KEYPAD/FUNCTION FEATURE INSTRUCTIONS
START Cooking start The START keypad begins any oven

function.
CANCEL| Range function| The CANCEL keypad stops any function for the oven except the Clock and Timer.
CONFIRM/MENU| Confirm or additional menu| The CONFIRM/MENU confirms the option selection and also provides an additional menu within a specific function.
BACK| Back to previous screen| The BACK keypad helps navigate back to the previous menu screen.
Settings| Settings| Settings enable you to personalize the audible tones and oven operation to suit your needs. See the “Electronic Oven Controls” section.

Bake
Baking and **
roasting**

  1. Press Bake.
  2. Press the number or arrow keys (< >) to set the desired temperature. If the temperature entered is not in the range of the temperatures allowed, the minimum or maximum allowed temperature will be displayed. Enter a temperature in the allowable range.
  3. Press START.
  4. To change the temperature or cook time, press CONFIRM/MENU. Use arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU to select and adjust temperature or cook time.
  5. Press CANCEL when finished.

Broil
Broiling

  1. Press Broil.
  2. Select the broiling temperature (Low, Medium, High) by using arrow keys (< >).
  3. Press START.
  4. To change the temperature or cook time, press CONFIRM/MENU. Use arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU to select and adjust temperature or cook time.
  5. Press CANCEL when finished.

No Preheat Prepackaged food

  1. Press No Preheat for cooking pizza, select Frozen Pizza; For frozen lasagna, select Frozen Lasagna using arrow keys (< >).

  2. Position the food on a flat rack in the oven on rack position 3 or 4. See the “Positioning Racks and Bakeware” section.
    NOTE : Cook only 1 package of frozen food.

  3. Press CONFIRM/MENU. Use arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU to select and adjust temperature as recommended on the food packaging.

  4. Press the START keypad. The range will calculate the best cook time based on the current oven temperature.

  5. To change the temperature or cook time, press CONFIRM/MENU. Use arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU to select and adjust temperature or cook time.

  6. Press the CANCEL keypad when finished.

Air Fry Air frying

  1. Place food directly into the oven cavity. Refer to Positioning Racks and Bakeware section for more details.
  2. Press Air Fry. Then press CONFIRM/MENU.
  3. Enter desired temperature using the number or arrow keys (< >). A tone will sound if the temperature entered is too low or too high.
  4. Press the START keypad. There is no preheat or preheat tone.
  5. To change the temperature, repeat Step 2. Press the START.
  6. Press CANCEL when finished.
    NOTE : The fan and elements will shut off when the oven door is opened until the oven door is closed. All timers, including any active Cook Time or Timed Cook functions, will continue to count down.

Air Baking

  1. Press Air Bake.
  2. Press the number or arrow keys (< >) to set the desired temperature. Press the START keypad. Preheating will begin.
  3. Insert food when prompted.
  4. To change the temperature or cook time, press CONFIRM/MENU. Use arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU to select and adjust temperature or cook time.
  5. Press CANCEL when finished.

Air Roast

  1. Press Air Roast.
  2. Use arrow keys (< >) and number keypad to select desired temperature.
  3. Press the START keypad.
  4. To change the temperature or cook time, press CONFIRM/MENU. Use arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU to select and adjust temperature or cook time.
  5. Press CANCEL when finished.

Air Reheat

  1. Press Air Reheat.
  2. Follow the information displayed on the screen to place the food inside oven cavity.
  3. Press the CONFIRM/MENU and set the cook time using arrow keys (< >) or number keypad.
  4. Press START.
  5. Press CANCEL when finished.

Warm Zone

Press Warm Zone and then press CONFIRM/MENU. The warming element will turn on. Press Warm Zone again to turn off the warming element.

Timer
Set – Cancel
Oven timer The Timer can be set in hours or minutes up to 24 hours.

  1. Press Timer Set – Cancel.
  2. Press the number keypads to set the length of time in hr-hr-min-min. Leading zeroes do not have to be entered. For example, for 2 minutes, enter “2.”
  3. Press Timer Set – Cancel to begin the countdown. If enabled, one tone will sound at the end of countdown.
  4. Timer Set – Cancel again to cancel the Timer and return to the time of day. Do not press the CANCEL keypad because the oven will turn off.
  5. If the Timer is running but not in the display, press Timer Set – Cancel to display the countdown for 5 seconds.

