Product Usage Instructions

Setting Up Alexa with Oelo Evolution:

1. Plug in your Alexa device and follow Alexa’s device setup  instructions if not done already.
2. Download the Alexa app on your mobile device.
3. Sign up for or sign into your Alexa account.
4. Search for “Oelo Evolution” in the Search Bar in the Alexa app.
5. Click on “ENABLE TO USE” to enable the Oelo features.
6. Link your Oelo account by using your Oelo Evolution login credentials.
7. Select an Oelo Controller or Oelo Zone and tap “Set Up Device.”
8. Add your device to a Group to control multiple Oelo Zones together or other smart devices.

Controlling Oelo Lights with Alexa Commands:

Turning On/Off Lights:

• To turn on lights without specifying color: Say, “Alexa, turn on [Oelo Zone or Alexa Group].”
• To turn on lights with a specific color: Say, “Alexa, turn on [Oelo Zone or Alexa Group] to [Color].”
• To turn off lights: Say, “Alexa, turn off [Oelo Zone or Alexa Group].”

Creating Routines:

• Create routines to enable multiple actions like turning off lights and other devices simultaneously.
• Use commands like “Goodnight” or “Let there be light” to trigger specific routines.

Note: Ensure simple names for Controllers, Zones, and Patterns for better Alexa recognition.

ALEXA INSTRUCTIONS

1. STEP 1: Plug in your Alexa device. If you have not set up your Alexa device, please follow Alexa’s device setup instructions
2. STEP 2: Download the Alexa app
3. STEP 3: Sign up for (or sign into) your Alexa account.
4. STEP 4: Click the MORE icon (bottom right of the mobile device).
5. STEP 5: Click “Skills & Games
6. STEP 6: Search “Oelo Evolution” in the Search Bar.
7. STEP 7: Click the “ENABLE TO USE” button.
8. STEP 8: Link your Oelo account by using your Oelo Evolution login credentials.
9. STEP 9: Click “Next” to allow Alexa to discover your devices (Oelo Controllers/Zones) and scenes (Your Patterns).
10. STEP 10: Select an Oelo Controller or Oelo Zone and tap “Set Up Device.”
11. STEP 11: Add your “device” to a “Group” to control multiple Oelo Zones together or to turn on/off other smart devices in tandem with your Oelo Lights. Example: Group other outside lights.
12. STEP 12: Create Routines to enable Alexa to take multiple actions, like turning off your lights and other devices.
13. STEP 13: Command your lights! Use the commands on the back page!
