Corner Guards with Holes and Screws or Nails
STEP 1
Wall surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Wipe the wall
surface with a solvent to ensure all grease, dust, and dirt are removed. Make
sure that the cleaning solvent used will not damage the finish on the wall
surface.
STEP 2
Remove the clear protective film on the exposed side of the corner guard.
STEP 3
3/4” WING
Place in the desired location and hold the corner guard firmly. Using factory-
supplied nails, hammer the nail through the corner guard into the wall.
1-1/8”-3” WING
Place in the desired location and hold the corner guard firmly. Attach the
corner guard by placing the provided self-tapping screws in the pre-drilled
counter sunk holes and attach to the wall.
Corner Guards with Double Sided Tape
STEP 1
Wall surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Wipe the wall
surface with a solvent to ensure all grease, dust, and dirt are removed. Make
sure that the cleaning solvent used will not damage the finish on the wall
surface.
STEP 2
Remove the clear protective film on the exposed side of the corner guard
(clear corner guards only). Self-adhesive corner guards are easy to install
but will break down in high trac areas more quickly than a corner guard that
is fastened with holes and screws.
STEP 3
Peel o backing tape from one wing entirely, then peel back the tape partially
on on the second wing. Place the wing with the fully exposed tape to the wall,
then remove the remainder of the tape backing from the second wing. Press
firmly along the entire length of the corner protector to ensure a good bond.
Cutting Polycarbonate
Due to the tough nature of polycarbonate corner guards, Wallprotex does not
recommend cutting the corner guards in the field. The corner guard material
when cut with a power saw can cause the saw to kick back and injure the
operator. For custom lengths
call before placing an order and Wallprotex can cut the parts to size in the
manufacturing process. If cutting is required, use a hacksaw and be careful.
Storage & Handling
The corner guards are shipped unassembled. Upon receipt, the corner guards
should be stored in the horizontal position at room temperature (65 °-75 ° F).
This is a finished product; store in a protected, clean, and dry area away
from direct sunlight.
Cleaning Instructions
STEP 1
For best results, the use of liquid cleaners such as “409,” “Fantastic,” and
“Mr. Clean,” etc. are recommended. The use of powder cleansers is not
recommended. The use of such cleansers can leave a residue that is difficult
to remove.
STEP 2
Do not use chlorinated or aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, or ketones to clean
Wallpro- tex vinyl products. Avoid the use of heavy degreasers, compounds
containing surfactants, and abrasive compounds or cleaning devices.
Caution
- DO NOT walk on the corner guards.
- DO NOT store anything on top of the corner guards.
