ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1:
Insert the front leg (7) into the upper support frame (1).
Step 2:
Connect the front leg (7) and the upper support frame (1) by inserting the
screw of the cushion mount (5) into a hole shared by both the front leg (7)
and upper leg (1) and by tightening the knurled-head screw (12).
You may adjust the inclination angle of the bench after the bench has been
fully assembled (step 6).
Step 3:
Attach the long cushion mount (4) to the upper support frame (1) using the
second knurled-head screw (12).
There are two positions available to do so. Select the position for the long
cushion mount (4) based on your comfort level and body height.
Step 4:
Insert the frame (2) into the upper support frame (1). Connect both parts
using a hex screw (13), two washers (20) and one self-locking nut (15).
Tighten the connection, but make sure you can still move the support frame.
Attach the safety hook (17) to the available, second hole as shown in the
picture.
Guide the foam tube (14) through the designated holes in the bottom of the
bench and secure with the locking screw (18).
Moisten the handlebar foam grip (10) with some liquid soap or detergent and
then slide it onto the other end of the tube. Once the detergent has dried up,
the foam grip will sit securely.
Step 5: Barbells
You may use the provided barbells for training your upper body. If you do
not need the barbells, you may store them as followed: Unfold the four barbell
holders (16) located on the bottom of the bench and mount the barbells (19)
accordingly.
Step 6: Adjusting the inclination angle of the bench
By adjusting the inclination angle of the bench you may vary the level of
difficulty and thereby change the workout effect.
Adjust the inclination by releasing the knurledhead screw (12) on the cushion
mount (5), removing the cushion mount, and then lifting or lowering the bench.
There are six height adjustment settings, allowing for a wide range of
vertical adjustment.
Once you have adjusted the bench to the desired height, reinsert the cushion
mount (5) and secure it with the knurled-head screw (12).
7. Step 7: Folding the bench
The sit-up bench can be folded in order to save space! This also allows for
easy storage of the bench. Folding the bench does not require any tools;
simply observe the following instructions:
Warning! Proceed carefully when folding the bench and make sure not to
crush your fingers. Remove the barbells from their holders before folding the
bench.
Figure 1:
- Remove the safety hook (17) from the bench (step 1). Slightly pull the frame (2) out from the upper support frame (1) (step 2).
Figure 2:
- Place the bench onto its rear stabilizer and retract the upper support frame (1).
- Reattach the safety hook (17) to the upper support frame.
You may then lean the device against a wall or slide it under a bed. To unfold
the device, proceed in reverse order.
Warning: Before each use, check the safety hook (17) for correct
positioning according to figure 1.

WORKOUT INSTRUCTIONS
Using this sit-up bench provides several benefits. You will improve fitness,
strengthen your muscles and – in combination with a well-balanced diet – may
even loose weight.
Loosing weight
The most important factor in terms of loosing weight is the effort you make
during your workout. The longer and harder you exercise, the more calories you
burn and the more weight you will loose.
Workout instructions
The following pages illustrate different exercises to be executed with your
sit-up bench.
Observe the following points during every exercise:
- The direction you face when sitting on the bench.
- The position of your hands and feet during workout.
- How different parts of your body move during exercises.
In order to adjust the level of difficulty for your exercises, you can either
increase (more difficult) or reduce (less difficult) the inclination angle of
your bench. Refer to chapter 5:
Step 6: Adjusting the inclination angle of the bench
EXERCISE 1: SIT-UPS
Training the upper and medium abdominal muscles
a. Sit down on the bench with your knees above the (long) cushion mount (4).
Secure your feet underneath the (short) cushion mount (5).
b. Cross your arms behind your head. Then move your upper body up and down
keeping your back straight and thereby consciously using and bracing your abs.
c. Move you upper body back and stop just before the back cushion in order to
achieve a constant tension.
d. Inhale when bracing your muscles and exhale when releasing your muscles.
EXERCISE 2: SIT-UP VARIATION
Training oblique abdominal muscles
a. Sit down on the bench with your knees below the (long) cushion mount (4).
Secure your feet underneath the (short) cushion mount (5).
b. Cross your arms behind your head. Then move your upper body up and down
with your back straight and by consciously using and bracing your abdominal
muscles.
c. Execute this exercise exactly as exercise 1, but twist your body towards
the right when reaching the highest point and twist it towards the left when
repeating the move; your elbow always points to the opposite leg.
d. Move you upper body back and stop just before the back cushion in order to
achieve a constant tension
EXERCISE 3: LIFTING LEGS
Training the lower abdominal muscles
a. Lie down on the back cushion (3) with your back positioned as shown in the
picture and grab the (long) cushion mount (4).
b. Extend your legs horizontally.
c. Slowly pull your legs back to your chest while exhaling.
EXERCISE 4: EXTENDING LEGS
Training legs, butt and lower abdominal muscles
a. Lie down on the back cushion (3) with your back positioned as shown in the
picture and grab the (long) cushion mount (4).
b. Pull your legs as close as possible to your body and then extend them again
horizontally.
c. Repeat this exercise as desired.
EXERCISE 5: LIFTING LEGS TO THE SIDE
Training upper thighs, waist and butt
a. Lie down sideways on the back cushion of the bench (see figure).
b. Stabilize your body by holding the (short) cushion mount (5) with one hand.
Slowly lift your leg. While doing so, draw your toes in towards your body.
c. Slowly move your legs back to the starting position while exhaling.
EXERCISE 6: BICEP CURLS WITH BARBELLS
Training arm muscles
a. Sit down on the sit-up bench as illustrated.
b. Each hand (19) holds one barbell with the palms facing up.
c. Bend your forearm with the barbell (19) until your biceps reach maximum
contraction. Do not move your upper body while doing so; the power should come
from the arm and not from the shoulder.
d. Slowly extend your arm back to the starting position.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Make sure that all bolts/nuts are correctly tightened after assembly and before use.
- Clean the unit regularly with a slightly damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Do not use any solvents to clean the unit.
- This applies to the padding and handles especially since these parts are in constant contact with your body during training. You can cover the pads with a towel during training to protect them.
- Check all rollers for ease of movement before use. Rollers that move with difficulty result in excessive wear and/or damage to the cables. If one or more rollers is tight, make sure they are installed correctly. Never grease the contact area between the roller and the cable! If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service.
- Maintain the weight guide tube regularly using a little silicone oil.
- You should grease the axles of all moving parts once every one or two years. You can use an off-the-shelf grease to do so.