Oven Light Oven cavity light
The oven light is controlled by a keypad on the oven control panel. While the oven door is closed, press the oven light keypad to turn the light on and off. When the oven door is opened, the oven light will automatically come on.

Clean Self/Steam Clean cycle

See the “Steam Clean or Self Clean cycle” section in the Owner’s Manual.

Lock (Hold to Unlock) Oven/Cooktop control lockout
To access Oven Control Lockout:

  1. Check that the oven is off.
  2. Press Lock keypad.
  3. A tone will sound and the lock menu will get displayed. Using arrow keys (< >), select “Cooktop and Control Panel” lock or “Cooktop” lock or “Control Panel” lock option and press CONFIRM/MENU to lock.
  4. Press Lock for 3 seconds to unlock. No keypads will function with the controls locked.

Proof
Proofing bread

  1. Place prepared dough in the oven. Press Other Modes. Use arrow keys (< >) to navigate to Proof option and then press CONFIRM/MENU.
  2. Press arrow keys (< >) to select proofing temperature and then press START.
  3. Press CANCEL when finished proofing. Refer to the “Proofing Bread” section for more information.

Air Broil

  1. Press Other Modes. Use arrow keys (< >) to navigate to Air Broil option and then press CONFIRM/MENU.
  2. Press arrow keys (< >) to select temperature (High, Medium, Low).
  3. Press START.
  4. Press CANCEL when food is ready.

Keep Warm
Keeping the food warm at particular temperature

  1. Press Other Modes. Use arrow keys (< >) to navigate to Keep Warm option and then press CONFIRM/MENU.
  2. Press arrow keys (< >) or number keypad to select temperature.
  3. Press START.
  4. Press CANCEL when needed.

Surface Temperature
When the range is in use, all range surfaces may become hot, such as the knobs and oven door.

Oven Vent
The oven vent releases hot air and moisture from the oven, and should not be blocked or covered. Do not set plastics, paper or other items that could melt or burn near the oven vent.

Cooktop Use

WARNING
Fire Hazard
Turn off all controls when done cooking. Failure to do so could result in death or fire.

Ceramic Glass
The surface cooking area may glow red when an element is ON. Some parts of the surface cooking area may not glow red when an element is ON. The glow will also randomly cycle off and back on again, even while on Hi, to keep the cooktop from extreme temperatures. This is normal operation. It is normal for the surface of light colored ceramic glass to appear to change color when surface cooking areas are hot. As the glass cools, it will return to its original color.

  • Avoid storing jars or cans above the cooktop. Dropping a heavy or hard object onto the cooktop could crack the cooktop.
  • To avoid damage to the cooktop, do not leave a hot lid on the cooktop. As the cooktop cools, air can become trapped between the lid and the cooktop and the ceramic glass could break when the lid is removed.
  • For foods containing sugar in any form, clean up all spills and soils as soon as possible. Allow the cooktop to cool down slightly. Then, while wearing oven mitts, remove the spills using a scraper while the surface is still warm. If sugary spills are allowed to cool down, they can adhere to the cooktop and can cause pitting and permanent marks.
  • To avoid scratches, do not slide cookware or bakeware across the cooktop. Aluminum or copper bottoms and rough finishes on cookware or bakeware could leave scratches or marks on the cooktop.
  • Do not cook popcorn in prepackaged aluminum containers on the cooktop. They could leave aluminum marks that cannot be removed completely.
  • To avoid damage to the cooktop, do not allow objects that could melt, such as plastic or aluminum foil, to touch any part of the entire cooktop.
  • To avoid damage to the cooktop, do not use the cooktop as a cutting board.
  • Use cookware about the same size as the surface cooking area. Cookware should not extend more than 1/2″ (1.3 cm) outside the area.
  • Use flat-bottomed cookware for best heat conduction and energy efficiency. Cookware with rounded, warped, ribbed or dented bottoms could cause uneven heating and poor cooking results.
  • Determine flatness by placing the straight edge of a ruler across the bottom of the cookware. While you rotate the ruler, no space or light should be visible between it and the cookware.
  • Cookware designed with slightly indented bottoms or small expansion channels can be used.
  • Make sure the bottoms of pots and pans are clean and dry before using them. Residue and water can leave deposits when heated.
  • To avoid damage to the cooktop, do not cook foods directly on the cooktop.

WipeClean™ Cooktop Coating Cleaning Routine (on some models)
IMPORTANT : Clean the cooktop according to these instructions after each use to avoid soil build ups and to prolong the life of your WipeClean™ Cooktop.

