GENELEC 8000-409BB Monitor Stand

GENELEC 8000-409BB/BW Monitor stand – for series 8x0x, 4x0x, 1x3x, G-Series, M-Series

  • Double-secured steel tube combination
  • Round, flat cast-iron base (ø 450 mm, 6.8 kg)
  • Load-bearing capacity 35 kg (see safety instructions: section: C)
  • Height adjustable from 930 – 1430 mm
  • integrated threaded bush M8 for mounting a monitor/bearing plate

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • GENERAL
    • The stand should be visually inspected before and after use.
    • Damaged or incomplete stands should not be used or only used after repair.
    • Please ensure that the floor is suitable, i.e. level and stable
    • If necessary, remove the load before you change the position of the stand
    • Keep unauthorized persons away
    • Observe the instruction manual and keep it for future reference
  • MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
    • Handle the base and tube combination with care and do not drop B. – (risk of crushing, damage to the floor, etc.)
    • Make sure that the screw connections are tight (base, tubes, load)
  • LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY
    • The max. load capacity of 35 kg applies exclusively to loads which C. – act exactly vertically on the tube combination.
    • This is NOT given…
    • a. …with off-centre loads, i.e. the centre of gravity of the load is not
    • a. directly above the tube combination,
    • b. …when the stand is at an angle (e.g. when the floor is inclined or
    • b. if the base tube is screwed loosely) as well as
    • c. …in case of external influences and disturbances (tugging on the
    • c. stand, shocks from passers-by, wind forces, vibrations, etc.)   This creates TILTING hazards which significantly reduce the specified
    •  load-bearing capacity of max. 35 kg.
  • EXTENDING/RETRACTING THE LOAD
    • This should be always carried out by two competent persons (P1, P2)
    • P1: holds the extension tube together with the load firmly and securely;
    • P2: secures the selected height by engaging the tail hook 2.4
    • P2: and tightening the clamping screw 2.6.

SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

ASSEMBLY

  1. Lay out base plate a with felt pads facing downwards.
  2. Screw the threaded bolt b.1 of the base tube into the base plate a up to stop.

EXTENDING

  1. Slightly loosen the wing nut of the tension clamp a.
  2. Lift the extension tube b, whereby…
  3. …the tail hook automatically unlocks (and remains in unlocked position).
  4. The tail hook must be actively pushed into the recess of the extension tube.
  5. As soon as the hook is immersed, the tube is lowered by 2 mm, thus preventing an  untended disengaging of the tail hook.
  6. Retighten the wing nut.

RETRACTION

  1. Slightly loosen the wing nut of the tension clamp a.
  2. First lift the extension tube b a little…
  3. …whereby the tail hook unlocks automatically.
  4. Subsequently, retract the extension tube and…
  5. …push the tail hook back into the recess and let it hook into the extension tube. 3.6 Retighten the wing nut.
