DISASSEMBLE LOCK BEFORE INSTALLATION
The lock is pre-assembled upon arrival. Before installation, loosen the
wood screws and mounting screws to separate the lock into four main parts
PREPARE THE DOOR AND MEASURE DIMENSIONS
N If drilling a new door, use the provided template, mark the locations for
the centers of the backset and the latch hole. Refer to user manual online for
complete door drilling instruction.
A Make sure that the hole in the door
is either 2- 1 /8” (54 mm).| B Make sure that the backset is either 2- 3 /8”
(60 mm) or 2- 3 /4” (70 mm).| C Make sure that the hole in the door edge is
1” (25 mm).| DMake sure that the door is between1-3/8” (35 m) or 2” (51 mm)
thick.

ADJUST THE BACKSET IF NEEDED
A Hold the latch in front of the door hole, with the latch face ush against the door edge.| B If the square hole in the latch is centered in the door hole, no adjustment is required. If the square hole is OT entered, adjust latch. See “Latch Adjustment” (step 3C)| C Latch Adjustment (only if needed): Hold the front of the latch and the front art from both sides, twist nd pull or push to extend or retract the latch end as needed.
INSTALLING THE LATCH & STRIKE
This section details installation steps needed if you are installing the
TL117WM on a door with a single cutout already made. Replacing an older xture
with a newer one is known as a retrot. If your door has never had a lock or
doorknob installed or otherwise has no cutout, please go to N1.
RETROFIT
R1 If The door edge is chiseled.| R2 Check the UP icon on the latch and
insert the latch into the hole. The latch’s
plate should sit ush against the edge
of the door.| R3 Use the two wood screws and a
screwdriver to secure them.| R4 Position the strike and box strike . Use
two wood screws and use a screwdriver
to secure them.
NEW DOOR
N1 If the new door edge is not chiseled.| N2 Insert the latch into the hole.
Using a
pencil, mark a line around edge of latch
plate to use as a guide.| N3 Chisel about 3mm (0.1”) deep or until
latch plate sits ush with door edge.
Skip to step R2 to nish installation.| N4 If the new door edge is chiseled.
R2 Check the UP icon on the latch and insert the latch into the hole. The latch’s plate should sit ush against the dge of he door.| R4 Position the strike and box strike Use two wood crews and use a screwdriver to secure them.| R4 Position the strike and box strike . INSTALL EXTERIOR KEYPAD
A The bolt must beEXTENDED prior to nstallation. Use a screwdriver to tend the bolt.| B Turn the latch pin vertically and remove the key from the key hole. Gently feed the power able under the latch and hread the latch pin through the square hole in latch. The latch pin must be vertical while inserting the square hole in the latch.| C Gently thread the power cable through the square hole of the plate. Then se the 2x mounting screws to fasten the plate to the back of the door. Make sure all screws are ightened.
6.INSTALL INTERIOR ASSEMBLY

A Gently insert the power cable connector into the connector of the inside section to snap them ogether. And collect the onnected power cable into he slot of inside section| B Remove the battery compartment cover on the inside section and turn the inside thumb turn vertically with the arrow mark pointing up before nstalling. Then it the inside section over the plate and use three inside screws fasten it to the back of the door| C Add the 4x AA batteries into battery compartment. hen slide he cover down over it.
We recommened to set up Wi-Fi Bridge prior to changing or adding any passcode, because it requires TL117WM to reset to factory setting before connecting.
CHANGING THE ADMIN PASSCODE MUST BE 6 DIGITS
N For security, it is highly recommended that you change the admin passcode
from the manufacturer default. To unlock the TL117WM, use the keypad to enter
the passcode,
then press ‘ ****’. The TL117WM will engage and unlock the door.
A Press the ‘ ’ on the keypad. Enter he default ‘123456’) or the
current dmin passcode, hen press ‘ ’.| B Enter ‘1’ then press | C
Enter the new admin passcode (ex. 567890 hen press ‘ ’. After the voice
confrmation (“Success”), he new admin passcode is saved.| D Test the new
admin passcode to confrm the odifcation was successful.
PASSCODE DISGUISE
This function is an added security feature which is aimed at preventing
password theft. With Passcode Disguise, you may enter 12 digits into the
keypad. As long as the orrect assword sequence is entered, regardless of
how many digits were entered before or afterwards, the TL117WM will unlock.
For example, if your user password is 567890“, you can successfully unlock
the TL117WM by entering “11354567890”, “110567890”, “15678901” and so on
ADDING KEYPAD PASSCODES MUST BE 4 TO 6 DIGITS
n You can create up to 9 keypad passcodes in Step C, so long as the keypad
is still backlit. If the keypad backlight turns off, you must go back to step
A to create a new keypad passcode.