Everyday Cleaning:

  1. Allow the cooktop to cool down completely before proceeding.
  2. Spray the cooktop with water and soak for a minimum of 5 minutes, paying attention to cover the entire soiled area. For heavy stains, soak for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Using a paper or kitchen towel remove the initial layer of soil from the surface.
  4. Use a moist non-abrasive soft sponge and scrub the residual soil from the surface.
  5. With a paper or kitchen towel wipe off and dry the surface.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 as necessary for stubborn soils.

Extremely Tough Soils:

  1. For extremely heavy soils, increase the amount of time soaking in water up to 45 minutes.
  2. If an extremely tough soil persists, apply a few dime-sized drops of a non abrasive cooktop cleaner such as the affresh®✝ Cooktop Cleaner to the affected areas to remove the remaining soil from the surface. Gently apply the cleaner with a paper towel.
    • Wipe away the cleaner with a warm damp cloth after using any detergent.
    • Use of a scraper is not recommended as it might cause potential cooktop scratches.

IMPORTANT : Do not apply excessive pressure while using detergents and do not use coarse or abrasive sponges with them. Detergents containing aggressive particles may damage your cooktop.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Detergents may contain abrasive particles or harsh chemicals: pay attention to detergent’s type when cleaning and do not let them sit on the surface for more than 10 minutes. Avoid these items when it comes to cleaning your glass top stove:
    • Steel wool and other scrubby, abrasive or course sponges
    • Abrasive powder cleansers or abrasive detergents
    • Chlorine bleach
    • Rust remover
    • Ammonia
    • Glass window cleaners
  • Light discoloration on the surface may happen if not cleaning frequently and cooking for a long time or cooking over a soiled surface: they usually do not compromise cleanability and surface properties.
  • Soaking with water will give the best results on cleaning: longer soaking times will increase cleanability efficiency and result, preserving cooktop surface over time.
  • Do not slide pots on the surface or use it as a cutting board. Small scratches on the surface may appear over normal use, as in standard glass, without compromising its performance.
  • Avoid soiling build up on the surface as it can damage your product surface. Clean the cooktop surface after every spill, this will help preserve the cooktop surface over time.

Cooktop On Indicator Light
The Cooktop On indicator light is located on the front panel near switches. When any control knob/cooktop element on the console panel is turned on, the Cooktop On indicator light will glow.

Hot Surface Indicator Light
On ceramic glass models, the hot surface indicator light is located on the console panel. The hot surface indicator light will glow as long as any surface cooking area is too hot to touch, even after the surface cooking area is turned off.

Triple Zone Cooking Element
The Triple Zone cooking element offers flexibility depending on the size of the cookware. Single size can be used in the same way as a regular element. The dual and triple sizes combine the single, dual, and outer element and is recommended for larger cookware, larger quantities of food and home canning.

NOTE : On some models: Settings are marked on the control knob.

Dual Zone Cooking Element
The Dual Zone cooking element offers flexibility depending on the size of the cookware. Single size can be used in the same way as a regular element. The dual size combines both the single and outer element and is recommended for larger size cookware.

Warm Zone
Use the Cooktop Warm Zone to keep cooked foods warm. One hour is the recommended maximum time to maintain food quality. Do not use it to heat cold foods. The Warm Zone can be used alone or when any of the other surface cooking areas are being used. The Warm Zone area will not glow red when cycling on. However, the Cooktop On indicator light will be displayed when the Warm Zone is in use.

  • Use only cookware recommended for oven and cooktop use.
  • Cover all foods with a lid or aluminum foil. When warming baked goods, allow a small opening in the cover for moisture to escape.
  • To avoid damage to the cooktop, do not use plastic wrap to cover food because the plastic wrap may melt.
  • Use pot holders or oven mitts to remove food.

Oven Use
Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is used the first few times or when it is heavily soiled.
IMPORTANT : The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off. Exposure to the fumes may result in death to certain birds. Always move birds to another closed and well ventilated room.

Electronic Oven Controls

Control Display
The display will flash when powered up or after a power loss. Press CANCEL to clear. When the oven is not in use, the time of day is displayed.

Settings
Many features of the oven control can be adjusted to meet your personal needs. These changes are made using the Settings keypad or during the initial product setup. Press the CANCEL keypad to exit Settings.

