Warning and Safety instructions
To avoid the risk of accidents and damage to this tubular filter please read
these instructions carefully before using it for the first time.
Keep these instructions in a safe place where they are accessible to users at
all times.
Please also read the operating instructions for your washer-disinfector and pay particular attention to the Warning and Safety instructions.
- The tubular filter must only be used for filtering the wash and rinse water in particular Miele mobile injector units and baskets. Alterations, conversions and modifications are not permitted.
- The tubular filter captures particles ≥ 0.07 mm. Smaller particles can pass through the filter. For this reason the user should inspect narrow lumen items to eliminate any risk.
- Check the tubular filter before use for visible damage or external soiling. A damaged or soiled tubular filter must not be used under any circumstances.
- Clean the tubular filter at least once a week to ensure it maintains the correct filtration efficiency.
- The O-rings at either end of the tubular filter provide the correct seal. The tubular must not be used without these O-rings.
Worn O-rings must be replaced with original Miele O-rings only as they are the only ones suitable for use in your machine.
Areas of application
Before using for the first time
- Rinse the tubular filter before first use under running water to re move any possible soiling.
- Carry out a visual check to make sure there is no visible damage to the tubular filter. A damaged tubular filter must not be used.
The O-rings at either end of the tubular filter provide the correct seal. The tubular filter must not be used without these O-rings.
- Check that the O rings are present and not damaged.

Round tube: 1. Push the tubular filter fully into the injector tube by the locking cap.
Areas of application
A light resistance will be felt, caused by the O rings. This is to ensure a
good seal. If a resistance is not felt when pushing the filter in re-place the
O rings.
Only use genuine original Miele O rings as these are the only ones suitable
for use in your machine. The tubular filter must not be used without these
O-rings.
- D-profile tube: The locking cap must engage in position on both sides.
Round tube: 2. Turn the locking cap clockwise as far as it will go.
Cleaning the tubular filter
Clean the tubular filter at least once a week to ensure it maintains the correct filtration efficiency.
Miele recommends that you clean the tubular filter after every 10 programme cycles.
-
Remove the tubular filter.
-
Rinse the tubular filter under running water to remove any coarse soiling.
-
Use the Miele A 804 brush to clean inside the filter. Move the brush in and out of the whole length of the tubular filter at least 5 times.
-
Then rinse the inside of the tube thoroughly with running water.
-
Check that the tubular filter is clean by holding it up against a light source e.g. a window or a lamp. The filter lets light through. If light is not visible in places, or it only lets very little light through, then the tubular filter is not clean and should be cleaned again.
-
Check the filter for damage e.g. small holes or tears. These are evident because these areas let more light through. Damaged tubular filter must not be used.
-
Remove any soiling from the O-rings. Check the O-rings for visible signs of wear and tear.
- Replace the tubular filter.
- Then rinse the brush thoroughly under running water.
If wished, the tubular filter and the brush can be cleaned in the machine after cleaning inside the filter with the brush. Place the filter and the brush loose in a basket or mobile unit to do so.
The brush will suffer wear and tear and should therefore be replaced every 2 to 3 years.