and enter the current admin

(ex. 1234), and then ress ‘ ’.
Afterthe voice onfrmation
(“Success”), thenew passcode is saved.| D Test the new passcode(s) to
confrmthe modifcation was uccessful.
DELETE PASSCODE
n Anyone with the keypad passcode can unlock the TL117WM until the keypad
passcode is deleted. Keypad Passcodes will not be logged by the Turbolock Plus
app’s Unlock Records.
SINGLE PASSWORD
A Press ‘ ’ on the keypad, and enter the urrent admin passcode. Then
press ‘ ’ again.| B Enter ‘3’ then press ‘ ’.| C Before the keypad
backlight turns off, enter the keypad passcode ou wish to elete (ex.1234),
then press ‘ ’ .| D After the voice conrmation (“Success”),
the new passcode is saved. Test the old passcode(s) to confrm he modi
fcation was successful.
ALL PASSWORDS
A Press ‘ ’ on the keypad, and enter
the current admin passcode. Then
press ‘ ’ again.| A Press ‘ ’ on the keypad, and enter
the current admin passcode. Then
press ‘ ’ again.| C After the voice confrmation (“All user
passcodes successfully deleted”), the
keypad will turn off. All passcodes are
now deleted.| D Test all previous keypad passcodes.
They should now be unusable,
except admin passoword.
THE MUTE FUNCTION
ACTIVATE
Remember to turn off the function when it is no longer needed. Do not leave
this function on for extended periods of time. Mute mode will disable all
notion cations, excluding the low-battery warning.
A Press ‘ ’ on the keypad, and enter the current admin asscode. Then press ‘ ’ again.| B Enter ‘6’ then press ‘ ****’. After the voice onfrmation, the TL117WM will be muted.
DEACTIVATE
A Press ‘ ’ on the keypad, and enter the current admin passcode. Then press ‘ ’ again.| B Enter ‘6’ then press ‘ ****’. After the voice confrmation, the TL117WM will be unmuted.
SET UP WIFI BRIDGE TO SMARTLOCK
Turbolock Plus:
- Download and install Turbolock Plus app.
- To get the best Bluetooth signal, it’s recommended that you place the Wi-Fi Bridge and Turbolock within a distance of 30 ft / 10 m.
- If the power indicator is not ashing, press and hold the power button for ~6s to enter pairing mode.
- Only compatible with 2.4 GHz networks
A Plug in the Wi-Fi Bridge. The power indicator will be ashing blue and purple
and ready to pair with urbolock Plus app.| B Tap Add New Lock and choose Wi-
Fi Bridge from the ist. Enter your Wi-Fi ID and Password to nish the set up.
C Tap the Wi-Fi Bridge icon from the Lock List.| D Tap the Add Sub Device icon
to pairwith the TL117WM.
E After the TL117WM is sucessfully added,
the Lock indicator will ash green and beep.
Exit t he window by tapping the X”. RepeatA toD If it fails| F Go back to
the Lock List page and TL117WM icon ill pear and ready for use.

