Greenwood 04cc02 Low Energy Continuous Extract Fan
Your home is fitted with a Greenwood Unity decentralised mechanical extract ventilation (dMEV) fan. This has been specially designed and calibrated for your home. Please do not switch off or adjust the unit. The system is designed to run continuously. If the unit is switched off or adjusted indoor pollutant and moisture levels are likely to increase.
What is a dMEV fan?
Decentralized mechanical extract ventilation fans (dMEV), commonly known as
continuous extract ventilation fans, provide constant low level background
ventilation to wet rooms (bathrooms, kitchens, etc.), with a boost feature as
and when required. Because the fan is always running it provides 5 times more
ventilation than intermittent, helping to protect homes against condensation,
mould growth and ensure quality air is always circulating.
How does it work?
Greenwood Unity dMEV fans work by continuously extracting air from rooms in
your home at a low rate and boosting when required – either by an independent
switch or automatically via humidity sensing, depending on how the unit has
been installed. This constant ventilation helps reduce steam and smells
created by everyday activities such as bathing, cooking and showering. It
helps promotes effective ventilation which can help create a healthy living
environment and reduce the symptoms of asthma and other health conditions.
What do I need to do?
Unity is a low maintenance, low energy, low noise, top-of-the-range
decentralized mechanical extract ventilation fan. The system is installed and
set up for you. It will run in the background and boost when showering,
cooking, etc. You may have an additional means of manually boosting the unit
by using a switch in your kitchen or bathroom. Provided the unit remains
switched it will work 365 days per year to extract air, moisture and odors
from the room.
Who do I contact for advice?
If you need any advice or experience an issue with the unit please first
contact your housing provider or house builder. If any additional support is

Key Beneft.ts of your Greenwood Unity Fan
- Your Unity fan is an ultra-low energy ventilation solution. With an annual running cost less than the price of a jar of coffee the unit is designed to do the job it is supposed to do without costing the earth.
- With continuously running fans, the pitch or frequency of the noise is often the root of nuisance noise. Greenwood’s range of Unity dMEV fans are designed to operate quietly! This is achieved through a combination of innovative motor, electronics and aerodynamic impellor design.
- Because they only operate boost when required, Unity dMEV fans help save energy. Since less electricity is being used, your fan is having a positive impact on your bills, and contributing to a reduction in the carbon footprint of the home.
- By continuously running, Unity helps prevent moisture from rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens from spreading into other rooms. As a result it offers humidity control at source and draws out the moisture in your home -minimising the effect of dampness.
Please note: These benefits are only possible “your fan is not adjusted and remains on at all times.
