We recommend attaching your SOS Pull Pin Alarm to your keys so that it will be readily accessible when needed.
ALARM AND STROBE LIGHT
At the first sign of danger, simply pull out the pin at the top of the unit to activate the alarm and strobe light. This can be used to attract attention and scare off an attacker. Once it is safe, reinsert the pin.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
Two CR2032 batteries are included and come pre-installed. If the alarm sound or flashing light becomes noticeably weaker the batteries will need to be replaced. To do so follow these steps
- With one hand on the bottom of the unit and the other on the pull pin, twist the pull pin until one of the sides pops open and then do the same thing to the other side. Then use your fingers to pry the two sides completely apart.
- Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws holding the circuit board.
- Lift up the circuit board, push out the two old batteries and replace them with new ones following the same polarity as the ones removed.
- Replace the two screws and snap the unit back together
WARRANTY
There is a warranty period of one year that covers defects in materials or workmanship, with the following exceptions:
- The warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse or abuse, lack of reasonable care, water damage or excessive moisture, the affixing of any attachment not provided with the product, loss of parts, or recharging the unit in any manner not in accordance with the included instructions.
- The warranty will be voided if the unit has been opened or tampered with in any way (unless by an authorized dealer) or if any unauthorized replacement parts have been used.
- The warranty does not cover corrosion in the battery compartment caused by long-term battery storage.