Fahrenheit and Celsius

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Language & Regional”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Again, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Temperature Unit”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to required setting (Fahrenheit or Celsius), and then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

Audible Tones Disable
Turns off all tones, including the end-of-cycle tone and keypress tones. Reminder tones are still active when all tones are disabled.

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Sound Volume”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Again, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “All Sounds”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Off”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

Timers and Alerts Tone
Activates or turns off the tones that sound at the end of a cycle.

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Sound Volume”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Again, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Timers & Alerts”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to required setting (High, Med, etc), and then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

Key Press Tones
Activates or turns off the tones when a keypad is pressed.

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Sound Volume”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Again, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Buttons & Effects”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to required setting (High, Med, etc), and then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

12/24 Hour Clock

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Language & Regional”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Again, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Time Format”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to required setting (12 or 24 hr), and then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

Demo Mode

IMPORTANT : This feature is intended for use on the sales floor with 120 V power connection and permits the control features to be demonstrated without heating elements turning on. If this feature is activated, the oven will not work.

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Info” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Demo mode”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to required setting (On or Off), and then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

Languages – Scrolling Display Text
Language options are English, Spanish, and French.

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Language & Regional”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Again, use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Language”, and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Once more, use the arrow keys (< >) to required setting (English, French, or Spanish), and then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.

Sabbath Mode
The Sabbath mode sets the oven to remain ON in a bake setting until turned off. When the Sabbath mode is set, only the Bake cycle will operate. All other cooking and cleaning cycles are disabled. No tones will sound and the displays will not indicate temperature changes. When the oven door is opened or closed, the oven light will not turn on or off and the heating elements will not turn on or off immediately.

To Enable/Disable Sabbath Mode

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Sabbath Mode”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Press CONFIRM/MENU once “Set Sabbath” option appears on display. The Sabbath mode will remain active for 72 hours or until manually turned off.
  4. Long press Cancel button to deactivate Sabbath mode.

Sabbath Bake

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Sabbath Mode”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Sabbath Bake”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  4. Read and follow the instructions displayed during Sabbath Bake and press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  5. Set the Sabbath Bake temperature using arrow keys (< >) or number keypad. And then press START button to start the baking.

Oven Temperature Calibration
IMPORTANT : Do not use a thermometer to measure oven temperature. Elements will cycle on and off as needed to provide consistent temperature but may run slightly hot or cool at any point in time due to this cycling. Most thermometers are slow to react to temperature change and will not provide an accurate reading due to this cycling. The oven provides accurate temperatures; however, it may cook faster or slower than your previous oven, so the temperature can be adjusted to personalize it for your cooking needs. It can be changed to Fahrenheit or Celsius.

To Adjust Oven Temperature:

  1. Press the Settings keypad, and then arrow keys (< >) until “Preferences” appears on the screen, then press the CONFIRM/MENU keypad.
  2. Use the arrow keys (< >) to navigate to “Temperature Calibration”, then press the CONFIRM/MENU button.
  3. Use the arrow keys (< >) and CONFIRM/MENU keypad to adjust the temperature setting as required.

Cookware

IMPORTANT : Do not leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or surface burner. Ideal cookware should have a flat bottom, straight sides and a well-fitting lid, and the material should be of medium-to-heavy thickness.

Rough finishes may scratch the cooktop. Aluminum and copper may be used as a core or base in cookware. However, when used as a base, they can leave permanent marks on the surfaces. Cookware material is a factor in how quickly and evenly heat is transferred, which affects cooking results. A nonstick finish has the same characteristics as its base material. For example, aluminum cookware with a nonstick finish will take on the properties of aluminum. Cookware with nonstick surfaces should not be used under the broiler. Check for flatness by placing the straight edge of a ruler across the bottom of the cookware. While you rotate the ruler, no space or light should be visible between it and the cookware.

Use the following chart as a guide for cookware material characteristics.

COOKWARE CHARACTERISTICS

Aluminum

  • Heats quickly and evenly.
  • Suitable for all types of cooking.
  • Medium or heavy thickness is best for most cooking tasks.
  • May leave aluminum residues, which may be diminished if cleaned immediately after cooking.

Cast iron

  • Heats slowly and evenly.
  • Good for browning and frying.
  • Maintains heat for slow cooking.
  • Rough edges or burrs may scratch the cooktop.

Ceramic or Ceramic glass

  • Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Heats slowly, but unevenly.
  • Ideal results on low to medium heat settings.
  • May scratch the cooktop.

