WIDE-VIEW COLOR WEATHER STATION

ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL

These operating instructions are to be considered a component of the device. Please read the safety instructions and the operating instructions carefully before use. Keep these instructions for renewed use at a later date. When the device is sold or given to someone else, the instruction manual must be provided to the new owner/user of the product. The device is intended only for indoor use.

GENERAL WARNINGS

  • Risk of electric shock
    — This device contains electronic components. Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the risk of an electric shock.

  • Choking hazard
    — Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out of the reach of children, as these materials pose a choking hazard.

  • Risk of chemical burn
    — Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you insert the batteries correctly. Leaking battery acid can lead to chemical burns. Avoid contact with battery acid on skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. In the event of contact, rinse the affected region immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
    — Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the recommended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries, or throw them into a fire. Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short circuit, a fire, or an explosion.

  •  Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer. The dealer will contact the Service Centre and can send the device in to be repaired, if necessary.

  • Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new,  complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or with different capacities. The batteries should be removed from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.

Weather station, Outdoor sensor (ST1004H), Operating instructions, DC 5V 150 mA Adapter, 5x AAA batteries.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • We recommend using alkaline batteries. If temperatures regularly fall below 0°C (32°F), we recommend using lithium batteries.
  • Avoid using rechargeable batteries. (Rechargeable batteries cannot maintain correct power requirements.)
  • Insert batteries before first use, matching the polarity in the battery compartment. 3x AAA Batteries are required for the Weather station and 2x AAA Batteries are required for the Outdoor sensor.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

  1. Press [ SNZ / LIGHT ] to activate the backlight or to activate the snooze function to delay the alarm.

  2. Press [ ALARM ] to turn on/off the alarm.

  3. Press [ ALERT ] to check the high/low temperature. Press and hold [ ALERT ] to set the temperature alert.

  4. Press [ CH ] to toggle between outdoor sensor channels 1-3. Press and hold to initiate an outdoor sensor search.

  5. While in normal display mode, press [ ▼/RCC ] / [▼ ] to select 12H or 24H, and press and hold to initiate RCC receiving. While in setting mode, press [ ▼/RCC ] /[▼] to decrease one unit, press and hold to decrease rapidly.

  6. While in normal display mode, press [▲/CF ] to select °C or °F. While in setting mode, press [▲/CF ] to increase one unit, press and hold to increase rapidly.

  7. Press [MODE ] to toggle between time and alarm display. Press and hold [ MODE ] to enter time and date setting mode or alarm setting mode.

  8. Wall Mount.

GETTING STARTED

INSERT BATTERIES

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.
  2. Insert 3x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match upon installation.
  3. Reattach the battery door. NOTE: Replace batteries when [ ] when the display is dim.

OUTDOOR SENSOR
The main unit can receive data from up to 3 outdoor sensors. 1 Sensor is included with delivery.

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.
  2. Select a channel. 3.Insert 2x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match upon installation.
  3. Reattach the battery door.
  4. Place the sensor within 30 m (98 ft) of the main unit using the table stand or wall mount.

TO SEARCH FOR A SENSOR:

The main unit will automatically search for a new sensor after the batteries are installed. To manually initiate an outdoor sensor search, press and hold [ CH ].
NOTE: The transmission range may vary depending on many factors. You may need to experiment with various locations to get the best results.

**CLOCK RECEPTION***

  1. When you insert or replace the batteries, RCC reception is initiated. To manually start RCC reception, press and hold the [ ▼/RCC ] button.
  2. The receiving process duration is 3-8 minutes.
  3. If the RCC receiving process is successful, a completed RCC symbol [ ] will be shown in the display and the date and time will be set IT automatically. If it fails press and holds the [ ▼/RCC ] button to reinitiate RCC receiving.
  4. If the device is still not receiving the signal, please proceed to set the time manually.

SET THE CLOCK MANUALLY

  1. Press and hold the [MODE ] button to enter into the time and date setting.

  2. The setting parameter will flash.

  3. Press [▲/CF ] button once, and the figure will increase by 1 unit. Press and hold the [ ▲/CF ] button, the figures will increase rapidly.

