Required Tools
(Not included)
- 6 mm Allen wrench
- Phillips screwdriver
- 36 mm wrench or an adjustable wrench
- 5 mm Allen wrench
- 10 mm crown wrench
- Two (2) 15 mm socket wrenches
WARNING
CAUTION:
To avoid potential shock or another injury, turn the power switch OFF and
disconnect the charger before conducting any assembly or maintenance
procedures. Failure to follow these steps in the correct order may cause
irreparable damage.
Installation Steps

Step 1
Using a 6 mm Allen wrench, remove the four (4) bolts from the handlebar clamps and set the handlebar aside. -
Step 2
Remove the plug on top of the headset lock nut. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two (2) screws from the headlamp holder. -
Step 3
Using a 36 mm wrench or an adjustable wrench, loosen and remove the headset lock nut from the top of the fork. -
Step 4
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove two (2) screws from the limiter cover and remove the cover. -
Step 5
Using a 5 mm Allen wrench and a 10 mm crown wrench, insert the crown wrench inside the fork tube to hold the lock nut. With the 5 mm Allen wrench, loosen and remove the limiter bolt. -
Step 6
Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, loosen and remove the two (2) hex bolts that hold the upper fork crown onto the fork and remove it. Slide the front fork down and out the frame. If replacing the headset bearings, just remove and replace them. No need to remove the front wheel. -
Step 7
Using two (2) 15 mm socket wrenches, loosen the lock nuts from the front axle and slide the wheel down. -
Step 8
Reverse the steps.
ATTENTION: Charge the battery 12 hours before using.
