Installation Instructions
PLEASE READ – this guide is intended to aid in the installation of our products. It is recommended that factory manuals or instructions are followed to remove the fuel pump assembly from the vehicle. Some instructions in this guide are generic. The factory manual should supersede any contradiction.
Below is a picture of suggested tools that will make the installation process easier.
-
remove the fuel sock cover from the base of the assembly
-
oosen the hose clamps and push them up the hose toward the top, then pull the pump out of the assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pump
-
prep the DW300 by installing the fuel sock and retainer. Start installation of the retainer by pressing it on with your thumb, then use a 4-5mm deep socket to press it on the rest of the way
-
measure and cut the supplied hose, then install it onto the assembly inlet. Slide the new hose clamps on the hose toward the top of the assembly and install the DW200/300 with the supplied isolator on the bottom of the pump. The supplied electrical connector is for earlier Impreza models that came with a different pump connector design. The OE connector can be retained
-
install the top of the fuel sock cover first (white piece)
-
install the bottom of the fuel sock cover (black) by clicking into place
-
reinstall the assembly into the fuel tank and attach a length of hose to the outlet of the pump assembly allowing it to drain into a fuel safe container and prime the fuel pump assembly
-
cycle the key to the on position as many times as required to prime the pump assembly and evacuate the air introduced during the pump installation process
-
attach supply line to the outlet of the pump assembly
