MTF
Every Hasselblad lens is manufactured under strict regulations and must pass
multiple stringent tests. An MTF chart is used to reflect the ability of a
lens to reproduce contrast and resolve details. Low spatial frequencies
reflect overall contrast and high spatial frequencies reflect detail
resolution. MTF 100% indicates ideal performance.
The horizontal axis represents the image height (distance of a given point on
the lens from the center of the sensor). The vertical axis represents the
contrast value (maximum number of 100).
Modulation Transfer as a function of image height at infinity settings.
Sagittal slit orientation drawn with continuous line and tangential with
dashed. White light. Spatial frequencies 10, 20, and 40 lp/mm.