  4. Press [▼/RCC ] / [▼] button once, and the figure decreases by 1 unit. Press and hold the [ ▼/RCC ] / [ ▼] button, and the figures will decrease rapidly.

  5. Press the [ MODE ] button to confirm the setting and enter to next parameter.

  6. Sequence of setting:

  7. If you press the [ MODE ] button, the setting will be saved and you will exit the setting mode.

°C/°F SETTING Press [ ▲/CF ] button to switch Celsius (°C) /Fahrenheit (°F).

ALARM

SETTING/ADJUSTING ALARM TIME

  1. Press [ MODE ] to display the alarm.
  2. Press and hold the [ MODE ] button to enter alarm setting mode.
  3. The setting parameter will flash.
  4. Press [ ▲/CF ] or [ ▼/RCC ] / [▼] button to set the desired data.
  5. Press the [ MODE ] button to confirm the setting and exit.
  6. The alarm will sound when the alarm setting is finished and turned on.

TURN ON/OFF THE ALARM

Press the [ ALARM ] button to turn on/off the alarm.
SNOOZE FUNCTION

  1. Press the [ SNZ / LIGHT ] button for about 3 seconds to enter the snooze time interval setting. The preset digit flashes (03-20 minutes)
  2. Press [ ▲/CF ] or [▼/RCC ] / [▼] button to change the value.
  3. Finally, press the [ MODE ] button to save the settings and exit settings mode.
  4. At the set time, the alarm signal rings.
  5.  During the alarm, press the [ SNZ / LIGHT ] button to delay the alarm by the previously set time interval.
  6. To stop the alarm, press [ ALARM ] or any other button, except for [ SNZ / LIGHT ].
  7. The alarm will start again at the next alarm time unless you switch off the alarm function by pressing the [ ALARM ] button until the alarm is set to off.

WEATHER FORECAST
This device calculates a weather forecast for the next 12 hours on basis of the measured values. It has 6 kinds of dynamic weather forecasts.

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY

The indoor temperature is always displayed in the right bottom corner of the screen. To receive outdoor temperature you can connect up to 3 outdoor sensors to the main unit.
Press the [ CH ] button to toggle between Channels 1-3.
SETTING TEMPERATURE ALERT

  1. Press the [ ALERT ] button for approx. 2 seconds and the current channel symbol starts flashing.
  2. Press the [ ▲/CF ] or [ ▼/RCC ] / [▼] button to set the temperature.
  3. Press the [ ALERT ] button to confirm and continue to the next setting.
  4. Settings order: Outdoor high temperature Outdoor low temperature Indoor high temperature Indoor low temperature
  5. Press the Alert button to check the high/low temperature.
  6. When checking the temperature alarm, press the [ ▲/CF ] or [ ▼/RCC ] / [▼] button to activate or deactivate the Alarm for the currently selected temperature Alert.
  7. Press the [ CH ] button to select the channel. When an alert is triggered, press any button to stop the alert. If you ignore the alarm, it will ring for 5 seconds of each minute.

MOON PHASES
This weather station is able to display the moon phases for the northern hemisphere. Here the moon grows from the right. This is because the sunlit side of the moon in the northern hemisphere moves from right to left.
B ACKLIGHT
Press [ SNZ / LIGHT ] to activate the backlight. When connecting with an adaptor, press the [ SNZ / LIGHT ] button to adjust the brightness. The setting order: High light Low light off.
When connecting with batteries, press the  [ SNZ / LIGHT ] button to adjust the brightness. The setting order: High light Low light.

NOTES ON CLEANING

  • Remove the batteries before cleaning.
  • Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. To avoid damaging the electronics, do not use any cleaning fluid.
  • Protect the device from dust and moisture.

DISPOSAL

Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental authority for information on the proper disposal.
Do not dispose of electronic devices in the household garbage!
As per the Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its adaptation into German law, used electronic devices must be
collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
In accordance with the regulations concerning batteries and rechargeable batteries,  disposing of them in normal household waste is explicitly forbidden. Please make sure to dispose of your used batteries as required by law — at a local collection point or in the retail market.
The disposal of domestic waste violates the Battery Directive. Batteries that contain toxins are marked with a sign and a chemical symbol.