Copper

  • Heats very quickly and evenly.
  • May leave copper residues, which may be diminished if cleaned immediately after cooking.
  • Can leave a permanent stain or bond to the cooktop if overheated.

Earthenware

  • Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Use on low heat settings.
  • May scratch the cooktop.

Porcelain enamel-onsteel or cast iron

  • See stainless steel or cast iron.
  • Porcelain enamel bakeware without the metal base may bond to the cooktop if overheated.

Stainless steel

  • Heats quickly, but unevenly.
  • A core or base of aluminum or copper on stainless steel provides even heating.

Use flat-bottomed cookware for best cooking results and energy efficiency. The cookware should be about the same size as the cooking area outlined on the cooktop. Cookware should not extend more than 1/2″ (1.3 cm) outside the area.

Home Canning
Canning can be performed on a glass smooth top cooking surface or traditional coil element cooktop. When canning for long periods, alternate the use of surface cooking areas or elements between batches. This allows time for the most recently used areas to cool.

  • Center the canner on the largest surface cooking area or element. On electric cooktops, canners should not extend more than 1/2″ (1.3 cm) beyond the surface cooking area or element.
  • Do not place canner on 2 surface cooking areas or elements at the same time.
  • On ceramic glass models, use only flat-bottomed canners to avoid damage to the cooktop and elements.
  • For more information, contact your local agricultural extension office, or refer to published home canning guides. Companies that manufacture home canning products can also offer assistance.

Positioning Racks and Bakeware
To move a rack, pull it out to the stop position, raise the front edge, and then lift it out. Use the following illustration and chart as a guide for positioning racks.

Rack Position Type of Food

  • 5 Broiling/searing meats, hamburgers, steaks, or toast.
  • 4 Broiling thicker cuts of meat, poultry, fish, Air fry basket
  • 3 or 4 Frozen prepackaged foods, most baked goods, and casseroles.
  • 1 or 2 Large roasts or poultry

Multiple Rack Cooking
2-rack : Use rack positions 2 and 4.

Bakeware
To cook food evenly, hot air must be able to circulate. Allow 2″ (5 cm) of space around bakeware and oven walls. Make sure that no bakeware piece is directly over another.

Sabbath Mode
Sabbath mode sets the oven to remain on in a bake setting until turned off. When Sabbath mode is set, only the Bake cycle will operate. All other cooking and cleaning cycles are disabled. No tones will sound and the displays will not indicate temperature changes. When the oven door is opened or closed, the oven light will not turn on or off and the heating elements will not turn on or off immediately.

To Enable Sabbath Mode Capability (One Time Only):

  1. Press Settings until “SABBATH” is displayed. “OFF. Press (1) for On” will scroll in the display.
  2. Press 1. “ON. Press (1) for Off” will scroll in the display. Sabbath mode can be activated for baking.
  3. Press the START or CANCEL keypads to exit and display the time of day.
    NOTE : To disable Sabbath mode, repeat steps 1 through 3 to change the status from “SABBATH ON” to “SABBATH OFF.”

To Activate Sabbath Mode:

  1. Press Bake.
  2. Press the number keypads to set a temperature other than 350°F (177°C).
  3. Press the START keypad. For timed cooking in Sabbath mode, press CONFIRM/MENU and then the number keypads to set the desired cook time. Press the START keypad.
  4. Press Settings. Then press 7. “SAb” will appear in the display.

To Adjust Temperature (When Sabbath Mode Is Running):

  1. Press the number keypad as instructed by the scrolling text to select the new temperature.
    NOTE : The temperature adjustment will not appear on the display and no tones will sound. The scrolling text will be shown on the display as it was before the keypad was pressed.

  2. Press the START keypad.

To Deactivate Sabbath Mode:
Press the Settings keypad and then press 7 to return to regular baking, or press the CANCEL keypad to turn off the range.

Air Baking and Roasting
NOTE : The fan will shut off when the oven door is opened. If the oven door remains open for too long, the heating elements will shut off until the oven door is closed. All timers, including any active Cook Time or Timed Cook functions, will continue to count down.

During air baking or roasting, the bake and broil elements or burners cycle on and off in intervals to maintain the oven temperature while the fan circulates the hot air. If the oven door is opened during air baking or roasting, the fan will turn off immediately. It will come back on when the oven door is closed.

