Category Cooking possible Results
Red meat Rare The middle of rare red meat is red, surrounded by a pink

circle, with a brown crust on the outside.
Medium rare| The middle of the meat is no longer red, but pinkish. With this cooking, the meat retains its flavour, just like when it is rare, but it is less juicy and less tender, due to the evaporation of moisture.

PRACTICAL TIPS

  • Note that cooking times may vary and depend on the foods, quantities, cooking preferences, etc.
  • Do not cut food directly on the cooking plates.
  • Never put dishes, plates, etc. on the cooking surfaces.
  • Meat, fish, etc. cut into small pieces will cook more quickly and better than large pieces.
  • Do not prick the meat with a fork or cut it while it is cooking. This would make the juices escape making the meat tough.
  • After cooking fish or seafood, wipe the cooled plate with lemon juice to prevent the taste spreading to the next dish.
  • If you are cooking fish: to obtain good results, dry it, season it and brush it with oil before grilling.

Maintenance and cleaning

  • After use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely in the open position before cleaning the appliance and the cooking plates.
  • Never immerse the power cord, plug, or body of the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not use abrasive detergent or scouring sponges for cleaning to avoid damaging the coating.
  • For best results, we recommend that you place the cooking plates in the dishwasher after having previously cleaned the food residues remaining on the plates with absorbent paper.
  • You can also leave the plates soaking in hot water with the addition of washing-up liquid. Then clean both cooking plates using a soft sponge (non-abrasive), warm water and washing-up liquid. Rinse with clean water and thoroughly dry using a soft cloth.
  • Wipe down the outer surfaces of the appliance with a soft sponge dampened with water and washing-up liquid. Rinse with clear water then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • Take care to ensure that water does not enter the appliance through the ventilation holes.
  • You can wipe the power cord if necessary with a soft, dry cloth.
