Thank you for choosing the JARNEX Smart Camera. This quick start guide will
swiftly guide you through setup and installation.Let’s get started!
Package Includes
APP Set Up
Download the free JARNEX app from the App Store or Google Play Store, open the app, tap ‘Sign Up,’ and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account.
Connect the cell phone to the 2.4 GHz WiFi network and ensure Location and Bluetooth are enabled.
Light Indication
Solid Red Light : The camera is powered on and initializing.
Flashing Blue Light : The camera is connecting to network.
Flashing Red Light : The camera is ready to connect
Solid Blue Light : The camera is working properly
Flashing Red And Blue light : The camera loses connection and searches
for the network after connected.
ADD Device(Bluetooth
Power the camera using the provided cable and USB adapter. Open the JARNEX app, log in, and select ‘Add Device’ from the menu by tapping the ‘+’ icon located at the top-right corner of the screen.
Navigate to the top of the screen, allowing a few moments for the camera
detection process. Once the ‘Camera’ appears, select it and confirm that the
indicator light continues blinking red.
Ensure that the displayed WiFi network corresponds to your 2.4GHz network.
Enter your WiFi password, then click “Next”. Allow a few seconds for the
process, and upon completion, the message ‘Added successfully’ will appear.

To manually add the camera without utilizing Bluetooth, access the button screen, choose theappropriate camera, and follow the on-screen instructions provided within the app.
Installation Options
You have three installation options for the camera:
Tabletop or Shelf: Simply place it on a table, shelf, or any flat surface.
Wall Mounting: Align the grooves with the mounting plate until it securely clicks into place on the wall.
Ceiling Mounting: Similarly, align the grooves with the mounting plate to securely affix the camera to the ceiling.
Installation Steps
When determining the ideal camera placement, adjust its height as needed within the maximum 9 ft range from the adapter. Conceal the cable management box for convenient access and use the compact Type-C side for tidy cable organization, ensuring an organized setup.
Locate a nearby outlet close to your camera’s position, peel off the plastic cover from the adhesive tape, and affix it to a solid surface like a wall for efficient cable management.
Position the camera’s base on your preferred spot on the wall or ceiling, then mark the screw hole positions on the wall using the mounting holes in the camera’s base. Keep in mind the cable’s maximum range of 9 ft.
Drill into the marked spots, insert the plastic anchors into the holes, and then secure the screws into the anchors to mount the wall mount securely
Rotate the camera to align it with the mounting plate, then secure the camera onto the wall or ceiling. Connect the camera using the shrinkable cable and begin using your smart camera.
Reminders
Avoid installing the camera in areas where the privacy of others may be
compromised.
Use only the provided power adapter to avoid damage to the camera or risk of
electrical shock.
Do not install the camera in outdoor locations, as exposure to outdoor elements may lead to damage and reduced functionality.