No Preheat
No Preheat automatically adjusts the manufacturer’s bake time by combining preheating and baking, to deliver great packaged frozen food results without the wait. There are two programmed food options to choose from: Pizza, Lasagna. The No Preheat cycles have been customized to work only with these foods. When using No Preheat, it is important that you follow all manufacturer’s instructions including venting, covering, stirring or placing on a baking sheet to ensure a good result. When cooking frozen meals, only cook items that provide instructions for cooking in a conventional oven. Place your dish in the center of the rack and select one of the rack positions recommended for No Preheat in the “Positioning Racks and Bakeware” section and bake only one package or pan at a time. Use the temperature and minimum bake time from the package.

A tone will alert you to check the food for doneness before the cook time is complete and again at the end of the cook time. The display will prompt you to add additional cook time if needed.

Air Frying
While air frying, the heating elements and convect fan cycle on and off in intervals to maintain the oven temperature while the fan circulates the hot air. Close the oven door to ensure proper temperature.

IMPORTANT : Cooking times, temperatures, and general instructions may vary depending on recipe. Air frying in a large oven cavity allows for more food to be air fried at one time, longer baking times are to be expected.

  • When air frying, food should be evenly spaced in an air fry basket in a single layer.
  • Refer to instructions on packaged food for conventional oven baking regarding air fry time and temperature.
  • For fresh food recipes with bake times over 30 minutes, a 5-10 minutes preheat is recommended.
  • For frozen, bone-in, or dense foods with cook times less than 15 minutes, additional time may be required.
  • It is not recommended to use wet batter when air frying.
  • For best performance, shake or flip food half-way through bake time. Be sure to close the oven door after removing and inserting the food back to the cavity.
  • Spray air fry basket with oil to avoid food sticking to basket.
    NOTE : Greasy foods may cause smoke during the air fry cycle. Properly using the air fry basket and baking sheet will help to reduce the amount of smoke produced. Maintaining a clean oven and baking sheet will also help reduce the amount of smoke.

Broiling
When broiling, preheat the oven for 2 minutes before putting food in, unless recommended otherwise in the recipe. Position food on grid in a broiler pan, and then place it in the center of the oven rack.
IMPORTANT : Close the door to ensure proper broiling temperature.

Changing the temperature when broiling allows more precise control when cooking. The lower the broil setting is, the slower the cooking. Thicker cuts and unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish, and poultry may cook better at lower broil settings. Refer to the “Positioning Racks and Bakeware” section for more information. On lower settings, the broil element will cycle on and off to maintain the proper temperature.

  • For best results, use a broiler pan and grid. It is designed to drain juices and help avoid spatter and smoke.

Air Cooking
In a oven, the fan-circulated hot air continually distributes heat more evenly than the natural movement of air in a standard thermal oven. This movement of hot air helps maintain a consistent temperature throughout the oven, cooking foods more evenly, crisping surfaces while sealing in moisture, and yielding crustier breads.

During baking or roasting, the bake, broil, and elements cycle on and off in intervals while the fan circulates the hot air. During broiling, the broil elements cycle on and off. If the oven door is opened during cooking, the fan will turn off immediately. It will come back on when the oven door is closed. With air cooking, most foods can be cooked at a lower temperature and/or a shorter cooking time than in a standard thermal oven. Use the following chart as a guide.

Mode Time/Temperature Guidelines

  • Air Bake 25°F (15°C) lower temperature, possible shortened cooking time
  • Air Roast Cooking time shortened by up to 30%
  • Broil Shortened cooking time

Options

  • Air Baking – multiple-rack baking or cookies, biscuits, breads, casseroles, tarts, tortes, cakes
  • Air Roast – whole chicken or turkey, vegetables, pork roasts, beef roasts
  • Air Broil – thicker cuts or unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish, or poultry

Proofing Bread
Proofing bread prepares the dough for baking by activating the yeast. Follow the recipe directions as a guide. Proof should be used for fresh dough, thawed dough, and for the first and second rise.

To Proof:
Before first proofing, place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover loosely with wax paper, coated with shortening. Place on rack guide 2 and close the oven door.

NOTE : If the temperature of the oven is greater than 115°F (46°C), “Oven Cooling” will be displayed until the temperature is less than 115°F (46°C). Before second proofing, shape the dough, place it in baking pan (s), and cover loosely.

NOTE : If the oven temperature is greater than 115°F (46°C), the display will indicate “Oven Cooling” until the temperature is below 115°F (46°C).
