WARRANTY
This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The warranty will only be valid if the warranty application has been completed by the dealer at the time of purchase. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.
RECYCLING INFORMATION
- This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it must be brought to the applicable collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensorly limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.

Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance. Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.

This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:
- Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings
- Farms
- Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character
- Guest rooms or similar
Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.
The appliance can become hot during use. Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don’t cover the appliance. Never touch any hot parts while the appliance is switched on and being used.

Before use, check if the voltage stated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage of the power net at your home.

Do not let the cord hang on a hot surface or on the edge of a table or counter top.

Never use the appliance when the cord or plug is damaged, after malfunction or when the appliance itself is damaged. In that case, take the appliance to the nearest qualified service center for check-up and repair.

Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near or by children.

The use of accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause fire, electrical shock or injuries.

Unplug the appliance when it is not in use, before assembling or disassembling any parts and before cleaning the appliance. Put all buttons and knobs into the ‘off’ position and unplug the appliance by grasping the plug. Never unplug by pulling the cord.

Never place this appliance near a gas stove or electrical stove or in a place where it may come into contact with a warm appliance.

Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.

Make sure that children do not touch the cord or appliance.

Keep the cord away from sharp edges and hot parts or other heat sources.

Before use, remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
This appliance is designed for making sandwiches, waffles and grilled food. The appliance is equipped with baking plates with an anti-stick coating. The appliance is only suited for indoor use and household use.
First use
- Make sure that there is enough room around the appliance, so that the heat can escape and the air can circulate.
- Clean the appliance. Check the instructions in the section ‘Instructions for cleaning’.
- Put the appliance on a stable and flat surface.
- Pour a few drops of vegetable oil on the baking plates.
- Plug in the snack maker. The red light will light up.
- Set the desired temperature. The appliance will start heating.
- When the preheating is done and the appliance is ready for baking, the green light will light up.
- Pull the plug out of the socket after use and let the appliance cool down completely.
When turning on the appliance for the first time, there may be some smoke development and a specific odour during a short period of time. This is normal.

ASSEMBLING AND DISASSEMBLING THE BAKING PLATES
Before assembling or disassembling anything, unplug the snack maker and wait
until the appliance has cooled down completely.
Caution: Do not let the baking plates come into contact with any metal
cutlery or other metal objects to avoid damaging of the anti-stick coating.
- Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
- If necessary, clean the baking plates with a damp cloth.
- Assemble the baking plates you want to use. This is how you do the assembling:
* 10\. Locking pin
* 11\. Hole
* 12\. Locking plate
* 13\. Hinge
* 14\. Slot
- Place the 2 locking plates at the bottom of the top baking plate in the top slots of the hinges of the appliance. Make sure that the locking pin clicks into place in the hole at the top of the appliance. Push against the baking plate so that it locks into place.
- Place the 2 locking plates at the top of the bottom baking plate in the bottom slots of the hinges of the appliance. Make sure that the locking pin clicks into place in the hole at the front of the appliance. Push on the baking plate so that it locks into place.
- To remove the baking plates, press the buttons on the sides of the appliance. This will release the baking plates. To remove the top plate, press the left button. To remove the bottom plate, press the right button.
USING THE SNACK MAKER
Caution: never use the appliance with only 1 baking plate. Always make sure that the 2 baking plates are assembled correctly.
- You can smear in the baking plates with a little vegetable oil to make sure that you will be able to easily remove any food remains after baking.
- Close the lid with the handle.
- Plug in the appliance. The red on/off light will light up
- Switch on the snack maker by turning the temperature knob and set your desired baking temperature. You can choose between a low, medium or maximum temperature (or anything in between). The appliance will start heating.
- When the heating elements have reached the desired temperature, the green ‘ready’ light will light up. The appliance is now ready for use.
- Open the lid with the handle.
- Put the ingredients on the bottom baking plate.
- Close the lid with the handle.
- When you are using the grill plates for panini sandwiches, make sure to use the handle to press down.
- While the appliance is switched on, the green light will go on and off as the thermostat switches itself on and off to maintain the desired temperature.
- Bake the food until it is ready for consumption. The baking time depends on your personal taste. Experiment with the baking time to obtain the best results.
- Stay near the appliance and regularly check whether the food is done. Make sure not to burn the food.
- Lift the handle to open the lid when the food is done.
- Remove the food from the baking plate. Always use oven mits to remove food from the snack maker.
- Close the lid to keep the heat for further use.
- To switch off the appliance, turn the temperature knob to the ‘STOP’ position and unplug the appliance. When the temperature knob is set to the ‘STOP’ position, the heating elements and the thermostat will not work. However, the red on/off light will stay lit up until the plug is removed from the socket.
- Let the appliance cool down completely.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEANING
This appliance requires little maintenance. If the appliance should be broken,
have it repaired by the dealer.
CAUTION:
- Never immerse the appliance in a liquid.
- Before cleaning the snack maker, always unplug the appliance en let it cool down completely.
- Do not use any abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. They can damage the appliance.
Cleaning the inside
- Press the buttons on the sides of the appliance to release the baking plates from the snack maker.
- Clean the baking plates with absorbing paper towels or with a soft cloth.
- Although the baking plates are equipped with an anti-stick coating, it could still be possible that there are remains on the plates that are hard to remove. To remove these residues, thoroughly smear in the baking plates with vegetable oil and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Afterwards, clean the baking plates with absorbing paper towels.
- If this does not work, clean the plates with a damp vloth and a little mild detergent. Rinse the plate under running water. Let the plates dry well.
Regularly check the snack maker for possible damage.
Cleaning the outside
Rub the outside clean with a soft, dry cloth. Thoroughly dry the outside of
the appliance with a clean, dry cloth.
STORAGE
- Store the appliance and its accessories in the original packaging.
- Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry and frost-free place, outside the reach of children.
