APPLIANCE SAFETY

Your safety and the safety of others are very important.

We have provided many important safety messages in this manual and on your appliance. Always read and obey all safety messages.

This is the Safety Alert Symbol. The symbol alerts you to potential hazards that can kill or injure you and others. All safety messages will follow the Safety Alert Symbol and either the word DANGER or WARNING.

DANGER ICON DANGER means that failure to heed this safety statement may result in severe personal injury or death.

**** WARNING means that failure to heed this safety statement may result in extensive product damage, serious personal injury, or death.

All safety messages will alert you about the potential hazard, tell you how to reduce the chance of injury, and let you know what can happen if the instructions are not followed.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before the appliance is used, it must be properly positioned and installed as described in this manual, so read the manual carefully. To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury when using the appliance, follow basic precautions, including the following:

DANGER ICON

  • Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet, do not remove grounding prong, do not use an adapter, and do not use an extension cord.
  • Replace all panels before operating.
  • It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only your appliance be provided. Use receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
  • Never clean appliance parts with flammable fluids. These fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion. And do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.

  • Do not place the equipment near naked flames or other heat sources (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens etc.)
  • Do not store any explosive substances like spray cans with a flammable propellant.
  • Ensure the supply cord is dry and not trapped or damaged. Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the equipment.
  • Check the voltage specification on the type plate corresponds to that of the energy supply. The equipment is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the equipment.
  • Do not use electrical equipment inside the cold storage compartments of the equipment, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Once unpacked and before turning on, the equipment must be placed on a level surface for more than 6 hours.
  • Make sure that the equipment stays horizontally when it is running. The tilt angle must be less than 5° for long time running and be less than 45° for short time running.
  • Keep the ventilation openings in the unit casing or in the built-in structure free of obstacles. (Around the compressor≥100mm).
  • Keep the equipment stable on the ground or in the car; Do not drain upside down.

CAUTION: Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Incorrect repair may cause danger. The lamp and supply cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified persons.

  • Disconnect the power supply before each cleaning and maintenance and after every use.
  • Do not use sharp tools to defrost; Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE

  • Connect your appliance to the power supply. A buzzer will make a long beep. The display will illuminate for 2 seconds. Your appliance will be in normal operating mode now.

NOTE: Only the cooling temperature can be adjusted, from -20°C to 20°C. Heating can only be set to: +50℃.

  • When the screen stops flashing, the temperature displayed is the current temperature of the compartment. It will take several minutes to reach the set temperature.

NOTE: If power to the unit is cut suddenly, the unit will resume operation at the last set temperature, once power is restored.

NOTES:

  • The voltage is theoretical value. There may be a deviation in different sceneries.
  • The H-level input should be set when the appliance is connected to car power, and the M or L-level inputs should be set when it is connected to a portable battery or other back-up battery.

CLEANING AND CARE

Cleaning
CAUTION: Be sure to turn off the power switch and unplug the appliance before cleaning to avoid electric shock.

  • Clean your appliance with a soft cloth, moistened with lukewarm water.
  • Avoid getting water droplets in any of the vents, as this may lead to damage to the electronic components.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to completely dry the appliance after cleaning.
  • Clean the appliance after use and before storage.

CAUTION: Do not soak the appliance in water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents during cleaning, as these can damage the appliance. Do not use scouring agents or scrapers when cleaning.

Defrosting

  • Humidity can form frost in the interior of the appliance or on the evaporator.

  • Frost buildup reduces the cooling capacity. Defrosting the appliance can help to avoid this:
    1. Switch off and unplug the device first to avoid electric shock.
    2. Take out all the items stored in the device.
    3. Keep the lid open.
    4. Wipe off the defrosted water.

  • Never use hard or pointed tools to remove ice or to loosen objects which have frozen in place.

Storage
If the appliance will not be in use for an extended period of time, follow these instructions:

  1. Switch the appliance off and unplug from any power source.
  2. Remove any stored items.
  3. Wipe off excess water with a soft rag.
  4. Put the appliance in a cool, dry place.
  5. Leave the lid slightly open to prevent odors from forming.

NOTE: It is recommended that the ambient temperature of the room where the appliance is stored be approximately 25°C (77°F), with an ambient humidity of less than 75%.

Energy-Saving Tips

  • Place the appliance in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Cool items before storing them in the appliance, if possible.
  • Do not set the temperature colder than necessary.
  • Do not open the appliance more than necessary.
  • Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary.

LIMITED WARRANTY

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Within the 48 contiguous United States, for one year from the date of purchase, when this appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, warrantor will pay for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service must be provided by a designated service company. Outside the 48 states, all parts are warranted for one year from manufacturing dates. Plastic parts, shelves, and cabinets are warranted to be manufactured to commercially acceptable standards and are not covered from damage during handling or breakage.

5 YEAR COMPRESSOR WARRANTY
1. The compressor is covered for five years.
2. Replacement does not include labor.

ITEMS WARRANTOR WILL NOT PAY FOR:

  1. Service calls to correct the installation of your appliance, to instruct you how to use your appliance, to replace or repair fuses or correct wiring or plumbing.
  2. Service calls to repair or replace appliance light bulbs or broken shelves. Consumable parts (such as filters) are excluded from warranty coverage.
  3. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, acts of God, improper installation, installation not in accordance with electrical or plumbing codes, or use of products not approved by warrantor.
  4. Replacement parts or repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States.
  5. Repairs to parts or systems resulting from unauthorized modifications made to the appliance.
  6. Expenses for travel and transportation for product service in remote locations.
  7. The removal and reinstallation of your appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in accordance with published installation instructions.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
