Product Description

Anti-bedsore cushion consists of numerous, elastic, air-interconnected cells that provide proper pressure distribution which prevents skin abrasions and bedsores. Inflating and pressure control is possible due to the hand pump and air valve. Cover made of breathable, perforated fabric and empty spaces between the cells provide optimal comfort of use and airflow – warmth is taken away from the body which prevents excessive perspiration. The cushion is easy to maintain, and highly hygienic. Additionally, the cells in the two-zones version are divided into two zones. Each of the zones has a separated valve. Thanks to such construction its possible (depending on cushion position transverse or longitudinal) to correct patients’ position or adjust tilt angle. Anti-slip pad maintains the cushion on the place.

Application

The cushion prevents skin abrasions caused by sitting for long periods relieves lumbar spine, provides proper pelvic position which prevents pain related to lumbar spine overloading.

Contraindications

Use

Take the cushion out of the box and twist the valve counter-clockwise to open.
Attach the silicon hose of the pump to the valve. Inflate the cushion with a pump.
Close the valve by turning it clockwise.
In order to regulate the softness and height of the cushion, sit on the cushion and turn the valve clockwise. Adjust the cushion softness to individual needs to obtain maximum comfort. Readjusting the cushion pressure is recommended every 10 days.
In case of two-zones cushions, repeat actions 1-4 for the second valve.

Safety of use

Before using the cushion, refer to this manual and keep it for future reference.
Permitted user weight 130 kg.
Avoid using the cushion in extremely high or low temperatures, do not expose it to UV rays.
Keep away from fire.
Keep away from sharp objects.
The cushion can be used only with the original cushion cover.
Please remember that on the cushion should stay only the patient (other people on the mattress are not allowed).
Pay attention to skin changes. If necessary, consult your doctor or nurse.
The cushion can be used on flat surfaces only. Using the mattress on the orthopedic adjustable beds it is not recommended.

Everyday use and maintenance
For hygiene reasons, an anti-bedsore cushions should be used only by one patient. The cushion cover should be washed up by hand in warm water using mild detergents. Do not chlorinate. Do not whirlpool, wring gently before drying. Dry in a horizontal position. Dry in a distance of artificial sources of heat. Do not iron. Close the valve before cleaning the cushion. The cushion should be washed up with a damp cloth using mild detergents. Dry in a distance of artificial sources of heat. Do not iron. Always put on the cover when the cover and cushion are completely dry.
