InfiRay CD35 NV Digital Night Vision Scope

Mounting On The Day Device
  • Please make sure that the day device is zeroed before installation.
  • Select an appropriate adapter with an insert of the required diameter depending on the outer diameter of the objective lens of the day device.
  • The figures 40 mm, 50 mm in adapter’s model name correspond to the optical diameter of the lens of your day device.
  • Measure the outer diameter of the housing of the lens of your day device and select an appropriate insert.
  • Install the insert (11) into the adapter (10) all the way in.
  • Install firmly the adapter with the insert onto the objective lens (12) of your day device.
  • Snap the lever (13) from the original OPEN position to the CLOSE position. Check that the adapter firmly fits the objective lens.

  • If you see there is a clearance, please:
    • Loosen the locking screw (14) with Q1l the hex-nut wrench (S=2mm).
    • Tighten the screw (15) with hex-nut wrench (S=4mm) with a clamping force necessary to ensure that the adapter fits tightly the objective lens.
    • Tighten the locking screw (14).
  • Rotate the Clip into the adapter to the appropriate position and tighten the bayonet ring (8) counterclockwise to lock the Clip.

Note:

  1. It is recommended that you decrease the objective lens of your day device and the inner side of the insert before installing the cover adapter.
  2. Do not move the observed target and position of the day device during installation to facilitate alignment of the optical axis of the Clip.

Battery Installation

The installation of CR123 batteries

  • Open the battery compartment cover (6) anticlockwise according to the prompt identification on the cover.
  • Install the two CR123 batteries correctly according to the marking on the battery cover and inside it.
  • When done, replace the battery cover (6) – the latches from both sides of the cover will pull out (see the drawing above), then press it until its clicking position – make sure the cover is closed on both sides correctly.
  • Battery level is displayed on the status bar.
  • When the battery icon turns red, please replace the new battery in time.
  • It is necessary to power off before replacing the batteries.

The installation of 16650 batteries

  • When using the 16650 batteries, the IEB-2 Extra Battery cover (10) is needed to replace the original battery cover (6).
  • Remove the battery compartment cover (6) and install the two 16650 batteries correctly according to the marking on the battery cover and inside it.
  • Place the IEB-2 Extra Battery cover (10) on the battery compartment and press it until its clicking position.
  • After installation, install the original battery cover (6) on the IEB-2 Extra Battery cover (10) as shown below.
  • Press down the elastic blocks on both sides at the same time to remove the IEB-2 Extra Battery cover (11).

Getting Started

  • Open the lens cover (1).

  • Press and hold the Power (3) button for 2s to start the device. Wait for 7s and you may capture what is shown on the screen via the day scope.

  • Rotate the lens focus ring (2) of Clip CD35 to focus on the object being observed.

  • UI Calibration. When the Clip CD35 is installed on the day scope, if the UI icon falls out of or deviates from the center of the vision of the day scope, press and hold down the Power (3) + Camera (5) buttons for 2s to  enter the UI calibration interface in which the movement direction and button operation prompt will appear.
    Move the UI to the center of the vision of the day scope accordingly to the prompts. After calibration, press and hold down the Power (3) + Camera (5) buttons for 2s to save and exit to the home screen.

  • Image Settings. Press the Menu (4) button to enter the menu interface to set the image mode and screen brightness to produce an optimal visual effect. Press and hold Menu (4) button to exit.

  • Optical Axis Calibration.

    • Before installing Clip, aim the center of the reticle on the day device at a target and keep the position of the day device fixed during installation.
    • After installation, if the target position on the image is not the center of the reticle, the optical axis calibration is needed.
    • Press the Menu (4) button to enter the menu interface.
    • Select and enter to the optical axis calibration interface with a short press of the Menu (4) button.
    • Then move the image to the proper position by the Power (3) / Camera (5) button, and press the Menu (4) button to switch the movement direction.  switch the movement direction.

  • Power Off. After use, press and hold the Power (3) button to enter the power-off interface. Select ✓ and confirm your selection with the Menu (4) button to save settings and turn off the device. During the saving data, do not disconnect it from the power source, otherwise, the data cannot be saved.

Bluetooth Remote Controller

The CLIP NV series support to be operated by a Bluetooth remote controller. The buttons and operation of the Bluetooth remote controller are consistent with that of the CLIP NV devices.

  • Turn on the Bluetooth function of the Clip in the menu interface.
  • Then, press and hold the Power button on the Bluetooth remote controller for 15s to 30s until the Bluetooth icon shows “Connected”. In this case, the Clip can be controlled by the Bluetooth remote controller.
  • If the signal is lost during connection, the Bluetooth remote controller will continuously search the device for one minute and reconnect.
  • If the disconnection lasts for one minute, the Bluetooth remote controller will automatically shut down.

Important Safety Information

Environmental influences

  • Never point the lens of the device directly at intense heat sources such as the sun or laser equipment. The objective lens and eyepiece can function as a burning glass and damage the interior components.
  • Avoid touching the metal surface (cooling fins) after exposure to sunlight or cold.

Ergonomics notes
Take breaks after longer periods of use to avoid wrist pain.

Risk of swallowing
Do not place this device in the hands of small children. Incorrect handling can cause small parts to come loose which may be swallowed.

Safety instructions for use

  • Handle the device with care: rough handling can damage the internal battery.
  • Do not expose the device to fire or high temperatures.
  • Install the batteries correctly according to the instruction on the device. Reverse connection is prohibited.
  • If the device has been damaged, send the device to our after-sales service for repair.

Function test

  • Before use, please ensure that your device has no visible damage.
  • Test to see if the device displays a clear, undisturbed image.
  • Check that the settings for the device are correct.

Installing/removing the battery
The Clip NV series front attachment needs to install two CR123 (3.7V) or 16650 batteries for use. Refer to the section Battery Installation for details.
