FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Select one of the enclosed ear tips based on size of ear canal and the intended purpose of use. The foam tips are intended for maximum hearing protection and isolation. The silicone tips are primarily for listening to media or phone calls. You may need to experiment with each size ear tip to and the most comfortable and secure fit.
  2. Select the proper size ear tip to at your ear canal. Use the largest size that fits comfortably for most protection. The ear tip should form a complete seal blocking out sound. This is critical to achieving the highest NRR rating and protecting your hearing.
  3. Grip the unit by the ear hooks in both hands. With the controls behind the head, gently extend the cables until the ear hooks are over the ears. Place the tips into the ear with a gentle rocking motion until the tips are fully inserted into the canal.
  4. Test for fit with earphones turned off. Clap your hands and listen to the sound level. If the earbud tips are the correct size and properly inserted ambient sound should be significantly muted. If not, repeat steps 1-3 with an alternative size ear tip.

Turning the Unit On and Off

  1. Press the POWER ON/OFF BUTTON for 3 seconds to turn the unit on. A voice prompt will indicate POWER ON. The LED will flash blue 3 times to indicate both Bluetooth and Hear through are powered on.
  2. The unit automatically enters pairing mode and the LED will flash red & blue alternately.
  3. Go to your Bluetooth settings on your phone. Scan and select “Stealth 28 BT”. Once connected the voice prompt will indicate “connected” and the LED will turn blue.
  4. If a Bluetooth connection is not identified in 5 minutes the indicator light will flash blue every 3 seconds and the Stealth 28 HTBT will be in hear through mode only. This will conserve battery power.
  5. To turn Bluetooth pairing on while the unit is in hear through only mode double tap the POWER ON/OFF BUTTON.
  6. Press the POWER ON/OFF BUTTON for 3 seconds to turn the unit off. The LED will flash red 3 times and a voice prompt will indicate POWER OFF

Bluetooth Controls

To Make Calls

  1. Tap POWER ON/OFF BUTTON once to pick up or end calls.
  2. Tap POWER ON/OFF BUTTON twice to redial last incoming or outgoing number.
  3. When there is another incoming call during another call, tap POWER ON/OFF BUTTON once to end original call and pick up incoming call. Tap POWER ON/OFF BUTTON twice to put original call on hold and receive incoming call. Tap POWER ON/OFF BUTTON twice to alternate between the two calls.

For Media

  1. Tap POWER ON/OFF BUTTON once to play/pause music.
  2. Tap BLUETOOTH VOLUME UP/DOWN BUTTON once to increase/decrease media volume.
  3. Press and hold BLUETOOTH VOLUME UP/DOWN BUTTON for 2 seconds to skip to previous/next track
  4. Press and hold POWER ON/OFF BUTTON for 2 seconds to activate SIRI/BIXBY/ALEXA etc. platforms

Hear Through Instructions

  1. The default sound level when powered on is set at 0 dB of gain. Compression is always on. There are 4 levels of amplification. Continous press of the AMPLIFICATION VOLUME BUTTON will go from level 1 to level 4 and back to level 1, in a loop.
  2. A short press on the AMPLIFICATION VOLUME BUTTON will progress the change in level by one increment.

CHARGING THE UNIT

  • Gently open the charging port rubber cover.
  • Insert the USB-C charging cable to an AC charger (not included) or a USB port on your computer.
  • Insert the USB-C end into the charging port.
  • The LED indicator turns red while the unit is being charged.
  • Once the unit is fully charged the light will turn off.
  • Charging time is approximately 2 hours.
  • Battery life is approximately 15 hours

LOW BATTERY WARNING:

  • A voice prompt will indicate when battery power reaches 5% remaining.
  • The Stealth 28 HTBT contains a 400 mAh 1.48 Wh Li ion battery .
  • This battery is UN 38.3 tested safe for carry on air transport.

CARING FOR YOUR STEALTH 28 HTBT

Remember that your Stealth 28 HTBT is a quality instrument and should be treated in the same careful manner as any other precision-engineered device

  1. Never allow any liquid to enter the Stealth 28 HTBT as this may damage the components within the device.
  2. Do not store your device in any location which would expose it to excessive heat (e.g. direct sunlight, heaters, or radiators.)
  3. Be careful not to drop the device as this may damage its components.
  4. Never insert any foreign objects into your device; it could result in serious damage to the instrument.
  5. Never permit solvents to come into contact with your device as this can damage the unit.
  6. Clean your device by wiping with a damp (not wet) cloth moistened with an antiseptic liquid.
  7. Remember to clean your ear after showering or swimming before inserting the ear bud.
  8. Use a qualified power source when charging to guarantee proper functioning.
  9. Do not try to repair or disassemble the Stealth 28 HTBT yourself.
  10. We recommend replacing your foam ear tips periodically as the foam maybe come hard or unsanitary. Use Pro Ears ear tips as not all replacement tips have the same dimensions and may not provide the same attenuation.

SERVICE AND WARRANTY

Your Stealth 28 HTBT is covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty. This covers all manufacturing and material defects. Problems arising from improper handling or repairs made by unauthorized party are not covered and may void the warranty.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Altus Brands warrants this product to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and conditions for a period of one-year parts/90 days labor from
the date of the original purchase. Under this warranty, this unit will be replaced or repaired at our option, without charge for parts or labor, excluding batteries, for a period of 90 days after the purchase.
After 90 days, the cost of labor with Shipping/Handling and Insurance of $29.95 is the customer’s responsibility.

This warranty is void if any of the following occur:

  1. The warranty card was not sent in at the time or purchase
  2. The unit is not owned by the original purchaser at the time of the warranty claim
  3. The unit has been tampered with, opened or punctured
  4. The unit has been immersed in water or other liquids, allowed to be filled with dirt or dust, or otherwise physically abused
  5. The 12-month limited warranty has expired

This shall be the exclusive written warranty of the original purchaser and neither this warranty or any other warranty, expressed or implied, shall extend beyond the 12-month period listed above.
In no event shall Altus Brands, LLC be liable for consequential damages, consequential property damage, or consequential personal injury. (Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties
or exclusions of consequential damages, so that these restrictions may not apply to you). This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state.

  • The Stealth 28 HTBT is used to reduce harmful loud sounds like gunshot noise. Gunre is a hazardous exposure noise. Altus Brands carries no implied guarantee for over-exposure to noise.
