POWER A2 AND POWER A5 E-KIT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES
PART# A2 – W13110002164
PART# A5 -W13113202164
Required Tools: (Not included)
A. Phillips screwdriver
B. 4 mm Allen wrench
C. Small flat screwdriver
D. Long needle nose pliers
E. 3 mm Allen wrench
F. 5 mm Allen wrench
WARNING
CAUTION: To avoid potential shock or other injury, turn power switch OFF and disconnect charger before conducting any assembly or maintenance procedures. Failure to follow these steps in the correct order may cause irreparable damage.
Step 1
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove nine (9) screws from the bottom of the
deck.| Step 2
Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove two (2) hex screws. One on each side of the
deck.

Step 3
Remove the plastic cover from the unit. Locate and disconnect the throttle
wire from the controller.| Step 4
Remove the grommet from the metal bracket. Push the throttle wire inside the
opening.

Step 5
Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove two (2) hex screws and pull the bracket out
of the frame.| Step 6
Remove the controller cover to access the wires.
Remove the grommet at the back of the tray.

Step 7
Disconnect the three (3) wires from the back of the unit.| Step 8
Push down on the power switch and slide the battery tray out of the deck.
|
Step 9
Disconnect the rest of the wires from controller. Remove and replace with new
unit.| Step 10
Line up the wires and slide battery tray back inside the frame. Reposition the
grommet at the back of the tray.

Step 11
Reconnect all connectors.
NOTE: There is one connector that is empty.| Step 12
Place bracket back on the unit and pull the throttle wire through the opening
on the bracket.

Step 13
Using a small flat screwdriver remove the grommet inside the opening of the
deck| Step 14
Unfold the unit and using a pair of long needle nose pliers remove the spring
from the folding mechanism pin.

Step 15
Using a small flat screwdriver remove the C-ring from the folding mechanism
pin and slide the pin out from the frame.| Step 16
Using a 3 mm Allen wrench, remove the set screw at the back of the folding
knob while holding the knob.

Step 17
Using a small flat screwdriver remove the C-ring from the folding mechanism
pin and slide the pin out from the frame.| Step 18
Using a 3 mm Allen wrench, remove the set screw at the back of the folding
knob while holding the knob.

Step 19
Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, loosen the bolt from the collar clamp and remove
the stem from the fork.| Step 20
Using a 3 mm Allen wrench, loosen the set screw from the throttle and slide
throttle away from the grip.

Step 21
Insert a flat screwdriver between the handle and grip and apply a few drops of
WD40® or soapy water to help remove the grip.| Step 22
Using a flat screwdriver remove the grommet from the T-tube and slide throttle
cable off the handlebar assembly, reverse steps for installation.

Step 23
Reverse the steps.
ATTENTION: Charge battery 10 hours before using.