RESETTING THE LOCK
- Resets cannot be reversed.
- Performing a reset will delete all passwords including the admin passcode.
- Once all passwords are erased, only the default admin passcode can open the lock.
- After a reset, Admin passcode will return to its default ‘123456’.
- Refer to user manual for Changing the Admin Passcode.
OPTION 1
A Press ‘ ’ on the keypad, and enter the current admin asscode. Then press ‘ ’ again.| B Press ‘5’ followed by ‘ ****’ . After the voice onrmation (“Success”) and the keypad fash three times, the lock will e reset.
OPTION 2
A Remove the cover from the battery compartment at the back of he lock.| B Press and hold the reset button for ~5 seconds. After the oice confrmation (“Success”) and the keypad fash three times, the lock will e reset.
TROUBLESHOOTING WIFI BRIDGE

• Check if Wi-Fi Bridge is connected to the Wi-Fi router.
• Reset TL117WM to factory setting, and try to connect again.

Flashing Red and Purple| • Reset TL117WM to factory setting, and try to
connect again.
• Check the Lock List page in Turboluck Plus app to see if Wi-Fi Bridge has
already been paired.
• Place the Wi-Fi Bridge, Router, and the smartlock in close range.
Replace smartlock batteries| • Please allow 30-60 second for TL117WM to be
back online after
replacing the batteries.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
- The lock shall only be used as described in this manual.
- Verify that all parts of the lock are accounted for. If any part is missing, contact customer service.
- If the battery compartment or surrounding parts are damaged, do not use the lock.
- Use only four AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries from diferent brands.
- Never insert objects into the lock other than batteries as described in this manual.
- The lock is not a toy. Do not leave children unsupervised around the lock.
- Use only the parts included in the original packaging or received from TurboLock.
- Verify all surfaces are at and level before beginning installation. Installation on doors or surfaces with any type of deformity such as gaps or warping may cause the lock to malfunction or fail to operate entirely.
- Expected use is for standard doors made for buildings within the US.
- New batteries on average can deliver up to one full year of use before replacement is needed. Battery life varies by usage.
- Replace the batteries after receiving the lock’s low battery notifcation.
- Never apply any cleaner directly to any part of the lock. Only use clean (or purifed) water and mild cleaner on a soft, non-abrasive cloth when cleaning.
- Potential Shock Warning: Do not allow water and/or liquids to get into the lock’s electric parts.
- Never submerge the lock or any of the lock’s components.
- Hanging objects on the lock is not recommended.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution(s) |

Why can’t I open the door? | Your access has been restricted. | If you received |
a key from the lock’s admin, your access may have a restricted schedule. Check
with your admin regarding these details.
Why does the lock jam? / The door doesn’t close.| The latch size is wrong.|
Disassemble the lock and check the latch assembly. If retrofitting, compare
the latch length and adjust as needed. If installed on a new door, adjust the
latch and/or, drill into the door to fit the latch as needed.
The strike plate and latch aren’t correctly aligned.| Open the door and check
the alignment of both the latch and the strike plate. Adjust as needed.
The lock doesn’t work.| The lock isn’t receiving power.| Ensure the batteries
are properly installed. Remove and reinstall if needed.
The batteries are entirely dead and/or were not replaced in a timely manner.|
Replace the batteries.
Use one of the physical keys to lock and unlock. Replace the batteries.
Use the emergency power port to power the lock so that the door opens. Replace
the batteries.
I entered the password wrong (at least Sx).| If a passcode has been entered
wrong Sx in a row, regardless of the entry method, the lock will go into a
5-minute security lockdown. This is a feature designed to prevent unwanted
parties from attempting to guess passcodes.| Wait 5 min. and try again, or use
the physical key to open the lock directly.
The physical key can be used to override the security lockout.
Why is the lock beeping multiple times?| Low battery warning| New batteries
should be installed as soon as possible after receiving the first low-battery
warning (three sets of triple beeps).
I forgot my codes.| The codes were not properly recorded.| Perform a reset in
order to erase all passwords. In order to perform a reset, you must have
access to the back of the door. Once a reset is performed, record the
passwords in a secure location.
