn. The steering principle refers to the steering of the wheel of a wheeled car.

  10. When several skates are used together, the height should be checked, and the consistency of the height should be ensured. If the height is inconsistent, you can add rubber pads and other items with a high coefficient of friction to compensate for the leveling. Do not add items that are easy to slip.

  11. Regularly inspect the wheels of the skate. The bearing should be replaced when it is found that the handling wheel has inflexible rotation or the bearing clearance and the noise is large. When the wheel is damaged, it should be replaced in time. It is very important to ensure that all wheels work normally. Failure of a small number of wheels to participate in the work will reduce the service life of the whole skate.

  12. PU wheels are easily damaged by sharp objects such as iron cutting and gravel. The oil on the road surface will cause the friction between the skate and the road surface to decrease and it can slide quickly.

  13. The skate can be replaced with nylon wheels or steel wheels according to the application. The PU wheel cannot damage the ground, the steel wheel is not easy to be damaged, and it is labor-saving, and the nylon wheel is somewhere in between.

  14. Uneven roads, forced steering, insufficient capacity, uncoordinated directions between the skates are the main causes of damage to the skates.
